A nice store in a next to an Episcopal church and public library. It is in a small shopping center where you slow your pace and vehicle traffic moves respectfully. This is the kind of neighborhood Starbucks where they learn your name very quickly if you are even a semi-regular. The remodeling and change of seating that all the local Starbucks have been getting very much fits the neighborhood vibe. There is a wonderful corner with a comfy clean sofa and a couple of firm but plush chairs w a common coffee table and a couple of places to put your cup. The back end close to the restrooms still has tables that allow people to plop themselves down and work. The long side face has nice shaded chairs on the outside where you can sit back deep in your seat and watch the people and cars going by. Take your espresso in a cup and saucer, or have a cold beverage in a clear glass to appreciate the layered colors and flavors. All the usual food and drinks are available here. And the best thing is the tourists rarely stop in. I love to stop in for a take-away or have a "for here" drink when I do my grocery shopping at the nearby Foodland Farms. read more

The quality of the coffee lately has been absolutely terrible. I come in to this location at least 3x a week and the coffee has been tasting like it's been sitting for days! Has anyone else noticed this? Very disappointing. read more

Love this location. Definitely gives more of a small town coffee shop. The managers always welcome me by a first name basis. Everyone is friendly and the place is always clean and stocked. They have a bathroom inside which is great to wash up and for the little ones. I come her about 2-3x per week and the coffee is strong and delicious! read more

Starbucks - Iced dopio with matcha cold foam with splash of half and half - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

We get along like Starbucks lovers... Haha!! Well we do! Never really out her much but I really wanted to try planted by La Tour and needed to go to First Hawaiian Bank which all was right here in the triangular back corner in Aina Haina Shopping Center yay one stop shop! A more modern industrial vibe here this is a nice location with a few seating outside as well this slightly hidden Starbucks does its decent share of traffic flow surprisingly as a it's quite busier than I'd imagine. With code provided they do have a bathroom here "super appreciated!" so that we can sip, relax and enjoy the moment with our yummy drink. The staff here is just so friendly with a polite greet and the calmness in general I can see why this place is chosen to bring your workload which majority seems to be doing here. Keep calm and bring your own cup and see more stars! Thank you! read more

Ordered the banana bread matcha latte and got extra cold foam, my drink had regular cold foam and it was half full . I opened the lid and it didn't have the toppings. It didn't taste like banana at all . They could have told me they don't have the stuff to make it but they didn't. 0/10 read more

I have been coming to this Starbucks for years. I don't frequent how I used to because this is just a treat for me. Still I am a paying customer and should be treated well. The vibes here are more like I should be greatful they are providing me service rather than them appreciating a customer. Cashier gal was polite. Taller lady giving off manager/lead vibes was brisque. Ordered a frap and paid for the extra toppings. Received my drink and rather than be upset and have a crap day, I asked for more of the toppings I paid for. There was very likely 6 pieces of crunch topping and a thin line of caramel sauce. The person that i asked if i could get extra added a little more of the crunch topping and no sauce. I don't like having to repeat myself and the fact that I had to ask in the first place, because paying almost 20% of a drink for the minute amount that was originally added did not seem right. It would be really great if the workers understood that the customer, me, is paying extra to enhance the drink and make my day just a little happier not to add something that really should have been free. read more

I'm amazed at a few things here. The coffee is always good. And the 2 stars is not for the coffee. The stars is for some people in the front of the line who decided to yank all the bear cups off the shelf and not save for the people behind. But hey, good on you for coming early, but to not have the courtesy to save for people behind you shows no aloha. And to make it worse, order a coffee and parade your 5 bags of mugs outside like you won the sweepstakes is nuts. I hope they were all for gifts, but we all know you will probably re-sell at a ridiculous price. Also, for the employees to not make an announcement that they ran out while we all waited is even worse. And then make it worse to say "let me check the back" is even worse. I applaud all of us who didn't raise heck and just left. I hope you have a wonderful holiday with ur bunch of bears. Aloha. read more

My favorite neighborhood Starbucks. Location:Aina Haina Shopping Center across from the library On these hot summer days it's nice to get a refreshing ice tea or cold brew. Since Lilo just had her nails trimmed at Pacific Paws, she joined us at Starbucks as well. She was in for a special treat with her Puppucino. I guess we will see this evening if it doesn't agree with her. Regardless, she had a great time being part of the family and enjoying her Starbucks treat. Thank you to the Staff at Aina Haina Starbucks for treating all your customers, even the furry friends, with kindness. The customer service at this location is tops! Nice place to catch up with Pokémon as well. read more

Starbucks - Order up! - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

Solid Starbucks location. The staff here is always super friendly and professional. My drink orders are always done to perfection and I've never had a bad experience here yet! This location is very convenient because parking is ample and right off Kalanianaole Hwy. I like that this location is very clean and well organized. It does get crowded with locals in the morning and on the weekends. Seating is available inside and outside. They also have a basket that has used coffee grinds for gardeners, free for the taking. I don't think I've seen this done on the mainland, but it seems to be pretty popular with the locals. All in all, a great Starbucks! Location: 5/5 Prices: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Parking: 5/5 read more

My fave starbs on this side. Super convenient when you're leaving HK and heading to town to order ahead and swing by. The staff here is consistently friendly and hardworking. And for some reason, the drinks just taste better here. I know they are all following the same recipes, but maybe the fact that they actually care for their customers makes it that much better. :) They have it together, so even if you don't order ahead, you're going to get your order pretty quick. Starbucks - My free Veterans Day coffee. - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

I've been coming to this location for awhile, and I like the baristas and their customer service. I'm only deducting some stars for larger gripes with Starbucks itself, though I warn readers that this will be some first world whining. While by no means deal breakers as I still come to Starbucks religiously with my caffeine addiction, I do have a few issues. We're more than a year into COVID with more than half of Hawaii fully vaccinated now, and Coffee Bean has enabled limited seating, it'd be great to see Starbucks follow that too. The new paper straws tend to get soggy quickly if you don't drink fast enough, and even if you do, you have to almost rip the straw to get it to fit the Venti drinks. Lastly, and again I know this is totally first world complaining, but it's frustrating that Starbucks has toyed with my emotions on this oat milk debacle. For those not familiar, Starbucks finally began offering oat milk, only to run out and remove it from the menu entirely a couple weeks later. Like I get that from a small mom and pop shop, but how does Starbucks make a mistake like that?! Okay sorry, epic rant is over now. I still love Starbucks, it's just a little bit of a love hate relationship. read more

I have been a loyal customer of Starbucks for the past 25 years, frequently visiting both the Kahala and Aina Haina locations. The staff at Aina Haina are consistently polite and friendly, and I have always appreciated their warm service. However, I recently encountered an issue with the store manager that prompted me to contact customer service and speak with the regional manager for the first time. While the crew at Aina Haina excels in customer service, the store manager's behavior has been notably discourteous. I witnessed an interaction where the manager was quite curt with some tourists, possibly from Japan or China, and I regret not stepping in at the time. On National Assistant's Day, I visited the store to purchase a few drinks for my assistants. When I requested a drink without ice, the manager responded rudely, asking, "Are you trying to save a couple of bucks or what?" This experience was quite disheartening and inconsistent with the high standards of service I have come to expect from Starbucks. I politely requested that she lower her voice and moderate her demeanor, as my approach had been courteous and did not warrant such an inappropriate response. The regional manager was quite taken aback upon hearing this, and I expressed my profound disappointment with the service and the manager's conduct. I have not been to that location to say that least. I shared this experience with one of my assistants and I was informed that the manager is notorious for being rude to the crew at the store as well in resulting in a a lot of turnover in crew members. It is disappointing to see someone in the wrong seat and ruining their image for the brand of the location. read more

This Starbucks is beautiful. It's located at the Aina Haina Shopping Center. It's huge and offers inside and outside seating. The workers are super friendly. They greeted me as I walked in the door. I was there to try their limited Cherry Blossom frappe. I wasn't sure what was in it. The cashier explained to me that it was strawberries and cream with white chocolate sauce and matcha drizzle, topped with whipped cream and a sprinkle of matcha. I went ahead and ordered it. OMG!!! It was the best frappe that I have ever tasted. I tried to order it again but it was only available for a limited time. They don't carry the syrup for it. I wish Starbucks would put this on their permanent menu. read more

I like strong coffee, but I am not loyal to any particular brand of coffee............so long as it's strong, you know, the kinda of coffee that puts hairs on your chest is the kinda coffee I like! Recently I was hangin' in the Aina Haina area, and just so happens there was a Starbucks at the Aina Haina Shopping Center. I love what this Starbucks had done with the property, as the former tenant use to be First Hawaiian Bank. This new Starbucks is beautiful, decor is pretty chic, and I like it that there's outside seating available. Each time I came to this Starbucks, the place was pretty busy, but I noticed the workers were pretty efficient and moved the line quickly. I've been wanting a Starbucks in Aina Haina a long, long time ago back during my UH days, and I believed a location in the Aina Haina Shopping Center would be very convenient to get in and out. I would have taken the location where First Hawaiian Bank is and include a drive thru, but FHB snapped it up first. Be that as it may, I got my wish and a Starbucks is open in Aina Haina! It is extremely convenient as you come in from Nenue St. park at one of the stalls across the thrift store, walk in, pick up your mobile order, and be on your way back onto Kalanianaole Hwy heading to town. The whole process takes just a few minutes. This Starbucks is quite spacious with a good amount of tables inside and outside. The staff here are very friendly and very efficient in preparing your orders. They are also very consistent in making your order right. I will never go to any other Starbucks from now on. This review is for poor judgement and customer service. There was one barista working and one cashier helping a customer. I stood behind the customer who was taking some time purchasing a gift card as there was no one working the other register. The barista looked right at me as she was making a drink as I was the ONLY other customer waiting to be helped. Another customer came in and stood behind me and an elderly gentlemen came in and went to the empty register where he placed his empty Starbucks cup down and was trying to get organized with some things in his hands. The barista walked up to the empty register and asked the guy by name what he wanted. It was at that time I noticed a male employee who was out of sight behind the empty register on the phone (I think he was sitting on the floor) scurry to the side so that the barista could take the order at that register. The barista then looks at me and says something like "were any of you here before" and she looks at the guy. You looked right at me when I was the ONLY one in line behind the lady being serviced. Instead of asking who was next you bypassed two people ahead of your friend. Totally disrespectful and apparently you thought our time was not as important as your friend's time. read more

Lots of seating! Seems well patronized by Aina Haina locals. Lots of business from the yoga crowd from the nearby studio. This branch seems nicely organized and the floor plan works well visually. Starbucks - Strawberry Acai refresher with honey and lime. - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

I come here all the time, so I definitely owe them a review! The staff here are great, always super friendly and upbeat, and this is one of the three Starbucks locations in the islands that has a clover machine! The clover machine brews individual cups, and it is officially up and running. They have a large communal table that can seat 8 people, four to five tables for two, and then three high tops in the back that each seat four. They also have tons of outdoor seating, and ample parking in the Aina Haina Shopping Center lot. In addition, for those who are making a quick pit stop, they have fifteen minute parking in the back! Real estate is hard to come by in the morning, but there's usually a seat somewhere, even if it means asking someone at the back tables if you can share the table with them. BONUS: I've frequented many a-Starbucks, and this is the only one I've been to where they've offered free samples! Holiday mini red cups the size of a dixie cup, filled with wonderful holiday seasonal drinks from their peppermint mocha to their chestnut praline latte. In the short time they've been open, I've already been around to receive 4 different samples, and they always serve it with a holiday dollop of whipped cream and sprinkles--it's the little things, yeah? The ONLY downside is that their prices ARE more expensive than elsewhere on the island. Iced tea will run you $2.45 instead of $2, and frappucinos can cost up to $6. read more

Clover-ly disappointed. Okay, this is a great addition to the Aina Haina area and as with all Starbucks, the staff is friendly. My biggest complaint is the Clover brewing system sitting there in plain view but not ready for use. This could possibly be the only Clover system on all of Oahu. Even on the mainland, locations with Clovers are rare and distinguished. Typically, upscale and high traffic locations warrant a Clover after analysis by Starbucks HQ. Sadly, this Clover wasn't ready with no known ETA, and some of the staff I talked to didn't seem to know what a specialty they had. More stars when the Clover is brewing. read more
