This store on the way to work, but not necessarily the most reliable place. I can often count on friendly faces, and typical Starbucks-quality food and drinks. BUT. This store has a unique way of preparing their food that I've not witnessed in other stores. They seem to prep food, then keep it by the toasters/ warmers, etc. until they have several to put on the pick-up counter. I don't get why, but while they do this, food gets yucky, and people run late. I'll be ditching Starbucks for a while as this "stock-pile" food prep method has caused me to be late too many times. (No. I didn't ask for my money back or a free item because it's not about that. It's about using customer-service strategies that serve the customer well.)

It is an easy place to enjoy whether I am working for a while or meeting friends to hang out, and that flexibility is a big part of the appeal. Carmel is better for having spots like this.
