Java House is great! I usually order a cold brew, but decided I wanted something a little sweet. It seems like protein is trending in coffee places, so decided to give it a try. I ordered Hazelnut Chocolate Protein Coffee. Typically, I drink black coffee, so it was a little too sweet for me but I forgot to ask for half the sweetener! It was good and curbed my hunger a bit. There is an outdoor patio with umbrella covered tables if you want to drink your coffee outside. The shop inside is upscale with industrial modern decor. The morning sun comes through the windows, welcoming the day. The menu is not complicated. There are breakfast and pastry options, hot and cold beverages. I ordered a latte and bagel breakfast sandwich. There are four baristas working both the drive thru and in house bar. Service is fast, friendly and efficient. My latte is frothy, hot and good. The bacon, egg bagel is topped with melted cheese and delicious caramelized onions. The bagel is fresh and melts in my mouth. The dining area is inviting, comfortable and pristine. There are a couple of comfy chairs and several patrons are working on their laptops. There is adequate parking in the strip mall lot, but it's probably limited on a busy weekend. Java house is one of those quick serve style coffee places that use concentrate for everything including their coffee . While they do this the drinks are not bad . Employees are friendly , place is extremely clean and the decor at the one I went to in Zionsville ,IN was that of a wine bar . Really a cool decor very wide . The early part of the day the sun is super bright thru the 15' high wall of glass that surrounds two sides of the building . Although they were out of their cold foam mix for my iced drink they used half and half after asking if it was ok . I think my iced drink was still pretty decent enough I will be back in a few hours . This is by far some of the best coffee I have ever tasted. I had a very long traveling day in Indiana and when I stopped for a much needed coffee pick-me-up, Java House did not disappoint! Z was the most kind person I've had the pleasure of talking with!!! He made suggestions and talked and laughed with me about my long day. I love Java House. I'm so glad to see more of them popping up around Indy and even in West Lafayette! Their coffee is amazing and although I like a specialty drink, I often just end up getting their Columbian, hot. It's so flavorful and not too bitter than I can almost drink it without adding anything to it (I typically like my coffee to be saturated with cream and sugar haha). I almost always get their sausage sandwich because it's delicious!! Service is typically pretty good although I have had a couple of experiences with new employees that obviously didn't know what was going on. I love the look and feel of the space, it's very welcoming and there's lots of indoor and outdoor seating. The Java House is easy to find and sits on Michigan Road. Parking surrounds the building, and you'll find parking quickly. They are the only Java House location with a drive-through, so take advantage of that. The interior decor is a mixture of wood, bricks, and metals with a large, gorgeous wooden counter/bar top. The store has an ample amount of natural lighting. The common table seats 8 with a mixture of 5 counter chairs and metal and wooden top tables and chairs. The chairs are not comfortable for long periods of seating if you're working on a laptop. I'm becoming more of a fan of cold coffee brews than I was in the past. Today, I ordered the Neapolitan, which is a vanilla latte drizzled with chocolate and topped with strawberry foam. It was rich and refreshing on a hot day. This is one of the new summer drinks they are serving. I didn't pace myself, and I drank it very quickly. There are 4 types of coffee roasts and 3 types of teas. Check out the 8 signature drinks before you order. They look delicious and I will order one during my next visit. The menu has a variety of sandwiches and snacks for a meal or snack. The egg white sandwich sounds perfect for me with spinach, red peppers, and feta on ciabatta bread. When I return, this will be the next sandwich I'll order with my signature coffee. They offer several flavors of cold brews and tea for sale in their gift area. I'm considering purchasing one or two and trying at home. Along with the several flavors of coffee, they carry copper mugs, cork mugs, Growlers (64 oz.), and other items. Java House also serves their coffee in flights and the Growlers they sell. The barristers were friendly, and the young lady who helped me was extremely helpful and explained all three of the new summer drinks. The service was quick, and the drink was tidy. The cake ball was fresh, moist, and had a good flavor. I enjoyed my time hanging out working on my tablet. I do wish the chairs were more comfortable, but they are what they are. I would have sat outside on the patio, but the high temperature made that impossible for me. Hopefully, next time. The water tasted better than the drink to me. I assumed that she would've asked me if I wanted something different, but she didn't. No worries. A waste of $6. Besides me not liking the drink. I was greeted when I walked in. The coffee shop was vibey. The restroom was clean. A worker even wiped down the tables and swept while I was there working. My friend and I met up here yesterday because the Zionsville location is perfectly situated as the midpoint between both of our homes. So because of sheer location alone, I'll be back. But beyond convenience, I really liked this coffee shop. The inside is HUGE so it was a great place to sit with a friend and catch up. I feel like the space would also be very conducive to studying and working as well. It felt urban and trendy. The atmosphere was super positive. I also loved their drink choices. They had a million different milk options and flavors to add to lattes. I ended up staying safe with the 2% milk (but I'll be back to try the macadamia milk!) but I did add a salted Carmel flavor to my latte, and it was delicious. They have a lot of teas on tap as well which was fun. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was that my latte was a bit flat - it didn't seem aerated enough. There are usually always people meeting up with friends or family at this location but I have yet to struggle finding a spot to study - however, I would still recommend coming early on the weekends when it's most packed. That being said if you prefer a more quiet study environment I would recommend a library instead, but this location provides a perfect noise level for me to get into my studying groove with minimal distraction! Furthermore, the staff is always kind and helpful in answering any questions I have about drink options which is important for me as I'm usually looking for less sweet options!
