Will get the job done if you're like me and feel you must have some green juice in your system. Otherwise, save your coins and look elsewhere. Overpriced for their size juice. The "large" is more a size medium. There's no create your own juice option. The wellness shots are bottled and not fresh. Definitely turned me off juice wise but I can't speak for their bowls. That may be their specialty hence the name haha.

I order my bowl and wait 45 minutes before I finally get it (there were 3 other people in the store and I was first). The staff was rude and served at least four people before I got served. They also didn't say anything about the wait or bag up my bowl like everyone else who took it to go. Then I opened it and it's not what I ordered. Overall a bad experience.

Incorrect bowl & small portion

Staff member who I spoke with was extremely rude. I think she might be new because I've been coming here for so long and never seen her. She argued with me about the accuracy of my order and that she "made it right the first time" until I read to her the ticket that I handed her. I had to go ingredient by ingredient to explain to her how to make the bowl and how it says it right there on the ticket I handed back to her. She "remade" my bowl (took to the back) 3x and it was still incorrect. I had to wait an additional 10-15 minutes for her to figure it out and she couldn't even get it figured out. It really isn't that difficult. She ended up scraping off the toppings and putting them back on but by then the bowl was completely melted and the toppings were STILL wrong. I am missing many of what I paid for in addition to what the bowl comes with in the first place, including goji berries and almonds. I really don't understand what is so difficult about this situation and why it was still not right in the end.

Even though I've had their bountiful açaí bowls in the past at other Vitality Bowls locations, I really wasn't looking for this superfood chain spot when I came upon it as a detour during a long walk on the Lafayette-Moraga Trail. Its only qualification for me patronizing this shop was its familiarity to me and my own delusion that I could eat something "light" in the late afternoon. My sheer ignorance led me to ordering the $8.99 Vitality Wrap with an additional $3 for Grilled Chicken. The price was fine, but the calorie count left me slack-jawed since it was 770 calories without the chicken Holy smokes! That probably meant I was kissing a thousand calories for the indulgence of hummus, avocado, grains, roasted potatoes, red onion, lemon tahini vinaigrette, and something called superseed crunch. It was all enveloped in a large tomato basil tortilla (photo: https://bit.ly/39stqVf). It wasn't bad, but if I had the toast instead of the tortilla, I could've cut out three hundred calories. Let's just say I need to be more mindful about my choices. I felt like I had to jog the rest of the trail in double time. OK, like that really happened. My Fitness Pal slapped its forehead though. FOOD - 3 stars...certainly filling and tasty enough but the calories hit me hard AMBIANCE - 3 stars...pretty much like every shop in the chain with just a couple of tables set up for eating SERVICE - 3.5 stars...someone in training TOTAL- 3 stars...the wrap must be for triathletes RELATED - Exploring this part of Contra Costa County? Yummy! Warrior Bowl + The Dragon Smoothie

5 stars for keeping it OG with the açaí bowl (I.e. the "vitality bowl"). I love all of the bowls and smoothies I've tried, but my one gripe is with often having to wait to pick up my order until someone comes out from the back. There's a bell on the door, but it's pretty faint. I find myself waiting on nearly every occasion for 5, 10, 15, 20 minutes sometimes - waiting for my order that is likely already made and waiting for me in the fridge! End rant :) Lucky for this superfood gem, I'm obsessed with their bowls and could eat here every day of my life for years. Also, loving the new food / snacks / quick bites from "the harvest kitchen"

Delicious açaí bowls with plenty of options to choose from. I did the original and it was exactly what I was craving. Perfect size and had great flavors with just the right balance of sweet fruit and crunchy granola. Highly recommend!

What's great is that this place opens rather early, 9 am. The smoothie was yummy. It contained pieces of oats (from the added granola) so it was kind of hard to sip through a straw. I think next time I'll tell them to just blend it all together. It's a pretty smoothie to look at and it was made perfectly. I'll have to try a bowl soon. There's plenty of outside seating. Staff is friendly. It's not very big inside. Best to order and then wait outside if it's busy.

This location is much smaller than the Livermore and Fremont stores, many people stood off to the sides like sardines waiting for their order or just outside. The service was good - I was appreciative of the young lady who took my order was very polite, patient, and was actually able to answer my questions around their rewards program and ensured that I got my points after making my purchase. My order took about 8-10 minutes as they were quite busy on a Sunday afternoon. I ordered a custom medium acai and mango bowl with a variety of fruits (not all), granola, and drizzles. The total was over $14 with tax. When I got my order, it looked just as colorful as always, but with less fruit toppings than I was expecting from past Palmetto visits at other locations. These fruit bowls aren't cheap, not sure if that's how the WC location operates, but I'll keep that in mind for next time if I'm back in the area.

I will say that my juice order has come wrong when I've put it in, so if you're on a specific cleanse cycle and need a specific number I would probably walk in instead to make sure you get the correct one, however the sizing of the juices themselves are perfect. Of the two I would choose Pressed Juicery over Palmetto Superfoods, just based on the options they have and how much I enjoyed their final product, so all in all, I've really enjoyed Pressed Juicery's wares and will definitely keep coming back.

Absolutely stupid experience with the Pleasant Hill Vitality Bowls location and corporate customer…read moreservice. We placed a Mother's Day order for pickup Sunday morning. My husband arrived around 8:10 AM, after the store's posted opening time of 8:00 AM, only to find the business completely closed with no communication whatsoever. No call. No email. No cancellation notice. Nothing. What followed was somehow worse. I called the store multiple times throughout the day and left several voicemails that were never returned. I also emailed both the location and corporate customer service and received no response. Corporate didn't answer their phones either. All of this over a $35 order that the business happily charged for but never fulfilled. Today, I went into the store in person to ask for a refund and was met with attitude and defensiveness from the manager instead of accountability or even a simple apology. I was told they "do answer their phones" despite my multiple unanswered calls and voicemails. I was then told they could not issue a refund because it had been "more than two days," even though the delay was entirely caused by their complete lack of response and failure to handle the issue. The store being unexpectedly closed is frustrating enough. Ignoring customers afterward and then treating them poorly when they ask for their money back is unacceptable. I'm still waiting to hear from the "other manager" or "boss" who is supposedly able to process my refund. Who apparently already had my information but was "too busy" to respond to me sooner. Give me a break. At this point, it's not even about the $35. It's about the complete lack of professionalism, communication, and basic customer service.

He ended up ordering an iced turkish coffee with milk. It was hot outside, so I went in to grab some water. Their water container was not only basically empty, but it was also warm. Gross. I decided I would rather pay for a cup of iced water (because in a lot of the places I've been to, they charge for it). I go up to the register and ask if I can buy a plastic cup with iced water. The cashier/pastry cook/barista says, "Water?" and I repeat that I want a cup with iced water. She says, "Ice?" and I say, yes please. She goes right next to where the other barista is and she grab a scoop full of ice and gestures it to me. I'm kind of confused by this point, and it seems like the other barista is too. And then I ask again if I can get it in a plastic cup. Then the other barista points to one of the paper cups next to the warm water container, but then I ask them again if I could please get it in one of the cups they have, (because I wanted to be able to carry it around with a lid). That's when the other barista says, "You're doing too much, but okay." And she passes me the plastic cup, without a lid, acting as if I just asked her for her whole paycheck and half the drinks on the menu. I'm definitely annoyed at this point, but I don't care enough to be rude back. Then she says she's going to fill up the container. So she goes, gets the container to fill it up, and I'm there waiting with my friend in the store. It looks like she's the only barista there, so it keeps taking a little longer for the drink(s) to come out. When she finally comes back with a semi-filled container, I'm conversing with my friend, when she turns sharply and says, "Were you going to order anything??" in a pretty snappy tone, as if I'm only worth giving a plastic cup to if I'm going to order more. We reply that we already ordered, and she goes back to finish drinks that a previous customer had ordered. It's two drinks, and I assume that it took about 12-15 minutes for them to receive what looked like small hot drinks. I say this because these customers were sitting there well before my friend and I arrived, took time to order, and then were waiting for our drinks. After that, we're still waiting while she goes to take orders, and that's when the cashier/pastry cook/barista woman finishes my friends drink... after having stood there FOREVER while the other barista was going in circles. I was shocked to say the least, kind of amused, but also disappointed because these customers drink was about 8-9 bucks, the wait time was about 8-10 minutes, and the drink was disgusting. Actually insane. I don't recommend this place whatsoever. Place looks mid, service was abominable, and the workers look like they hate each other and anyone who asks for a plastic cup with iced water. Do better, and preferably give us back our money for the nasty drink+attitude combo.

The morning ritual is the best smoothie I've ever had. It's hard to balance health and flavor, but this was both healthy and incredible. They list the ingredients used in each smoothie, so you know all of what they contain. You can even add different boosters such as mass muscle, etc. It's located inside of a gym, to the right side of it. Don't be thrown off, you don't need a membership to enjoy the fantastic smoothies. The workers have been really sweet each time we've visited, and when we ordered via Uber it was ready upon arrival. One of the only drawbacks is how expensive it is. I also really wish that they listed their nutrition facts online. For such a health oriented company it's shocking that they don't, and especially a company of decent size. The smoothies contain dates, nuts, etc. So although they are good ingredients they can be high in fats, so it's important to know. Our smoothie also has coffee as well which we enjoy, but knowing the caffeine content would be appreciated. My last order also had huge white frozen balls that were unblended in it which was odd, I'm not quite sure what they were. If the price was lower, we would come here much more often. It is a great way to start your morning, and makes you feel fantastic afterwards.
