Ok. Coffee at Starbucks is always great. It's the customer service that is NOT good. You bring in your grande reusable cup. They encourage you to use those cups to be "sustainable". But what they do is they will use a grande cup to measure you coffee and then poor that coffee into your reusable mug but then THROW away the paper cup they just used to measure it! So..you are NOT saving any paper cups even if customers use a reusable cup. It drives me nuts when they do so as I use a reusable cup to go green and they are making it NOT green by throwing a paper cup away everytime a customet comes in with their reusable cup!! Americans area ooo wastefu but these Starbucks employees are the worst. They are so wasteful. read more

Most white girl thing I'm doing, but I'm lactose intolerant. When I order non dairy it is because I get food poisoning. During a rush I understand how u can accidentally mess up a drink, but when people are talking and don't actually read what they are making. This has to be the one of the most hit and miss Starbucks in the area. I live walking distance and it's a shame I have to drive to the Arcadia one because this location can't figure it out. They mess up about 20% of the time, and it's not the drink that's wrong is that they don't either don't put the right shots or the machines are not brewing the coffee properly. The end result is a flavored milky drink and I'm sorry for an $8 coffee, I better get my caffeine in there. When you question them about it they get upset! Came in today to get my iced white mocha and tasted like milk so I returned and explained what happened they remade it to make even milkier lol I even showed them and they told me that it was because it's a while mocha lol. It didn't look like it had any coffee. This happens once a week and the store is never consistent. If you want a good Starbucks go down to the downtown Arcadia one, they don't have a drive thru but their coffee is on point!!! read more

My review is solely based on my purchase of a kids hot chocolate with whipped cream through the drive thru. I specifically ordered that for my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter because the temperature of the drink is kid friendly and safe. I noticed the cup was a bit on the warmer side and thankfully out of habit I checked the temperature before giving her the drink and it was HOT. I had to put some ice cubes in it to cool it down and to top it off there was no whipped cream. Please be more aware that child safety is a priority. read more

Today, I've had it! Every frigin time I visit your new Starbucks store in Monrovia, CA at Madison & Foothill, I get nothing but bad attitude. I went there with my daughter and her drink was made wrong. I went back to the service window to ask them to remake it, and the manager on duty gave me attitude. I went to that store several different times a week, different hours and every single time, an employee had attitude. It's almost like going to a Starbucks in a DMV with the same crappy attitude employees. I will tell family & friends not to go to that particular store and to go to the Coffee Bean about a mile away. The usual Starbucks-minus the air conditioned, indoor facility you're usually accustomed to. Not necessarily bad but definitely makes this place less appealing. The area is tight, with limited parking and a small drive thru that it can make it tough to queue up for a drink. Actually, this can be quite a hinderance as it might even require you to drive all the way the down the street to wait in line for the drive thru due to the limited parking and poor drive thru design. Too much of an inconvenience that I can see some people actually driving off to another Starbucks. Otherwise, the service here is fine-not much quicker or slower than the average Starbucks location. But due to its setup I wouldn't recommend this location over another unless you can find a space for yourself or live within walking distance. read more

The drive-thru service is good. The walk-up leaves something to be desired. I was there today, a Saturday. A woman butted in front of me for a refill. She didn't have 50 cents. She went back to her car, came back and was asked about her Gold Card. She went back to her car. Window shut in my face several times without any acknowledgement. Went to get a drink today and use my points. The man asked me if I was wanted a straw and I didn't hear him so I asked if I could use my points. He then visibly angry asked again if I wanted a straw in a very rude tone. It took me back and I tried to continue being nice and said yes please. He then handed the drink aggressively and yelled that he used the points trying to rush me away. I don't usually have this experience at this store. They're usually super nice. Drive thru location! Starbucks is our go to place before our drive. So we came here on 12/06 and I got iced caramel macchiato as usual and my boyfriend got caramel Frappuccino. The barista asked him if he wanted whipped cream on his drink. I thought it usually come with it? Anyway he told her yes and the label on the drink says "add whip" but we didn't see any sign of whip on his drink!! This location is outdoors only and focuses on drive through. It's a great location to get some sun and enjoy the fresh air. Ordering and pickup are a bit confusing but you'll figure it out quickly with the side window stacking up with drinks. This is an interesting idea for California being so climate friendly. But don't come here expecting to study or hide from the harsher weather days. Service is excellent as usual. Order with confidence. read more

This is my neighborhood Starbucks, I stop by often. They are super fast and friendly, the drinks absolutely perfect and I've never had any complaints when coming here but today the Manager Priscilla went above and beyond any expectations. My absent minded husband locked his keys in his car while picking up an online order, cause he's so impatient and in a rush all the time but that's neither here nor there, Priscilla noticed him struggling to try to open it himself and was extremely gracious to offer her AAA service. In 15 minutes the tow truck was there and car was unlocked. Saving us $75 and lots of time as we had called another tow truck company and that's the quote we got. Being that I'm always in a rush when I'm on the clock, the service here is always quick! For mobile orders especially. Sometimes I send my order and within 5 minutes it's ready! I don't know why this Starbucks has so many poor reviews. The baristas here are always friendly, I've never had a bad experience. It's a drive thru only location, so it's going to take a little longer than a normal store, but it's worth the convenience. I never use the walk up window, but I've never waited more than 5 or so minutes in the drive thru. I've never had an issue with my drinks, they're always exactly how I like. They're one of the few places that actually understands what a "splash" of cream means. You can bet I'll be here again. read more

I go to Starbucks every morning at 6am on my way to work. I have had some time to get to know the regular employees and I look forward to every morning grabbing my coffee from this location. The three employees that stand out to me are LIZ, JESS & EMILY! They start my morning off on such a positive note and are such good saleswomen most of the time they sell me on breakfast too (reduced fat turkey bacon, the best) To see their upbeat attitudes and professional demeanor so early in the morning really starts my day off on the right note. These girls are amazing! Emily is such a hard worker! Liz and Jess are so polite to me. As others have stated this is a new Starbucks and I'm glad to have the option. I'm not much of a coffee drinker but I do enjoy a Frappe from time to time. The service in the drive through appears to be just a tad slow. I consider how the wait is in conventional location and it would appear it is similar but there is one problem. I can only guess that the service team (which I think is pretty darn friendly) starts drinks when they receive an order. The potential problem with this system is if, like me you order a frozen drink like a Frappe it may be somewhat runny by the time they get it to you. Perhaps some order ahead of mine is larger and the customer may have special requests which slows the entire process and subsequent wait by others in line. If I could offer a suggestion perhaps the staff could devise a system to gauge the wait (I know this may be difficult to do) so a frozen drink will have the appropriate consistency by the time it is handed off to the consumer. I'm so happy this Starbucks finally opened! I've been waiting for a drive through location for so long and this is definitely so close to home. I'm not sure how I feel about it being only outdoors and no indoors, especially since there was a lot of space to make an indoors. This is also right up the street from the high school and I'd think kids would want to come here to study. I'm leaving two stars because out of the 3 times I've been here already, 2 times they were out of what I wanted. They just opened I don't know how they can run out of something so quick, or not have extra stock. Also my last experience wasn't so great. I wanted to use my free drink and they said they would apply it but kept forgetting and I had to remind them. That wasn't an issue for me, but I ordered a drink with whipped cream and instead of giving me the dome lid with whipped cream, they jipped me on my drink, crammed some whipped cream in there and gave me a flat lid. I looked at them like are you kidding me right now? I've gone to other locations and never had this problem. The staff is friendly, but the people making the drinks need more training. read more

I don't know if I can review this since I only went twice (first time, it wasn't even on Yelp yet! So I had to 'put it on the Yelp map') when I was back home visiting. Both times, my service was pretty good (friendly staff!) and my orders were accurate both times. I have been to quite a few newly opened Starbucks so I was expecting the normal delay and confusion that usually comes with a grand opening but I didn't experience this here! Actually, service here was quicker than my normal drive-thru Starbucks where I currently live in Albuquerque. They have been open for about 6 months... However I did not go during a peak time so this could very well have something to do with it. I imagine it getting a little crazy in the morning! Things will be tough at first but I understand customer service and how this works. I wanted to say, I enjoyed my service here both times and when I am in the area again, I will drive the extra blocks past the Starbucks by Pavilions if I'm feeling a little lazy or still in my PJs, just so I don't have to get out of the car! read more
