I feel the urge to write this because there is one worker who is extremely unfriendly and exudes an incredibly bad attitude every time I've gone there. I'm surprised Starbucks let's someone so unpleasant deal with costumers. It's a very bad reflection on their company. If it happened once, I'd think maybe she was having a bad day. But every single time I've been there and she's been behind the register, she's had a stink attitude. I thought maybe she had something against me, but after the fourth time I stayed and watched if she acted that way to other people. She did. So unfortunate. read more

Just stopped by for an after surf coffee. 7 am on a Sunday, this store is supposed to be open at 6 am. Park my car, go to open the door and it's locked. Two workers inside doing who knows what, making strange hand gestures, unable to come to the door and tell me if their about to open so I can wait, or that they are on Barista strike. I leave un-caffeinated, and disappointed. So lame. read more

This location is usually fairly empty and yet often low on food items. The service is slower than Ward, but there is often ample seating.

Customer service here is super weak. You walk up to the counter, barista doesn't greet you, just continues counting her cups for inventory. After a minute her greeting is: "what can I do for you?" No "hi" or friendly "hello?" Then a 10 minute wait for the girl to pour two cold coffees over ice. You guys suck and I'm not coming back here. read more

I currently had a mobile order placed at the Kam Shop location, and I knew I should have tasted my drink before leaving. The Chai Latte didn't taste as sweet as it normally does, and I know that Starbucks has a light Chai as well. Little to say the Kamehameha Center did not have the courtesy to hold my order and ask if I still wanted my drink made with light Chai. They just made it. I was already driving away and honestly upset as I spend over $7 a day on my coffee. I drove on my way to this current location as I had to do errands and went inside to ask if they child t remake my drink. The gentleman Matt was very helpful to remake my drink and even informed me that the regular Chai is out at most locations. It was nice to know what's going on. He also helped and suggested the holiday pumpkin chai. Needless to say, thank you to that location and Matt for just being genuine to help. I've been here twice within the week and I've had experiences from both ends of the spectrum. Today's visit was one of those awesome ones that had me in a good mood for the rest of the day. The two baristas working this afternoon were friendly and helpful even when the line was pretty long. I didn't have to wait long for my drink and had a quick convo in between. Although I am a partner and I understand being stressed about lines and/or whatever gets thrown your way I appreciate being acknowledged and that's what sealed the deal for me today. Thank you! I go to Starbucks a lot. We also have Starbucks k cups at home. Yes they have good drinks, but they also have really great service. I went to this Starbucks and for the first time, their service has failed me. I asked to order a grande strawberries and cream frappucino for my kids but split it into two cups. Cashier turns to the manager and asks if they can do that. Manager says no I have to charge you for two talls. Why is that? No explanation. It's for my kids so of course I'm gonna order it anyway. I ordered 3 frappucinos and a grande coffee. I receive my coffee and they ask for my name. Im waiting for the frappucinos...and waiting. I look up and they're sitting on the counter. I walk over and ask if these are mine. With attitude they say yes. I'm already carrying my coffee and I have to ask for a carrier tray. Mind you the manager looks at me all grumpy. Seriously?!?! This manager needs to be retrained on customer service and how to do things the Starbucks way. read more

I am always so dissatisfied when I go to this Starbucks I have never had a good experience but yet I continue to go in false hope that "this time will be better"!. Well I called in an order for a traveler which I always pick up at this location. When I arrived the line was short "Yay" but no traveler was in sight. When I get up to the Batista she explains that she doesn't see an order for me...another employee very politely says, "No problem I'll get it started it will take about 4 minutes". As I'm waiting I see HER...the manager the one who is always so rude and short with me saying beneath her breathe we didn't get an order for a traveler. As she preps my order I see her take out a sharpie and write something on the coffee container..."Kaka'ako Starbucks" which I thought was so rude as if she was trying to make a point. I called the Kaka'ako location, and also if it is the Kaka'ako location, then it should be labeled such on this site and not Downtown so it doesn't confuse customers. If I did call the wrong location, as a manager, she should have handled the situation more appropriately and put a smile on her face and happily helped me instead of making me feel like a burden. I love Starbucks but bad employees make the experience dreadful. read more

This is by far, THE BEST Starbucks I have even gone to. Granted, I usually go in on a day off or on my way to work...when I work later in the morning. Don't expect to be in and out within 5 minutes during the busy morning hours because that's just being unrealistic. but even considering that, they are quicker than the location nearby my house...when I am the ONLY customer waiting for a drink...in the middle of the day. There's usually the same collection of employees...who I loooove! they are so friendly and welcoming, even if there's a line to the door. I have never not heard a "good morning" or "aloha", where near home...ill be lucky if I even get eye contact! I only go twice a week...at most, but they remember my name, my drink, and how toasty I like my bagel! i go out of my way to go here (I if time permits after dropping off my bf to work on merchant st). btw, I live in kaneohe and work in kalihi. read more

There's not much to say here. It's a regular Starbucks. It's larger than most of the stores in Honolulu, and the bathroom requires a code to unlock. One might think that Starbucks would be at a disadvantage, located in the same building complex as 4 other coffee\tea shops, however Starbucks is the only one that opens before 7am! read more

I would give them no stars if I could, I went there this past Monday, I did a mobile order at 7am, got there around 7:10am and it wasn't ready. A couple mins later my food order was ready so I grabbed it and waited for my coffee. There was a lot of people waiting for the mobile orders, and the barista was saying they were backed up. It's now 7:30 and I finally ask if my order was going to be ready soon, when I told her my name she looked at the counter below and it was sitting there. It was ready the whole time but she didn't call my name or put it on the upper counter, she said she was waiting for the second part of my order. I told her I was already given it!!! And to top it off I ordered a hot coffee and she told me that they ran out of lids!!!! I couldn't believe it! I told her I still have to drive, it's going to spill all over in my car! So I just had to grab one of the small lids for the iced drinks! I'm never going to this location again! They need to get there s**t together! And they all look miserable working there! Cant stand this location, every time I come here, no matter how early in the morning I always end up waiting at least 15-20 minutes for my damn drink! And this happens even if there is only 1-2 people ahead of me in line! Always only one person making drinks, one Taking orders and two replenishing! I do not understand why the crew that works the night before cannot replenish for the morning staff! I ordered at 6:35, it is now 6:55! Just got my drink! I will not be returning here. Seriously the slowest Starbucks on the island. There is no urgency to pick up speed whatsoever. There was only 2 people in front of me and it took over 10 minutes to get my iced soy chai. This place needs someone to come in and train the workers or hire a new manager. read more

This Starbucks is usually full of sweet people like Tetra, but today I finally had to write this review. Dani (blonde girl) is horrible! I've been coming here for years, not once seen that girl smile or greet me. When my drink is made incorrectly she rolls her eyes and has not once said I'm sorry. I understand that sometimes we make mistakes, I GET IT, I do but hey, learn your manners. Mobile orders are all I will do now so I don't have to see her more than 30 seconds even though it usually takes longer because she seems to always mess it up. read more

I have ordered "no foam" lattes on three separate occasions and I have received lattes WITH foam. Very odd because "no foam" is indicated on the cup and the barista calls out the drink as a "no foam latte" when it's ready but I have to go back to ask her to remove the foam. When I asked a barista for suggestions on what I can do to make sure that my drink is made correctly he shrugged and said "just not paying attention I guess." Not even an apology! read more

This location is placed perfect. Love how the inside looks like. The minute I opened the door I was greeted by the workers. They where super friendly. This was my most favorite Starbucks until they converted to pay-parking. You can get your ticket validated but the ticket machine doesn't always recognize this. As mentioned in another review, there is a line to get in and a line to get out of parking. If you ride a scooter/motorcycle, you are out of luck for there is no space for these vehicles. And the ticket machine upon exit will not recognize a scooter or motorcycle for it is too light. If you are a minute past 1 hour you will be charged, machine doesn't accept cash, only credit card and no receipt. I give up. read more

This used to be my favorite spot until I got charged $8 for parking even with validation (1hr) and I was there less than an hour.

I LOVE this location! Started coming here a few months ago because I would grab smoothies at Lanikai Juice and then walk right next door for coffee & breakfast sandwiches for my office. The staff here is AWESOME and there's a genuinely HAPPY feeling when they greet you :) Jan is always nice to me and so is the rest of the staff, but I have yet to learn all their names.
