Not all Starbucks locations were created equal, but this is my new home base Starbucks, and I'm quite happy. It's always clean, the staff is always super nice, and they make my beverages exactly the way I like, hot and strong! Sometimes if you come in later in the day they're outa some food stuffs, but I guess thems the breaks.. it's a well traffic-ed store to say the least :) Not that I usually stick around once my order's up, but they have free wifi if your internet is down, and it can be fun to sit and people watch since it's right at the corner of Redondo/7th, lots happening both with foot traffic AND cars to keep one entertained. read more

This is the Starbucks that is on my way to work, so I stop there a couple times a week. Although the staff has changed a little from when they first opened in 2006, they are just as friendly. I always get great service. Most of the time they remember my name and my morning beverage. The place is always clean and they move quickly to get you your fix quickly. They now have the hot breakfast stuff which I haven't tried yet, but it seems to be popular. Parking is easy in the back parking lot. One thing I do like about Starbucks is consistent taste of my beverages of choice no matter what location. But, I do mix it up a little too to keep supporting two other locally owned places as well. Leaving this review because how ridiculous the customers who come in are; rude, inconsiderate, and deliberately mean. Plenty of transients come in making an issue, and the staff is always super awesome about it all. I come in to grab a black iced coffee to do work almost daily and the younger guy with glasses and longish hair (L.J. I believe?) and the other slightly older guy with a beard who's incredibly talkative and engaging with people are two guys I enjoy seeing when I'm in. Hope management acknowledges how great their staff is, at least when I'm in during the afternoons. Good on you fellas! read more

Came in and was pleased to see only 3 people ahead of me with 4 baristas behind the bar (as we all know morning hours at Starbucks can be hectic for team members). Upon ordering my drink a rush of customers came in-I continue to wait for my drink as I begin to notice 7 drinks had been called out, all but mine. The friendly barista gentleman asked what drink I was waiting on and looked at the line of drinks noticing mine was never placed in the line. He had quietly asked (whom I'm assuming is team lead) if my drink has been started, and her response was "well just put it in line". (Mind you, this is 20 minutes of waiting and more than 10 drinks made for customers who arrived after myself). I'm a former Starbucks employee and know what it's like to work behind the bar and understand mistakes happen. But I also know I was trained that the most important part of our job was to maintain customer satisfaction. I know I'm not the queen of England and should be granted an apology but the lack of customer service along with a simple "I apologize for the wait" would have been better than making a half assed drink when you're tipped $5. read more

This place is great...They have very fast service.The place was really busy and even though they were crowded they were extremely nice and greeted each customer with a smile. It's a smaller place and people were bumping into each other. I will say the only downfall is there is a lot of products on display which causes a lot of clutter where its hard to walk around. After the remodel they changed the tables and no longer have the charging stations on the tables. It wouldn't be so bad if there were enough outlets to use to charge everyone's devices but there are few! I work from my iPad at times and need to charge my stuff to be able to work... I guess I will have to find a different place to work. Sucks! read more

Parking is super tight and there aren't many tables and chairs to sit in. Very friendly service though. It's usually busy pretty much at all times of the day so it's a good idea to mobile order your drink/food and just pick up when you arrive. It makes the process so much more faster! read more

This Starbucks has very few employees that are nice and I wish I could remember their names!! But Chet is the WORST!! She is rude every single time I come in, she makes my coffee wrong and Acts like it's my fault!! Today they forgot my other drink and when I finally spoke up (20 min later) you would of thought I asked her to run an iron man... seriously!! So this isn't my usual stomping grounds but alexis b. has a personal trainer a few blocks down so when we want to kill time and wait we come here! This part of LB is a CF so you best know how to drive & have patience! I hate how tight the parking is but my mommy is a pro at parellel parking so its a breeze ! The staff here is always really friendly! The wait can be a bit much during their peak hours but they always have a good attitude. I wish I could give this place a 4-5 stars since it's my neighborhood Starbucks. The people are friendly enough; however, I guess they must be like franchise owned? I tried to redeem a free drink and they told me I needed a bar code. My coupon had a coupon code they could have just entered into their computer but they didn't. My mom used the same coupon (code number only no bar code) and it worked for her. I think that's just lame. They make enough money and have young enough baristas that punching in a three number code shouldn't be a problem. I did not buy any coffee here. What's up with the woman/man who plants their self (?) at the counter facing Redondo all day wearing shades with pictures of Taylor Swift or other pop music acts set up all around him/her whilst watching videos on a laptop of said pop music peeps? If u don't mind the tiny, usually filled-to-capacity parking lot, the countless apparently homeless, dual-diagnosis (probably) junkies who camp out and occupy half the outdoor/indoor seating, the aforementioned milling around waiting for a hand out from patrons and/or employees then this place is ur cup of tea...ha ha...see? see what i did there? I have to say that this Starbucks is amazing. The drinks are the same as any other Starbucks but the entire staff there is amazing. They do their best to remember your order despite seeing several orders a day, and possibly switching it up on them for fun. They can take well intended shade and keep on with their day. They, unknowingly spent the past several months changing my opinion of this particular location for which I deleted the negative review that I had made. They definitely do care about their customers and is the only reason I make it a point to get my daily coffee, tea or pastry needs from them. read more

I called and spoke to Chris and asked if there was any way to get that cup. He was very kind and let me know he would try to put one to the side for me. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!! I'm not sure if EVERY employee there this am was new or what, but the competence in their jobs was lacking. I'd like to say I had a pretty simple order - I work at another location, I've seen it all - but apparently not simple enough of an order for the girl at the register. I had my personal cup and asked for a Tall Americano on ice. Had to remind her three times to write iced in the drink order slip. Next, a classic oatmeal, with steamed non-fat milk. She actually said, I'm not kidding here, "what is that?" oh boy.....she gives me oatmeal with water and I hand it back to get steamed milk. Now off to the bar I go. I am watching the man, and he is SEVERELY under pouring drinks. Almost 1" below the top of EACH cup, some even more! I want to tell customers to request a full cup, as they are essentially getting a size down! I watch him make 2 cappuccinos and there is no foam and an inch below the top too (no, it wasn't no foam or wet, just improperly made). The next drink up is an iced caramel macchiato and it is awfully too light. I look at the espresso beans in the machine and low and behold, there aren't enough beans and the espresso is watery. Finally my drink, it is made hot. Are you kidding me, and rather than put ice in it, he dumps it. Fine, I wasn't in a hurry. He begins making other drinks and my shots sit for over a minute, they are dead. Still served them, and EXTREMELY watery drink. Now my oatmeal. If you didn't know, there is a notch in the cup to show where to fill the liquid too, around half way up. This was completely disregarded and was filled to the top with lukewarm milk from the drink before. Ugh watery oatmeal. read more

I've been to this Starbucks a handful of times... as much as I don't like their coffee, and don't really drink their espresso drinks, I somehow find myself at Starbucks semi-frequently. As I prefer other shops, I think the best I could give any Starbucks at this point is 4 stars... gotta have love for the mom 'n pop caffeine providers! Unfortunately, when I went into this Starbucks (much like my experience at the Starbucks on 2nd Street), there was a horrendous line. I'm talking almost out the back door! Now it was midmorning (maybe 9 or 10am) on a weekend, so a line might be expected. But if a line *is* expected, then so would be an adequate number of workers--the latter was lacking. So, we waited, got our order, and left. Not a bad experience, per se, but not fabulous. I will probably be back. read more

You get what you expect from starbucks. Consistent coffee and treats. STandard hours and similar amenities. This being the closest to home fortunately also has an outside patio and most of all friendly and efficient employees. The parking kind of sucks here because it is a tiny and shared lot but that is the only real drawback to this place. It makes for a good walk to spot. read more

I visited this Starbucks this morning around 8AM, and ordered via Mobile Order & Pay. As a 12 year employee, I am always observant of other locations, and I was very pleased with the staff of this store! The woman on bar was very friendly to every customer and worked at a fast and steady pace while taking opportunities to coach and observe the other partners working with her. I was also inspired by their community board which had polaroids of the employees with their favorite drinks written on the photo- I felt this added a personal touch to the store's atmosphere. I received my order within the five minute time frame suggested by the app, and the two drinks I ordered were perfect. I ordered a blonde roast with white mocha and cream, which came out perfect (taste and temperature) and my sister-in-law's iced caramel macchiato came out to standard and tasty. Thank you to the staff and manager of this location for making my visit easy and worth the money! It's nice to visit great locations while on vacation! I am also jealous of the digital menu boards that my store does not have read more
