If I can give this establishment 0 stars I would. I have never received such poor customer service. I do not recommend this Coldstone location to anyone. I ordered a $50 custom cake a few days ago and this is what I received. Firstly, the worked handed me the bag closed and I just knew something was wrong. I opened it up in the store and I was appalled. The cake was absolutely atrocious. I have never seen something so poorly made in my life. The cake was falling apart in front of me. One piece of Oreo fell down. I have no words for the writing and the ganache and chocolate shavings had missing spots throughout the cake. I have no idea how this is even considered ok. Secondly, aside from the looks the cake I just want to point out that the worker never apologize nor seem any bit empathetic towards my frustration. Can you imagine that you order a cake and now you have to show up to a birthday without one due the fact that you'd be embarrassed to show up with it? We were offered a large cake however the price difference between this and our customer cake was $5. At this point, I was beyond frustrated and simply wanted a refund. The worker said she was UNABLE to provide me a refund without her managers approval. Fine, we waited. The manager did not answer after three tries and at this point we were very late to our event. The worker did not try to resolve this situation whatsoever, we had to ask for the manager to contact us regarding this. About an hour later, we received a call from the worker and not the manager. The solution they wanted to provide was to give us just a 20% refund and their reasoning was that this was a custom cake. Although I understand this is a custom cake, do you see the cake? Been getting their Triple size make your own ice-cream version. When you get ice cream at Coldstone go big, you won't regret it. Lately been coming here for weekly supplies and getting same flavor; chocolate, walnut, and brownies. Service is fast, I felt bad for they only have 1 worker and there's always people line up when we stop by. But always efficient and friendly. Amazing hospitality! The gentleman who served me was very accommodating of my order which really made my night.

Operating a business with only one employee on duty while customers are lined out the door demonstrates a serious disregard for both staff well being and basic operational standards. Expecting a single worker to manage overwhelming demand alone is unacceptable and reflects poor management and inadequate staffing practices. I waited outside for an hour while worker was inside and wouldn't give me my cake. Aside from that I paid 130$ for a cake that looked like a 10 year old decorated it. I asked for my money back they gave me 30$ back. Once we cut the cake the layer of ice cream was almost none. Mostly frosting and yellow cake. Nice and welcoming staff. This location does not have any indoor seating and is fulfilling a lot of delivery orders. The ice cream was okay as it was pretty melted after the mix-ins. Not sure if the stone needs to be colder but we were there only guests when I visited. The top of my ice cream was very soft but everything in the cup was soupy. read more

When we arrived it was really hot outside but super cool inside the store (they had the doors open but still managed to be cool inside). When I arrived I told the staff my name and waited for the cake. It was for Father's Day and the person who usually writes on the cake didn't come in so the staff had to write it for us. Since I didn't realize the cake was sooooo small (because the cookies decorations took up so much space!) they could only write "HFD!" Since the space was too small. They also ran out of red frosting so I got. Lie frosting instead. I was greatly appreciated they were able to help me out despite the cake decorator not being there! We went inside the shop the lady behind the counter completely ignored two 5.9 feet tall women and a kid for almost 10 min (Mentioning the height because we were VERY MUCH visible). This Cold Stone Creamery is located right next door to Studio Movie Grill with (free) parking available right out front and other (free) parking lots nearby in case you aren't able to get a parking spot this close. I came by this location with my husband last Friday, around 3:45 pm. There was only one family of 4 ahead of us. We were greeted when we came in by the 2 employees working. When it was our turn to order, we ended up getting: Love It Size, $6.49 prior to tax- For this, you can get up to 2 different ice cream scoops and comes with 1 topping. We ended up getting banana on top and peanut butter on the bottom. We picked the graham cracker pie crust as the topping. I thought the banana ice cream was good, which really made me think that it was just ripe bananas that was pureed and placed into an ice cream maker with minimal sugar. But I didn't like the peanut butter. I felt that it was just too over powering and would not order that again (my husband picked the flavors and the topping). I didn't really like the topping and probably would have preferred something with more texture and flavor. ----------------------------- (Total= $7.11 after tax) Service was friendly for the most part. When reaching for a spoon, I just asked myself out loud if the metal container by the register was for clean spoons (I talk out loud more often then I should sometimes). After a minute or so, two employees come from the back of the store. I ask to sample a flavor and much to my shock, he reaches in the freezer with bare hands with something black on his knuckles. He proceeded to make me ice cream which I was fine with at long as he wasn't touching it but when I asked for cone, he literally digs through container with his bare hands to dig through the cones to find the kind that I requested. That's nasty as hell! He just raw dogged like 12 cones. I don't want to be that type of person to ask someone to wear gloves or grab a tong or something before going bareback on my waffle cone so I just watched in disgust. I threw that crap in the trash when I walked out. We obviously don't know what's happening with our food when we go out, but to see someone with something already on their knuckles probably tells me you haven't washed your hands. What happened? I'm a big fan of Cold Stone. I've never had a bad experience. My other reviews are based on different locations. And I give 5 stars. They are my go-to for birthday cakes. I came in to try two new flavors. The pictures looked good. But I didn't get what saw. I understand things look better on photos. But this was not so good because the taste didn't match the description either. And also, I asked for a medium size cup with both flavors. They ended up giving me two medium sized portions of two flavors. I told the gentleman that I wanted both flavors in a medium cup. He said to specify by asking for half portions. I understand. But it would have saved us both the hassle if he would have mentioned that BEFORE he made them. Service was good. I give the young guys here two thumbs up. They were busy and they managed to help people at a good speed and friendly. I'll still come back if I'm in the area. But not for those flavors. Keep up the good work guys. Ordered from Cold stone thru Uber Eats at 9pm on 1/20/24 , it showed they closed at 10:30pm. They had around 3 drivers "pick up" the order and it was canceled back to back. Kinda disappointed with this cold stone! I've been to others in the area, from Rosemead to Covina and this one is really dirty... and the workers don't mix the ingredients well enough. The workers seemed like they didn't want to be there....We went to try the Nintendo flavors and my daughter got the Kirby one. We ordered her the "Like it" size, and they 1. Didn't have marshmallows which was part of the Kirby flavor... and 2. Gave it to her in a normal cup and not in a Kirby one as advertised. Not only that, but almost didn't give us a Kirby cup to trade it (daughter was really sad she wasn't getting the cool cup) and gave a bunch of attitude, which wasn't called for. We were on our way to London when we passed by - I knew I had some time before the rest of my crew was gonna get there so I ran into cold stones & the smell just brought back so many memories lol. Purchased Father's Day cake online for pickup at 3pm on the following day arrived at 3:10 to discover the location was closed although the sign said open and the lights were, I assumed maybe they stepped out or would be right back so I left came back 15 minutes later and waited for 20 minutes now it's 345pm I've called multiple times and knocked, so I left extremely frustrated. Only way to cancel was to speak someone over the phone which was not happening.. Next day I decide to go pick it up and share my frustrations. Show up at 11:35 am once again the business is closed this times the open sign isn't on and the lights are off.. this time I see a person they wave to tell me there closed so through the door if I can't pickup my cake I need to cancel it.. a gentlemen comes to the door letting me know there closed and open at 12 now a few inches from his face are the business hours which clearly state 11 am and on their website, Yelp google etc all say 11 am he just says sorry they open at 12.. I say then just cancel my cake he offers to grab it for me. I then proceed to let him know I was here yesterday for my 3pm pickup and waited over 30 minutes between 3-345 and again the business was closed, he replied that's when he usually takes he lunch. Obviously putting a sign in the door and not allowing people to pickup an item when they know won't be open is to much to ask.
