Java House never fails me! I have been to this Java House location multiple times as well as a few others around Indy and I always get my best studying done at these! There are usually always people meeting up with friends or family at this location but I have yet to struggle finding a spot to study - however, I would still recommend coming early on the weekends when it's most packed. That being said if you prefer a more quiet study environment I would recommend a library instead, but this location provides a perfect noise level for me to get into my studying groove with minimal distraction! Furthermore, the staff is always kind and helpful in answering any questions I have about drink options which is important for me as I'm usually looking for less sweet options! I typically get a cup of coffee when I come here to study but today I switched it up and got the new Summer Sipper drink. It's made with a hibiscus tea, some strawberry flavoring, and freeze dried strawberries - a perfect refreshing drink as it is tart with a hint of sweetness!! I'm going to have to go with the prior review that the coffee is not good. I had an Americano and as the other reviewer wrote wont' even finish the $5 of bitterness that it is. If a coffee shop needs tons of sugar to be able to sell their coffee then the coffee isn't good. Service also a one star, waited a very long time for anyone even to surface from kitchen area where the two girls were chatting. Pro tip, put a bell on your door so they know when customers enter or make sure staff stays where they can greet customers. First impressions matter and that wasn't a good one. read more

I stopped by on a Thursday morning around 8:30AM and there was one other car in the drive-thru. I ordered quickly but waited a while for the car in front of me and then for my order. The woman working apologized for the wait. I ordered a Honey Baby with almond milk and no whip. I believe they put whip on every speciality latte so make sure you ask for it without if that's not your thing. The balance of honey and cinnamon was perfect on a crisp Fall morning. I've stopped Starbucks , absolutely addicted the Ethiopian coffee and Lattes. If you eat muffin , egg, sausage sandwich they have in my opinion, the best breakfast sandwich , fresh and tastes like an egg and sausage with flavor, the muffin is soft not hard to chew! Totally WOWED us we have been three days in a row now and the customer service is the best we have encountered at a coffee shop. This morning they gave us testers of a new baked good (lemon raspberry tart) the best lemon dessert we have had in a long time, and a tester of a new drink. Convenient location but a different vibe than the other Java Houses that I've been to in that it seems more of a take out/drive through type of place. They have been opened for about a month already and still do not have Wi-Fi--which could contribute to the few people inside. There are some breakfast items on the menu that are not available. The coffee was good, but I didn't try any of the signature drinks on tap. Seems like a "wait and see" type of situation here at this new Java House. Sure, they recently opened but found it weird that none of the baristas knew how to prepare a flight of cold brew as it wasn't on their ordering tablet yet. That's fine, we ordered something else but boy the prices are pretty steep! You really have to like cold brew to come here often. read more

My friends and I come here once in a while to sit and knit. The staff is always so friendly and willing to answer any questions that we have. Each time I am in, they have specialty drinks along with the regular drink menu. They have a high top table and regular tables. The large windows give so much natural light. I have not tried the food or pastries, but they look delicious. It has a local feel versus it feeling like a huge chain coffee shop. read more

Just went to this coffee shop for the first time ever because I wanted to try it. I went through the drive thru because I have a baby in my back seat and I ordered my drink and asked if it had milk in it and the girl that was taking my order started laughing like she was making fun of my question and said duh it's like 75% milk. Oh Java House. Your coffee is fantastic. Never been inside this location, but the drive through is always super fast and accurate. Why the three stars? Because after I pay the console is always shoved back in my face with the person stating "it's going to ask you a few questions". Well it's one question and it's what is my tip you're going to add to this order? I'll just sit here and wait and watch before I leave to go make your order. Completely inappropriate. I'm in a drive thru. You are literally getting paid to make my order and not serving me. Not even bringing my coffee to my table. Yet, I live in fear if I don't tip what will you do to my order if I don't tip? How well will my drink be made or the care made in the process. Tips are asked for AFTER a service is provided for, not before. All for all the people coming back to say well you can press no tip- sure. Yes I can. However I have worked in many restaurants in my long lifetime and I'm not willing for the possible consequences of not giving a tip before the drink is made. My review in a nutshell- look at the menu, add 15% to the cost before you drive up. That's all I gotta say. And yeah, I'll be back. Still gonna give 3 stars though because of it. read more

I pulled in around 10:00 a.m. on a Saturday, to an empty drive thru line. I ordered a large vanilla latte with an extra shot of espresso. Not sure if the inside of the store was loud or the speaker was having issues, but I had to repeat my order three times before the barista got it right. When I pulled up the window, the total came to $8 +change. The drink was fine, but nothing special. I could have gotten the same drink for cheaper at any of the three Starbucks within a mile of Java House. read more

The Zionsville location is close to my house so I've been through the drive-through three times now since it's on my way to work. I like their bacon and egg breakfast sandwich with the caramelized onions on a bagel. I'm confused by their iced tea prices-a 16oz iced tea is $5?! It's already brewed and ready to go! And it's not fancy or anything-just plain black iced tea. I can get a MUCH larger size that is shaken fresh with different flavors for less money right down the street at the larger chain that starts with a S. So not a fan of that because I drink way more iced tea than coffee and iced tea is VERY cheap to make. Tried one of their signature lattes and it was a bit sweet for me. I tried to order ahead one day on their mobile app and the Zionsville location isn't listed on there yet, so I hope they add it soon. Also, two of the times I've been through, they've been out of napkins and handed me some paper towels from the bathroom, so again, hope they get their shipment in soon! Overall, it's OK and convenient but not super motivated to make it my regular stop. read more

The drinks are yummy and the atmosphere is great. I have visited several times and have always dinned in the lounge. I am a mom and have brought my kids with me each time. They have a Kid Menu and high chairs, they seem to be very family friendly and yet, no changing tables in the bathroom. As a parent this is very upsetting. I had to leave and change my babies diaper in the car while it was raining. I don't think I'll be back, especially with the kids. I feel like this is a law to have changing tables in restrooms and they aren't up to code. read more

I'm a huge fan of the blackberry black tea lemonade, but the last 5 times I've been, I haven't gotten that drink at all. This time, it was a hibiscus tea made with water, and blackberry syrup. For $6 I at least expected it to be similar to the drink I ordered, but these last few times that's just not the case.
