The indoor space greets you with ceilings so soaring you half expect a choir to descend and start harmonizing about espresso beans. The ambiance makes you want to stay well after you've actually finished your drink. My friend, a certified drink connoisseur, insisted I order the peanut butter mocha. I did. It ruined me. This drink walked in, introduced itself, and immediately filed for a permanent spot in my life. I'm not saying I've thought about it every day since -- I'm saying I've thought about it every hour since. Will I be back? Obviously. Am I already plotting my route there? Also obviously. Is this review just a thinly veiled love letter to a beverage? Yes, and I regret nothing.

Unfortunately, we arrived to find a sign announcing that they had closed early at 3 PM for maintenance, despite their posted business hours of 7 AM-5 PM. We had missed the unexpected closing by just 17 minutes. The door was open so we peeked our head in, but the worker reiterated that they were "closed". I understand that maintenance happens, but it's incredibly frustrating to make a special trip to a business during its advertised operating hours only to discover it's closed. What prompted me to actually write this review was seeing that someone had left a one-star review just three weeks ago describing a similar experience and suggesting that inconsistent hours were an ongoing issue. Apparently, management just doesn't care. Why can't maintenance be completed at 5 PM instead of 3? It's such a shame because the matcha really was exceptional, and I was excited to enjoy it one more time. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and finds a way to communicate unexpected closures more effectively. Customers should be able to rely on a business being open during its posted hours, especially when they're making a special trip. Five stars for the matcha, but unfortunately not for the experience.

He couldn't remember the name, but when he pulled it up on his phone's map, it was Quail & Condor! Imagine my delight. I'd wanted to try it for years, and he'd been bringing it home all along. I've walked by many times and a friend finally took me in - she told me that many of the restaurants in Healdsburg use teas from Russian River Tea Company. My friend has tried many of the loose leaf teas offered. I really liked the one we tried - we had it iced - and now I'm forgetting the name...was it Tropical Breeze, or Island Breeze, or something to do with Hawaii? I'll have to return and report back. There's a lot packed into the small space. They offer tea towels, tea pots, insulated mugs, local chocolates, some clothing items, and more.
