This isn't the first time they've gotten my order wrong. I think they keep hiring new people which I guess I can give some grace to, but honestly I'm disappointed. I ordered a matcha today and it had so much milk i could barely even taste the matcha in it.. either they don't put enough syrup in it or there's too much milk or something. Unless the person thats making my drink is someone that has worked there a while, the drinks are never that good. It shouldn't be this hard to make a drink, I mean I wouldn't know, but sometimes theres just clumps of dried matcha powder all over like they didn't even bother to mix it all the way. Starbucks serve very specific reasons. Sometimes I have a drink in mind, sometimes I want a familiar and recognizable place to kill some time and use the Wi-Fi, sometimes I just want the spinach, feta, egg wrap. This location is of what I consider to be the neighborhood layout, with a larger seating area but no drive-thru. In fact, parking can be challenging at times, so much so that the lot in the same plaza has signs that specifically say "No Starbucks Parking". Be careful of parking tickets; they really mean it. (Reported in local neighborhood FB group) For this visit, we happened to be in the neighborhood. Bought some items at the PCC across the street, got back in the car, and placed the Starbucks order online. To our surprise, the quoted time was 23 to 25 min. Wow, that's long. Well, I guess we'll kill some time at Met Market at the same plaza as Starbucks. After shopping the Met Market for 20 min, we went to Starbucks to pick up our drinks. Immediately, we regretted not going sooner to wait for our drinks instead. It's pretty obvious our Frappuccinos are quite melted. Ding it. When the mocha frap and the peppermint mocha frap have layers, it's melted. I guess I can't blame them for under-promising and over-delivering, even though it's to my detriment this time. I won't rate the quality of the drinks since it really is a separated drink by then. Ample parking behind the Starbucks, not a very big interior, but the staff are friendly and the drinks are decent and accurate.

I suppose that escaping the rain is so common in the Seattle area that umbrella stands should be provided at the entrance to every establishment. Here you can just leave your umbrella by the door and remember to pick it up on the way out. This is a good-sized Starbucks situated on the corner of a busy intersection. As you exit the parking lot, make sure you follow the traffic directions. There is no drive-through here so, if you are in a hurry, mobile order and park in the spaces reserved for pickup. You will be on your way lickety-split. The inside has a good selection of seats and tables, so you can stay awhile and get some work done or just enjoy your coffee in peace and quiet. My review here is STRICTLY for the small decaf i ordered. Essentially, my coffee came out mild (almost at the brink of being lukewarm). Quite possibly one of the most soulless Starbucks I've been to. Weird setup, in that you have to navigate so many randomly placed tables and chairs to get in line to order, and once you have your drink the tables and bench seating around the perimeter is designed to be so uncomfortable that you leave as soon as possible. Tried sitting outside but with the super loud speaker overhead and the extremely noisy traffic, decided to leave and head elsewhere. Won't be returning, there are much nicer Starbucks elsewhere. read more

We were trying to avoid SBUX on principle and there are other coffee places nearby, but this was the first place we found while driving around the area that 1. wasn't a drive-thru and 2. had easy, free parking. Rude, rude, rude! I've visited this Starbucks on a couple of occasions, but this last one is it for a while. The very poorly trained, but sweet, cashier indicated the wrong number of shots in my drink and when I politely asked the barista if she had put in the right amount she snapped at me and said "I know how that drink is made. He put the wrong number." I felt bad enough for the cashier who clearly wasn't comfortable asking anyone for help, but now he has this rude co-worker throwing him under the bus. I let it go until the barista slammed down my drink in front of me with no apologies for having made it incorrectly despite whose fault it was. I wasn't even upset at first, but I decided her attitude needed some adjusting and I told her so. Starbucks clearly needs to work on their customer service training or fire the hiring managers who seem to think that everyone can be trained to be nicer. Sorry, but that's just not the case. This is a great, little fully updated Starbucks with all the usual amenities you would hope for. As is often the case, it is busy, but for those who need a few minutes to plug in and work while imbibing there are outlets under the seats around the window walls, and a table with plugs and USB outlets (OK, you have to look underneath for them. They're kind of hidden) in the middle. Everything is clean and modern, and everything is nice, including the drinks that I've ordered here. read more

What a disaster this morning. Two cashiers and one barista = long wait for coffee. But that's okay, this is one of the more decent locations around here. Well, not today. Harried barista is pouring scalding hot milk in a flat white (hotter than the extra hot I ordered yesterday) and when I brought it to her attention she made no offer to remake it. That's awesome. So I asked for a refund. Again, no apology for the tongue burning. The only good thing is there are dozens of these around. Bridle Trails and downtown Kirkland locations come to mind. Or better yet, I'll stick to my Nespresso. 3 stars for not being terrible before. But nothing higher for being inconsistent. And maybe next time they'll work on improving their coffee making over the speed at which they take your orders. read more

I am through with this Starbucks. They remodeled a few months back, and since reopening, they have been just awful. Decaf drinks are made with full caffeine, specialty drinks are missing ingredients, and the last straw came today when my protein box had two rotten apple slices. The rot was clearly visible from the outside of the box and the sell by date was two days ago. I'm a huge Starbucks fan, and this location is the most convenient, but convenience is not worth putting up with awful products and service. What baffles me about this location is that it's in a wealthy area on the Eastside, yet the bathroom always has the pungent urine smell of a public restroom in downtown. I wish they'd fix that smell! I have been going to this location for several years and like many reviewers I agree about the parking in that it can get a little tight when busy and the shopping plaza next door recently posted signs of no SB parking. I don't go to this location for the coffee only. I go for the wonderful service and friendly smiles and conversations. The best I have seen from any SB location. My big thank you is to Roy. Thank you for always making me feel welcomed. I notice you take special care of all the customers you serve and take ownership of your mistakes and take steps to correct them (just from what I have observed). Thank you Roy, you are aweseom!
