The last time I went to this location, the drink was mostly ice. Luckily, I checked before leaving- it was heavy. I asked them if I could get another with less ice. The barista didn't seem too happy about that request. Today, I placed a couple of orders, being sure to request less ice in my order. The order was ready and the barista was very friendly. However, even if there was less ice, the drink was watered down. I confirmed with my hubby who agreed that his drink was not as tasteful as normal. Will definitely be back! First off, let me say that I am not a Starbucks fan because the consistency is not always there. However, I was next door at the Residence Inn and needed a cup of coffee before I started my day. I walked in and despite the fire alarm going off, the staff greeted me with a smile and a sense of humor regarding the situation (someone had accidentally pulled the alarm). I felt like I was being welcomed into someone's home. Store is very clean and staff was cheery, professional and friendly. The drink? The quality of my Starbucks drinks has been going downhill. What happened to the baristas carefully measuring the ingredients? My usual drinks (caramel macchiato and the caramel Frappuccino) just don't taste the same anymore. I understand that each barista has their own style, but if they made a menu drink and tasted it themselves, maybe they'd notice the difference. It feels like they're cutting corners. read more

It's like an oasis in Kapolei... For this townie I didn't expect to find a Starbucks especially in the Kapolei area and needing to find a restroom as well felt it was a win win situation didn't quite work out as it was out of order...sigh! This beautiful much more modern style building shares the lot area with Hele gas station and 7-Eleven and does have a drive thru along with a modest amount of seating inside and see that many do take advantage to chill for whatever reasons inside. The service counter is quite long and spacious which I'm sure handles a constant decent flow of orders. The staff here is very sweet and friendly and would've stayed to enjoy this vibe bud had to find a restroom unfortunately and just got my Summer Berry Refresher drink but will definitely be back whenever I'm in the area. It's fine--but for those who struggle with concentration, I don't recommend coming here if you're wanting a place where you can better focus; the volume of the speaker is always really loud (even with noise-cancelling headphones on) plus the equipments' noise can be really bothersome. I still come here to study, though this is my very-last resort if I really need to focus on finishing assignments. Also, I looked it up: Starbucks has a rule that disallows animals to remain inside the eatery. I notice that this location is really lax regarding this rule and doesn't enforce it, to my honest annoyance. Tonight, a diner ate and studied inside with an adult pitbull and though he was leashed, he would jump on neighboring diners minding their own business and howl for his owner's attention. I like this location because it's away from traffic (kind of) and an easy in and out. Well let me tell it was a good stop. I ordered the refreshing drink with strawberries because it was sooo good in Kona. It was hubbys first time so we ordered one without lemonade and we asked to hold the ice. I actually ordered the wrong one -should have been the pink drink because it was missing the coconut milk. The lady at the door (shakes the cup) said "oh you wanted light ice?" Looked at the cup "oh it says light ice" I grabbed the cup and knew immediately the ice was all the way in the bottom of the cup. I enjoy going to this Starbucks. The baristas are usually friendly and most of the time it is quick. The location is in an odd spot especially when it's poppin' in the morning. You'll surely be in a crunch with the drive thru long line out in the street and blocking the cars in parking stalls too. Not to mention people exiting the drive thru don't always read the sign that says no right turn which they still do...so it can be a bit of a jam. I suggest coming at a later time, but if you can't..power to ya! My favorite drink is an iced americano but I have yet to try a burnt free tasting one from here so the usual is just a regular iced coffee. Every time I order an americano, the shots are always burnt. Don't leave them too long...it'll turn too dark and shucks..no good. Today I ordered mango dragonfruit refreshers, the best non coffee beverage from here in my opinion! A caramel Frappuccino which was perfectly made, check out that whip and caramel drizzle game, right on! And some sweet treats on the side. I ordered a coffee cake, but upon receiving it..I was disappointed it was all crumbly and broken into pieces. I love this Starbucks location. I have been coming here for awhile and my orders are always correct. Very clean and with lots of room. This Starbucks was great during the pandemic because it's so roomy. I really felt they took everyone's health seriously and I felt comfortable going into pickup my orders. All of the Baristas are very friendly and work well together. This is a very busy location and there are many Baristas working all the time. I have watched them while waiting for my order and I was impressed at how well they work around each other....literally. Everyone has their duty and they just glide with ease around each other to get the orders out quickly. My orders always come out delicious and correct. I have been to many Starbucks and my drink don't always come out correct, but I have never been disappointed at this Starbucks. The only downside to this Starbucks is how busy their drive thru is. Sometimes the line is coming out to the main road, but I think it's because everyone in Kapolei and Ewa knows that they make delicious drinks I decided to write this review today because several times now I had the pleasure of meeting Ava.... She is the Barista at the drive thru. She is so charming and personable. I have never met a person with such outstanding customer service skills. Bottom line up front, my trenta strawberry acai lemonade refresher took 20 minutes to get it ready. And by the way, I also ordered a ham and cheese sandwich warmed, but it was already cold by the time my drink was done. It was one Sunday afternoon, per usual routine, when I stepped out to get my afternoon drinks and chose to go to Starbucks in Kapolei Pkwy instead of my usual Kamokila. Place my order via the SB app thinking by the time I get there, my order would be ready. I was wrong. It was an in-store pickup so I waited in the lobby, and waited, and waited. I see people coming in placing their orders in person and out. I have seen multiple cutomers came in and out. It made me asked myself, why did I order mine via the app if showing up in person is way way faster. But also perhaps the number one question was, did my refresher really took 20 minutes to prep, but why? I asked one of the staff about my order, and I was told unapologetically that my order was in line and also was told they were busy as the drive thru line was nonstop, which is not a very good excuse. Overall experience on that day 24DEC, was chaotic, the restroom was dirty. There were at least two homeless hanging inside the store. The tables needed cleaning. Trash were everywhere. The staff were not a great team. They dont communicate. They highly misprioritize orders. I suggest everyone to go over some deep re-training and add some hospitality and customer service courses. Visited late morning, 14 July 2021 Brown water from the gods (or the baristas, whichever you prefer) I go to this Starbeezy location whenever the one nearest me looks too busy and I'm nearby. This location usually has a long looking line but it goes by fairly quickly. Plus, if I do not want to wait in line, I can always go inside. It shares a parking lot with a gas station and 2 other businesses so it can get a bit tricky to park. Inside, the store is much larger than most Starbeezy locations in the vicinity. The counter is a bigger L shape so customers can tell the difference between the order counter and the pick up counter. I personally have never seen inside crowded (granted, I've only gone during "covid times"), but there is ample space for in store sipping. There is a wider selection of merchandise and they sometimes have items I don't see in my nearer location. The facility is always clean and the baristas are always friendly. Thought I'd run in and get an iced coffee before my manicure. They seem to cater to the drive in customers more, it took awhile to get my coffee despite it being deserted inside. They still don't let anybody sit indoors due to covid. It was very noisy inside though because the workers were yelling alot at each other so I could barely hear the cashier when placing my order. My iced coffee was really pale and weak, could hardly taste any coffee. I never had this so weak before from Starbucks. Usually it's pretty strong and dark. I wish I could add my own milk but nowadays they have to so it for you. Also seems like a lot of ice. I got ripped off $3.93 for weak iced coffee. At least I used a gift card so not my money wasted! YAY! a new Starbucks in Kapolei with a drive thru! This place has all the yummy baked goods and caffeine drinks you expect from all the other Starbucks. If you have never visited a Starbucks: This place has coffee, tea and blended drinks. You can order in store, online or on their app. Sugarfree syrups are available. I love Starbucks because you can customize the drink the way you want it. Go on with your bad self and get that Caramel Frapp with 3 pumps toffeenut and 3 pumps caramel drizzled with some pretty walls and whipped cream. (That is a butterbeer frapp in case you don't know) The one big difference I love about this location is the seating area. It is so big and open! There is a LOT more room to find a cozy little area to relax, hop on to your laptop, and enjoy your favorite Starbucks beverage. I visited the drive thru and ordered inside. The staff are really friendly, just like all the other locations. There is a lot of parking. Gone are the days of worrying the dialysis center will tow you! (the other Kapolei Starbucks had limited parking and constantly towed people. Those savages.) If you live in the Kapolei area and wished for a Starbucks that was closer to the cross section leading to H1 or Kualakai Parkways, your wish has been granted! It is at a great location and it is right next to a 7 eleven and a Hele gas station! whoo hoo! I have not had any trouble with orders and they have been quick making drinks too. This is probably one of the newest Starbucks locations in the area. We went for the first time for the pop up event. You got a free tall espresso drink between 1 & 2pm. It was super busy but not overwhelmingly so. Service was quick considering the number of people waiting. What stood out to me was how festive everyone was and how happy all the staff was. I don't know where to start with this Starbucks. I truly dislike this location. Unfortunately, on days when I can't make it to my usual Starbucks, I am left with no other option but to visit this one because it's close to my daughter's school. As you can see in the picture, the presentation alone is not how I like to start my day. It has jam-packed whipped cream and less coffee. There's always this lady at the drive-thru taking orders, and the amount of times she's messed up my order, oh my gosh! It's way too early to start your day off like that. Also, if I do order ahead and choose the drive-thru option, there's always an attitude. It's like I asked her to stand there and manually take orders. Only to pull up to the window when you do order through her and get the WRONG THING! Then you have to wait to get the correct order. I would avoid this Starbucks as much as I can. I'm starting to wonder if there will be a sequel to Love in the Time of Cholera entitled (TBD) in the Time of Corona. For me, my love during this time of Corona has been this Starbucks drive-thru. When construction began, I remember thinking to myself how dangerous for my wallet it was to have a Starbucks a stone's throw away from home. Despite these concerns for my finances, when all Starbucks but those with drive-thrus ceased operations, this place became a godsend on mornings I didn't make coffee or made coffee not even good enough to serve to inmates. The staff here are phenomenal. Even from the comfort of my car, I can see the genuine positive interactions between the staff and customers. One morning I was feeling particularly meh and the barista at the window was so kind she completely changed my outlook on the day. I usually come here early in the morning, so the line isn't too crazy, but even on days where the line exceeds the small parking lot onto the side street, staff is quick with good order accuracy. After reading some really positive things Starbucks is doing for its staff during this crazy time, I at least feel a little less guilty about my quite expensive vice. read more

The employees are still getting used to making drinks and it might take a little longer than usual. She was very rushy, after everything I said, she'd aggressively say "is that all" and she was so rude. I ordered two venti iced coffees (which she wouldn't even let me finish customizing without cutting me off), then I got two everything bagels with butter , I was once again cut off. Then I had ordered two orders of egg white bites with siracha . She then was very rude and sent us on our way to the window. Got to the window and recieved the bagel and one bag of egg white bites. I told the guy at the window "I got two egg white bites" and he was like "I only see one on the screen" he then kindly offered to add it on which I was cool with. Then the female who took my order walked in and I overheard the male at the window say I ordered two egg whites. I then heard her aggressively tell the other staff members "no she didn't." To me, this is very very rude and uncalled for. So we finally receive our order and get home to eat, there was only one butter, no siracha, and our coffees were mostly ice and dark (we ordered oat milk in it) and it was a lot darker than usual. Super fast service and friendly faces! They always have a good amount of baked goods to choose from, I always get a butter croissant toasted with a little butter on the side and an iced coffee (this changes every visit) This location is new so it is super clean and well presented with tables to do homework or catch up with friends. The drive thru usually never has a long line during the day, but during morning rush is a nightmare to get through. The staff are very friendly even after they have a big rush and deserve a lot more praise for their craft. I could not remember how to make that many drinks to save my life LOL! I do not enjoy leaving negative reviews at all. If you look at my history the majority of my reviews are positive, happy ones. Today's experience at this Starbucks location was uniquely uncomfortable however, and I feel sharing it could be helpful. I parked my car outside the store, ordered my drink (Vanilla Sweet Cream Nitro Cold Brew) using Mobile Order, and walked right in to pick it up in person. On the front doors I saw a handwritten sign saying orders may take longer than usual due to one of the espresso machines being down. Not a big deal...stuff happens sometimes. I just walked in, peeked at the pickup counter and saw a couple other drinks but not mine, and then spent some time looking at the merchandise near the front counter, and then I sat down in a chair right near the front counter to wait patiently to either hear my name called or see my drink on the pick up counter. I can be content on my phone just like anybody can, but after a while I started to wonder... I checked the time my order was expected to be ready on the app and it said 4:11 PM, but the current time was 4:29 PM. I realize their drive-through line might have a line of cars outside, but inside the store it was very calm. There was hardly anyone that it came in to order in person at the register during the whole time I was sitting there, and there were no more drinks awaiting pickup on the pick up counter. The vibe amongst the customers sitting inside was pretty mellow, and there were a couple of empty tables. It didn't seem like the staff was too busy to make my one cold brew drink. It seemed more like they completely forgot. At this point I had been sitting there in the store for 20 minutes completely quiet not bothering anyone, but actively looking up every now and then to see if my drink was ready, but since this much time has passed, I realized I needed to go up and say something. When I told the cashier my situation, and what kind of drink I was waiting for she walked over towards the pick up counter, picked up an empty cup with a label on it, sitting there, and told me that was for my drink, and told me that their way of doing things was to NOT make the cold brew drinks until people got there and asked for them in person. I've been a Starbucks customer for longer than I care to admit, and I've been a Starbucks mobile app user from almost the very beginning. I understand how the mobile app and in-store pickup works, and I have never had baristas at any other location tell me that they don't make the cold brew mobile order drinks until someone walks in and walks up to ask for them. I have mobile-ordered cold brews maybe 40 separate times and they have always been ready for me to pickup without me needing to ask for it to be made in person. That's a big part of the beauty of using the app and placing a mobile order... Is that if you don't feel like talking in person that day you don't have to. You can just pay and then walk in to pick it up. No apology was offered when I finally had to ask for my drink in person. No acknowledgment that I had waited over 20 minutes at this point... After my drink was finally poured and given to me I didn't complain in person. I just took my drink and quietly left, feeling completely awkward, and totally disregarded. So yes, needless to say this is my first time doing an in-store pick up at this location and I will definitely NOT be back. 0/10 Do NOT recommend. Also, this is why I don't tip in advance. I am a very fair tipper and I prefer to tip in person mostly so that I can make the tip fit the service that day. read more

Ava, Ava, Ava. This girl knows not good customer service but GREAT Customer service. Imagine going through a drive through and hearing EVERY SINGLE CAR LAUGHING. Ava had an absolutely brilliant accent that brought laughter and smiles to every customer looking to make a coffee order. What a small thing that literally made a van with a family in front of me laugh so hard that their children was asking not to leave the line. As a drove away with my order, I could hear more customers laughing and having a great time.
