The staff also wears gloves when handling food. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is available for take outs and has some indoor & outdoor seating available with no limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was grabbing my drink from this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They currently don't have happy hour. Came through the drive through ordered an iced shaken espresso with sf vanilla, and received the wrong drink, they immediately made a new one and apologized, even before I realized that the drink I had wasn't correct. Yeah, gotta love the old memories hanging out here with wild teens and college students, and ex girlfriends back in the days. Thus used to be a afternoon location for Monrovia High Students, and Clifton High Students. I still come here maybe every 5 months for coffee, and its new people. Servers are cool here. Funny I reviewed this Starbucks 5 years ago and the service is still bad if not worse. Constantly getting orders wrong, missing items, this time I got a whole different order. I guess partly my fault for not checking. But they ask your name and everything and still get it wrong. Sad, because it's my closest one. But I guess even more reason to support small local shops. For the price of stuff now, you only can hope that the items are correct. But it sure is disappointing when you go to eat and you have a whole different order. read more

The one thing I do like about this location is it is a drive thru. My main problem with this location is a lot of the times that orders aren't correct and their staff can be very rude about it. They leave out a lot of substitutions, which is frustrating but they do have the two drive thrus for when it gets really busy making the trip pretty quick. I just wish they got the orders correct more often and had more respectful staff at the window. but they do always have the food selections that I'm looking for. read more

After ordering a couple drinks, only one special request was made, and it wasn't even that special, I asked for light ice. The person that took the order said OK we will see you at the window after receiving the first drink. Everything seemed OK and received the second drink the entire cup was filled with ice all the way to the top, I wasn't angry or irritated. I had just asked is there anyway they could fix it and immediately the barista at the window seemed irritated about it and offered an extra cup of milk instead of remaking the drink that I paid for how I wanted it. The barista also wrote "WOW" on the cup and asked with a sly remark "is that better?" I'm not one for attitude, but I'm also not one to be rude so I just said yeah that's perfect. Kind of a bummer that people have so much of an attitude when it comes to just performing their job the way they're supposed to do it. If a customer has a request and you agree to it, it would be appreciated if you follow through with no hassle. I had a very simple order, matcha, almond milk and no ice....they still got it wrong.

I don't typically visit major chains but I just had to try the new Pistachio Latte bc I love all things pistachio! I was so disappointed I didn't even take pics - sorry. So here's my rating breakdown - 5 stars for service and the egg bites, 1 star for the latte! First the good: We went through the drive through - standard experience, easy, line moved super fast. The staff were very friendly and helpful - super nice! No complaints whatsoever! We ordered the Pistachio latte and the bacon gruyere egg bites. The egg bites were great! Fluffy, perfect size, super hot, lovely balance of flavors - and easy on the calories! Now the negative: The Pistachio Lattes were a HUGE disappointment!! HUGE!! They were completely flavorless - didn't even taste like coffee - basically just tasted like scalded milk. Not sure if they messed up making it or if it's just a dud of a flavor. Anyway, I'll probably give it one more try just to make sure I didn't catch a bad batch or something. And I'd totally come back to this location - but not for that drink lol. read more

My bf and I came here in the morning to grab a breakfast sandwich and a blueberry muffin. While waiting for the cars ahead of me I saw a bag left out on the ledge and I thought to myself why is there a bag there is that trash? Nope, when it's finally my turn to get to the window to pick my food she tries to hand me that bag and I was shocked. Like this lady at the Starbucks drive thru window placed my bag of food on the outside ledge while helping customers in the cars in front of me leaving my food OUTSIDE like trash during these transactions allowing gross air being blown inside my bag from a bug deter vent above that is meant to blow bugs away from the window. So gross. While my bag of food is sitting on the metal ledge there is air blowing inside my bag from some dirty vent above. Vents harbor bacteria. Why on earth was my food left on the ledge outside during her transactions with other customers in their cars before me allowing extra car exhaust near my food too. I don't see the logic there other than no consideration for the health of the customer. I told her I don't feel comfortable she left my food outside for the bacteria air to blow inside it I watched the air blowing in the wide open bag for her whole transactions with customers and the car exhaust and was doing cash transactions right over my food. She said with attitude "ok I will get you a new one" and she walked my bag of food to the back as if she's not throwing it away and she went out of my view. So I then felt like since she didn't show herself throwing it away I can't go based of faith that she actually will bring me a new one and not just reheat the one left out since I couldn't see her from the window, so I just left. I'm not going to pay nor consume something that makes me feel unsure and uncomfortable about the way it was handled. Why on earth would you leave it outside on the ledge directly under dirty air being blow inside?! And for car exhaust to go in and doing cash transactions with strangers over it? I wasted my gas waiting in that drive thru line too. I'll never be going back to this place because they don't handle your food properly. read more

This is a drive-thru only Starbucks, and usually has a long line of cars in the driveway. When this occurs, I just go to the walk-up counter and it seems to go a bit faster, as long as it's not too complicated. I have to say this is the first bad review I've ever left on any business. I have never felt the need to leave one, as I understand people/businesses have bad days. Unfortunately, I felt that my experience this evening was noteworthy. The girl who took my order through the drive-thru, missed half of my drinks, and the other half that she did get, was wrong. To start off, when I got to the window, she gave me terrible attitude when I asked for whip on one of the drinks. Instead of just adding whip, she argued with me and claimed I had said no whip when asked. Then, when I asked about my two missing drinks, she claimed I didn't order them. At this point, I didn't want to argue, so I asked if I could order them and I'd pick them up at the walk-up window, as I was aware of the line behind me. She proceeded to tell me that it wouldn't be possible as she had to keep the line moving and that any extra drinks would have to be ordered at the walk-up window. What kind of customer service is that? She got my order wrong, and she still couldn't accommodate me on an order that would have taken seconds to place? It is very unfortunate that this Starbucks has an employee with no customer service skills because everyone else, especially the morning crew, have always been so great. read more

There is a reason that Starbucks the Company can successfully open up many stores in a relatively small area and have them all maintain at least a modicum of success: the business model is so precise, so defined, and held to such a standard of specific metrics that going to one is almost identical as visiting another. Certainly, some provide different amenities than others, but the customer service, the speed, the convenience of app pay, and of course, the consistent delivery of drinks and food make this place highly successful. This new location is no exception. Someone intelligent decided that a drive thru and walk-up Starbucks would work best here, primarily because it is adjacent to a large comprehensive high school with many middle and elementary schools close by. The queue disallows students to mob and camp; sure, some students doing homework might buy drinks, but their eight friends taking up seating and just hanging out won't. Not a problem here. Moreover, many folks don't want to navigate shoals of high school kids to get a cup of coffee... Remember, there are at least three other Starbucks stores fewer than two miles away (not to mention Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, 7 Elevens, etc.) The drive thru is a little tight for my big truck, but not as bad as the Weinerschnitzel in Monrovia... Not that I know anything about that. The staff working here was highly trained, courteous, and made a great drink, served with a smile and a "Have a Wonderful Day." It doesn't seem like Starbucks, as a corporation, believe in market saturation or self cannibalism. There are 2 other Starbucks just a few minutes away by car. One on Foothill & Myrtle, and another on Hungtington Drive. The newest location, as of April '16, just opened in the past week.But what makes this location different is you can only get your caffeine (or loaded sugar) fix by drive-thru or the walk up window. There are no A/C cooled comfy chairs inside for you to sit in while playing on your devices. There are no hip, loungy music playing. There is only outside seating. This location serves your typical Starbucks drinks. It appears to be ideal for people who live nearby and prefer to walk here to use their walk up window, or for those who are just too lazy to walk 30 feet from their car to order a drink. If you're looking for a climate controlled Starbucks w/ free wifi, drive to one of the other nearby locations. I've been coming here trying to find which Starbucks is better in Monrovia. This place is a hit and miss. I always order the Mocha Cookie Crumble and this is what I experienced. The girls at 860 nails it and always adds coffee to the frapp, but when the guys make it it tastes like it was made with chocco milk, whip, cookie crumbles and no coffee. A grown person needs their caffeine in the morning. Only one girl always asks if I want coffee, no one else does. If they don't ask I'm expecting that they'll put coffee in it anyway but they don't. If I come here again I'm not going through the drive thru, I want to see who's working to make sure I don't get the kids drink next time. For now I'll just go to Huntington and Magnolia. I had just gotten done with business nearby, and I was looking for something fresh to drink. I thus stopped by this Starbucks location to get an iced tea for the road home. I ordered my iced tea, and made a pit stop while they prepped my drink. The restroom was kept in order, and entrance to it requires a code. My drink actually took a bit of time, but the drive thru at this location was very busy, so that was understandable. Once I got my drink, I headed back to my car, ready to hit the road. As I took a zip of my iced tea, I noticed that it had a bitter taste to it. I was not cool with this, but I was already a few miles away from the place by the time I realized it. This is not unique to this locaiton, however. I've noticed that the iced teas from Starbucks have come out mediocre. They taste way too bitter, and it didn't used to be this way, even for unsweetened teas. With that said, I won't be coming back to this location anytime soon. And I will henceforth get my coffee and teas from other coffee shops. read more

The worst Starbucks I've been too. The drinks and costumer service are the same, but all the problems are with the design of the store. First, there's no indoor seating! This location is completely outdoors. There's about 15 tables and about twice as many chairs in their outdoor patio, so there's the space to make this indoors but for whatever reason it isn't. Secondly, there's no wall plugs! And lastly which is the most surprising, is there's no Wi-Fi! The goggle Starbucks WiFi shows up but it doesn't allow you to connect. This location might as well be a drive thru only. Why even provide and outdoor experience if it's going to be a half-thought out one? I would only come here for drive thru only. This is basically a drive-thru only Starbucks I drove thru- got two regular coffees-I came back an hour later for my free refills using my Starbucks app when I was denied because the policy at this particular Starbucks is that you can't get a free refill if you leave the premises -however it's a drive-thru. I live within walking distance to this location, so I frequently find myself here. This location mainly stays busy off of the high school kids going during their breaks. It has no indoor seating and very little shade. It is not a great place to sit, especially with all the road noise. When driving, you can almost get hit everyday because of the side entrance and the gas station across the street. They put in a second drive thru line which has helped a little with that. The one thing that bothers me the most is they are always out of different syrups. They constantly have no Cinnamon dolce syrup for coffee. When they do run out, it takes weeks for them to restock. I think I will start visiting one of the other 5 locations we have within a mile of here from now on. There is one in Vons, one in Vons parking lot, one in Ralph's, one on Huntington, and they are building a new one by the new Chick-fil-A on Huntington. People must like over-priced coffee around these parts. read more

Gal at register very helpful as you cannot see the food choices in a case or on a menu board she ran through options for me. Tried the new breakfast egg duo and they were great. Much prefer to the hot breakfast sandwiches which tend to be big on bread and low on filling.
