I had ample time prior to taking the train in Hampton Bays and decided to stop in at Starbucks to get a cup of coffee. I like this train station since there is a shopping center across the street. it is on a corner but the layout is a large rectangle. As you walk in there is the counter to order on one side and oversized upholstered chairs with tables in between opposite. As you walk further into the restaurant, there are tables with seating towards the back and the restroom is beyond that. I placed my order for a short black coffee and since I had time, I did not feel rushed. The staff was pleasant and the place has a nice vibe. They were already preparing for the holidays with special Christmas coffee blends and another thing that I was not aware of if that you can order breakfast sandwiches there all day. it was a pleasant place and it is ideal if you are waiting for the train to come, waiting for someone to meet you [doctor's offices are above] or have some time to kill. Pretty solid Starbucks location. Coffee options are pretty limited in this area, so this spot does get pretty busy. Despite busy periods, the store itself is clean and well maintained. Staff are hard working and helpful, I've never had an issue at this location as far as ordering goes. Like other reviewers mentioned, placing a mobile order is your best bet during weekends and holidays. If you're not able to order ahead, be prepared to wait. I was last here during the start of 4th of July week, and it was busy but not totally slammed. Was able to get my mobile order made within minutes, and left happy. First time going to the Starbucks over MDW, line was super long so we decided to use the mobile order feature. It was a breeze! This location only uses paper straws and the new wife mouth sip tops. Took a little while to get used to, happy To do it for the environment. Parking lot is on the smaller side, as this location is located within a strip mall. read more

Friendly staff and generally fast service. However, they are always blasting the AC. Staff is apparently not allowed to turn it down, so it is unnecessarily cold and a wasteful use of energy. Very difficult to sit and do work for more than a few minutes as my hands get too cold to type or write. I ordered a Mocha Frappuccino and there was only one other person in line. I waited for about 10 mins at the pick up counter while 6 patrons arriving mobile pick up orders had their orders served ahead of mine. When I asked the girl behind the counter if my order was ready she very rudely told me to move back from the counter and she'd tell me when my order was ready. Feeling like an idiot after being chastised by the pretentious HS Starbucks girl, I waited another 8 minutes while the 4 servers behind the counter took care of only mobile pick up orders. Clearly this store (and maybe Starbucks in general) are prioritizing pick up orders, which is fine, but don't be so rude about it to walk ins. It was only until I asked for my money back did they tell me they would make my coffee, which took them all of 45 seconds. I've been here a few times, and never a pleasant experience. Your way better off at Francescas around the corner which has amazing ice coffee. read more

I have never had an issue with any Starbucks locations. The staff is always friendly and courteous. My only issue is with the company. I am diabetic and cannot have all the sugary drinks so I am limited to the artificial sweeteners they provide. However, the one that I use which is Equal, they have stopped offering in the locations in my area. I do not react well to the other sweeteners. So now I have to carry Equal packets around with me. It is just a little inconvenient and I wonder how many others out there feel the same way which is let down. read more

I really dislike many of the servers here. They don't respond to a "good morning" or a "thank you"; they don't make eye contact except to glare at you if you happen to make them wait a second for them to use the bathroom. I wanna start by saying I am completely against Starbucks Coffee. I'd compare my likeness for Bucks to the Wilpon's eagerness to spend money. But this review isn't about the coffee. This review is to express how pleased I am with the experience I had in the bathroom. Not a lick of pee on the toilet when I sat down, fully stocked toilet paper, and a nice relaxing playlist at the perfect volume over the speaker. If you're sitting on the toilet and hear "Tattoo" by Jordin Sparks, God bless. And not to mention, the code is posted on the door so I don't have to embarrass myself asking the cute barista for it. She knows damn well I pooped when I walk out the side door 15 minutes later without a coffee order. I'm rating it 4 stars because I am fully 100% committed to Dunkin Iced Caramel Macchiatos, and 5 stars is hard to come by. If there was a half a star option, I'd Caretaker the crap out of that. read more

one thing i can't stand about this place is a certain morning employee who makes the coffee all wrong (way too strong/concentrated) & to top it off, she really skimps on the pour. Order a Grande and she'll pour you the equivalent of a Tall. Probably because of those types who pour excess coffee right into the garbage bin, then fill half their cup w/ cream . Everyone else who works there is fine, and do things right, there's just this one employee--i often feel like turning around and walking right back out when she's working. Worked here for a short while a few years ago and the manager was absolutely nasty to me. She asked me all kinds of inappropriate questions about my personal life. I stopped showing up because I absolutely hated every day that I went there. They never properly trained me and it was MY fault that I didn't know how to make any of the drinks. Never got any of my tips, they magically disappeared when I went to collect my check. Had me staying until 1 in the morning closing the place and everybody treated me like garbage.
