Most of what we get here in the States is sad, bland, and bloated with ingredients that sound like they belong in a chemistry lab. But this? Wildflour Artisan Sourdough? This is the kind of bread that makes you stop mid-bite and go, "Damn." First off, the loaf is beautiful. Not "oh that's nice" beautiful! It's rustic, crackly, hand-scored, I'm-gonna-take-a-photo-and-stare-at-it beautiful. The crust is deeply caramelized with a rich, golden-brown color, and it has a bold ear (that signature raised edge from the scoring). The scoring itself is almost too pretty to eat. A delicate leaf pattern that's both rustic and artistic, dusted lightly with flour to make it pop. Maybe give it a little character as well. The loaf has that satisfying contrast between the crackly, blistered crust and the clean, intentional scoring. It looks like something that belongs in a Parisian bakery window or a still life painting about comfort and obsession. You can feel the love that went into it. And you can taste it. Yeah... this isn't just bread. It's craft. And the baker... yeah, she's not just slinging carbs for profit. She sent me an email breaking down the process, and I swear it read like a love letter to wheat. Organic everything. Fresh-milled Rouge de Bordeaux wheat from a regenerative farm. Cold fermentation for up to 32 hours. A rye starter that's alive and thriving. This is three-ingredient poetry. And that she could talk about bread all day. What hit me, though? I asked her about nut allergies because my daughter's allergic, and most people either freeze up or give you a half-answer. She was thoughtful, honest, and admitted that cross-contamination might be a concern. Didn't brush it off, didn't try to sell me. I could tell she just cared. That alone would've sold me, but the bread did too. Bottom line: if you've ever wanted to know what sourdough should taste like, this is it. A little crusty, a little chewy, full of tang and soul. The flavors were great and if I had to get Crumbl again it would only be this flavor - but again the texture was just too thick and doughy.  The other two cookies were bland to the point of just being wasted calories. I felt like I was eating paste. I had really high hopes for the brownie bc it looked awesome and I love anything with marshmallow. It tasted nice enough and the marshmallow icing was good but the brownie was insanely thick - and again very doughy and seemed undercooked.  The cookies and brownies are massive, so in terms of quantity the high prices may be justified - but the quality definitely isn't there for me. I ended up getting a couple cheese and a chicken tamal just to try them out and they were just ok (a bit dry for my liking). They also had fish and shrimp ceviche ready to order and a variety of burritos and tacos made to order with choice of meats or option to mix from the dishes on display (ex. chile relleno burrito with asada, etc). There is no table service, you order at the front (similar to when you order Chinese) and they have a few booth style tables to enjoy your meal or take to go. The staff was friendly and helpful at helping to decide on which dishes to choose from. The restaurant is attached to the little bakery next door which has some great Mexican pastries, masa for tamales or tortillas, cheese and other sweets. They are also attached to the small Mexican market which is a separate business but are all accessible through the shared entrances. There is a single small restroom towards the back of the restaurant and shared parking lot.
