Utterly unhappy with the weird Lidl in Westhampton, I was on my way to Stop & Shop when I found Wild by Nature. Woohoo! It's a bright, beautifully laid out store, with a giant selection of vegetables and fruit, PLUS an enormous selection of gluten-free flours and goodies. They have a nice selection of gourmet foods and oils, a large selection of cereals and sauces, and generally anything that you need. I was only shopping for the ingredients for dinner and zucchini bread, so just quickly explored the store. Service was friendly and helpful. There's a sense of order, as opposed to the chaos of Lidl. This is reminiscent of the Sprouts chain in Colorado, maybe slightly more upscale. Very clean store. read more

I always find hard to fine gluten free and celiac safe products here. This is a well needed specialty store. Staff is very nice and helpful.

Beautiful store working to bring better quality food than ordinary supermarkets. Sprung from the privately owned King Kullen family it does a great job of being a specialty shop and good sized market hybrid. Today I visit in the toughest of times. People are wearing gloves. Some masks. People are living in fear of the outbreak of COVID19. Yet despite the many partly empty shelves. Their higher quality items still hang around promising us better days. So yeah give me some of that Stonewall Kitchen old farmhouse chutney. Sure I'll go home and make some homemade scones with my time. And sure I'll take some Bobs Red Mill Paleo style muesli for $11. It looks like just the thing to keep strong and ready for the onslaught. I'll take some Macadamia Nut milk, some Tate's cookies from Southampton and a bag of NY style bagel crisps, everything flavor of course. For my dear friend at home I've got some impossible to find Halloumi a European boring cheese they all love. Thanks WBN for always having things on the shelves that remind us life is more than just getting by. If this blows over. When it does. This is a mini- Whole Foods for a mini- Hampton town... love the HUGE Organic selection and delicious prepared foods! The bakery is probably the most underrated bakery in ALL of Long Island!! The bakery has AMAZING all natural cookies/ cakes/ chocolate... believe me- it's so good I avoid going near it because I know I'm going to just buy something! This is the only Wild by Nature I've ever been in, and I'm a fan of what I've experienced so far. I've only encountered a few staff members there, but they've all been very pleasant and helpful. The items are displayed neatly on the shelves, and the place looks well-stocked. They even carry those green garbage bags for the dump at the customer service counter, which is convenient. There's also a small cafe with some tables so customers can enjoy a drink and a chat. The prices are a bit higher than what I'm used to in food stores, but that's understandable given the nature of this place. I'm looking forward to my next visit so I can try out another flavor of the fruit juice I've been buying. read more

Good: Very good quality fish and meat departments, although it's not always easy to find counter help. There's also an interesting selection of prepared foods. Overall, the staff is courteous and pleasant. Bad: Not everything is clearly labeled. You're on your own in the produce department. More importantly, Wild by Nature is pricey, and often for the same products that are sold at King Kullen for much less. If the store offered added service value to match the mark-up, than perhaps the premium prices would be justified. However, the store isn't managed like an upscale market in any way, shape or form. "All hands on deck"? Not hardly. When crowded, you'll wait on a long check-out line while employees mill around the store. Either like it or lump it. On a few occasions I've lumped it, and left empty handed. Quite often employees-on-break can be seen sitting on a bench in front of this "organic" food market chain smoking cigarettes. Nice. Verdict: Overall, Wild By Nature has the potential to be an interesting specialty market, but the indifferent attitude permeates the entire shopping experience. Note to management: If you're attempting to generate a unique market environment, wake up and act like you care! I've never been to another store in the chain, but this WBN is a pale imitation of Whole Foods, or even Trader Joe's. read more

Forget about all those tiny, even more expensive, health food stores. This mega healthful store is the best for many reasons: great selection, superb, knowledgeable, helpful staff; delicious deli counter; fabulous juice bar; big, diverse supplement section; lots of organic things, etc. Yes, it is not cheap, but that is because of the really superior quality of their products. Naughty by nature for certain. The boutique arm of King Kullen/KK subsidiary has restrictive hours and a largely non-functional and thus uninformative site, and my question re: a shopper card was met with incredulity and about 45 seconds of bewilderment, but I used my card on my first trip, so it was ultimately a success (and the puzzled girl was friendly, at least). I grabbed a circular from the same CS desk but wasn't particularly impressed by any deals. There was a great selection of most varieties of products for the health-conscious and gastronomically sensitive (including beers), but I found the prices to be closer to those @ WF than TJ. The salad bar seemed decent but wasn't go-out-of-your-way commendable by looks alone, and there's a seating area near the entrance for those so inclined. I was fond of the not-as-common-as-I'd-like loose grains section and capitalized on that to the behest of some folks who seemed stymied by my speed and the sheer array of my purchase. Said patrons tended to be under- or overdressed and all seemed to assume I worked there, a big problem everywhere I go. The conveyor on which I placed my items was awkwardly hollow, and I'm unsure of the coupon policy of the establishment, but mid-week on an early April evening, the onslaught of gelotophobic summer folk was kept to a minimum, fortunately not riddling my shopping experience. read more

Easily the best grocery story on easter Long Island. Healthy food, really nice people run the place and discounts on everything. They mail you a coupon for 10, 15, even 20% off your next bill. Not sure how they can give you 20% off your entire bill, particularly when the price of each item is less than most other places out here by a mile. This is my go-to spot. read more

be careful with the bulk items = i recently bought wild rice, brown rice and coscus and they were full of bugs - so many that they flew out and were covering my kitchen wall! I called the store and told them and they said to bring it back- well , of course! When i did the customer service girl did not even apologize for selling me rice with bugs! i will never shop there again. read more

Not my favorite store but it does carry some of the brands of food I'm used to after living in an urban city for so long. Was pretty disappointed to find that the crumbled goat cheese I purchased last night, which was set to expire in March might I add, was moldy and had a foul odor upon opening the first time. Not the cleanest store, prices are way higher than Whole Foods (can u believe that?!?!) a bottle of fancy expensive Harmless Harvest coconut water here is $5.99 versus a whopping $4.99 at Whole Foods. Sounds silly, but come on at least price match a huge conglomerate grocery store! Will probably come here for a few things- packaged & sealed DRY/pantry goods, but nothing else. Drive to Trader Joe's or Whole Foods if you want clean & organic produce that while still costly is cheaper than this crapper. I will note that the only reason I'm giving this place 3 stars is because the staff was lovely and helpful. I don't blame the produce freshness issues on them, I think it's a larger problem. read more

We have been shopping here for about three years and find they have a good selection of organic foods, and other products. Their prices are reasonable for that type of store and area. The store is clean and the employees are very nice, they could use more people on the checkouts during busy times. They used to have more organic brands of meat and poultry than they do now, we would like to see that improve. It's a great health food supermarket with alternative medicine products. People are extremely kind. There are discount cards available to all and even better to senior citizens like me, plus you receive a 15 or 20% discount each month according to how much you have spent. I spend a lot of money, so I appreciate. I have one strong criticism: why does a health food market continue to sponsor vendors that pack their foods in plastic? We all know how bad plastic is for our health when it leaches into the products we eat. I have asked them many times to put pressure on their vendors, but they won't. After all it's a business, that's all. I appreciate the fact that one of their vendors of milk: Ronnybrook Farm Dairy in Ancramdale, New York pack their milk in glass bottles. When I ask questions such as: where can I find raw milk, and raw milk cheese, they don't know and they don't investigate. When I ask questions about the manner in which the chickens and their products live, they don't know. So yes, they are a health food market, but with reservations. Their ideals are located in the pocket and the dollars they put in. I do love their employees, young, many of them, smiling many of them, and a few older ones just as nice. But comme on, do your research and show some interest in the health food products you sell! read more

When it opened, I used to do my main food shopping here. But I no longer do. Instead I go to the Whole Foods 'Farm Stand' store that opened in Wainscott (since I work in that town but live in Hampton Bays). I can trust Whole Foods not to sell me candy bars whose first ingredients are: Corn syrup, cane sugar, organic unrefined cane sugar, palm kernel oil, palm oil... (yes, these are the ingredients in the Twilight candy bar I impulsively added to my cart. Later, after reading the ingredients, I felt deceived).
