This is one of the worst Starbucks in the area. I order from the Starbucks app and used to be in and out but the last few times I've gone in there to get my order (never more than 2 drinks) I've waited literally 25-30 min each time. Totally unacceptable. read more

Their coffee is right on, everytime I go my frappucino ALWAYS spot on job, my go to flavor is Caramel Ribbon Crunch and oh my Jesus it is amazing. When people say it´s ¨Expensive¨ I think that theyre just getting old its not all that expensive. It is amazing and 5$ for a frappe is not that horrible so If your looking for good coffee come here trust me one sip is all it takes to be addicted and you´ll never want to look back you wont be dissapointed :) read more

Overall average to below Starbucks. Visited here 4 times over the past couple days we were in the area. Ordered via the mobile app and in person. On Sunday I arrived early, only one customer inside and no cars in drive thru, but my mobile order wasn't ready. First response I got from the barista was, "just got the order". This was without even asking my name. Then the barista asks me for my name, they pulled up my order, and said, "no idea what happened". It appeared that one person was training the other 3 workers. Eventually got my order, but it was wrong. Since I had left already, I wasn't about to go back. read more

I love this Starbucks. They are definitely the store to compare others in the area. Just a little education if you didn't already know. The store that was in Wappingers and is in the Target over in Newburgh are "franchise" stores. I was wondering why the coffee never tasted the same at these two locations. I have found out that franchise stores do not use the same recipes as the corporate stores aka Fishkill. Also, it appears they aren't held to the same standards as the corporate stores. I am disappointed in this because at the end of the day we are buying a brand. We are paying $4 and $5 for that brand of coffee. I think that all Starbucks store should be held to the same quality and standard as the corporate stores. read more

Attention Howard Schultz! This Starbucks location is awful and isn't worthy of being part of your coffee emporium empire. I have been to the Fishkill Starbucks several times and it has always seemed odd that the drinks in this location differ in taste (and not in a good way) from the standardized products served up at every other outlet in the chain. The brusque servers are very slow despite their large numbers and sanitation leaves much to be desired with the counters covered with empty sugar packets, dirty stirrers and a film of milk. Tonight I ordered an iced latte from the drive through. The transaction involved three unsmiling staff in the window at various times during the several minute wait for my drink to arrive. When the last server thrust the drink at me without as much as a thank you or even an indifferent, "here's your latte" I was glad to have my coffee and flee the no smiling zone. That is, until I tasted the latte. It was lukewarm with a sour dairy taste competing with a nasty "off" coffee flavor. I have no idea how they could make the usual satisfying Starbucks latte taste so bad. Two sips and I dumped the whole drink rather than risk getting ill. While this was my worst experience at the Fishkill Starbucks, it's consistent with the mediocre service and product I've come to expect here. Overall I love Starbucks, but this location is to be avoided at all costs. 7/14/15 Update I have heard from the Starbuck's corporate office and they apologized for the poor product and service at this location. They agree that my experience there is unacceptable and indicated that they would follow-up with area management to attempt to improve the customer experience in Fishkill. Kudos to them for the prompt response and for taking accountability for the situation. read more

Bad, bad, bad! Everything, bad! Seriously, don't come here. I'd rather suffer through the worst, I-feel-like-my-eyes-are-bleeding caffeine headache of my life than come here again. My experience was, to put it simply, a disaster. The baristas had absolutely no idea what they were doing or what they were making. And, there were six people behind the bar. Six! (I've been to coffee shops in the city where only two people were behind the bar and a line around the corner, and I still walked out with my drink in under five minutes.) Three -- three! -- patron's drinks were made incorrectly, which is really, solely the cashier's fault, not the baristas, but I'm blaming everyone. (#sorrynotsorry) I ordered a grande, nonfat latte and it took -- drumroll please -- fifteen minutes! One of the baristas even got a little sassy with me when I asked where my drink was (Kansas? Oz?), which I did not appreciate. I've worked in customer service, too. It's no walk in the park, but it is your job (...and, Miss Sass, I'd really love for you to do it and spare me the attitude. For 8 months now I've had a contest with this store and the Newburgh Starbucks. At the end of each month I go in and order a Carmel Frap with no whip and soy milk. 2 more customers lost (and as many more as we can persuade) due to laziness and simple lack of social graces. I got my order, very hot Chai Tea Latte, without a sleeve. Thought that maybe they had run out, or changed for conservation purposes. Willing to singe my hand to an extent, but the next cup up got a sleeve. Then we stood and waited for my wife's drink, cold iced tea. And waited. Finally asked, and it was sitting in the back, ice melting. And then it was handed to us without any acknowledgment of the fact that they missed their mark, or that they felt any responsibility for the delay. Sloppy, lazy, bad business. read more

I actually frequent this drive-thru pretty regularly (once every 2 weeks is kinda regular, right?) And they've really done a nice job moving traffic along and getting orders right. They are very friendly and I enjoy coming here. I just wish there wasn't always a ten minute wait on the drive thru. read more

I was a little harsh on this Starbucks originally, and it seems that new staff has totally made this one the best in the area. I go at all times of the day and for the most part, everyone is extremely friendly and most try to remember your order. Think about mobile ordering because depending on the day, it's a small store and the line can get seriously backed up. read more

I visit this store frequently to grab a morning coffee and sometimes an afternoon pick-me-up. My experiences here vary drastically and I can honestly say that is due to the varied staff members. I do want to mention that Candace is always attentive and working hard, and it is a pleasure when she is working as I am able to get my drink in a reasonable amount of time. The ambiance of this store is about the same as many others, but I will say it is a bit quieter than some others and can be very conducive to getting work done. The drive-thru is fantastic and convenient but if there are more than a few cars in line you are better off taking a walk inside, as it can take a very long time to both place your order and then sit through the line. read more

Been holding off on a review for a while on this one. Starbucks in Fishkill has a habit of messing up every time. No joke, my last 6 or 7 orders have all been messed up, either from outright getting the wrong drink to taking 25 minutes to get my order while people who walked on 15 minutes after me get theirs. One or two times, fine--I get it. I worked in restaurant service and I understand. But this is a half dozen times in a row. I've sworn off this place after the last time, when we ordered something, waited an obscene amount of time, and then received the wrong drink, again. Starbucks is too expensive to receive the wrong order every time. Go to the Starbucks in Target Poughkeepsie or up by Barnes and Noble or in Newburgh, not here. I was on my way home from an exhausting day at work this evening around 10:30 only to go home and have to work another full days worth of work from the house and thought to myself "Wow, You know what would REALLY make tonight great?" That's right, you guessed it... A venti mocha with two pumps, an extra shot and some whip action on top. As I passed not one, not two, but THREE Dunkin Donuts on my way to the dream factory that is Starbucks from my job, I had laughed at the thought of a Dunkin mocha in comparison. "What comparison" I thought... That diabetic nightmare of a hot beverage could Never compete with the sultry hand crafted mouthgasm that the Seattle slammers have to offer.. As I tried to refrain from doubling the speed limit as my mouth watered all over my truck, I could begin to smell the scent of those beautiful beans roasting throughout their fantastic Fishkill location... But wait... Was that coffee tingling my tastebuds? Or was it the taste of betrayal... (This is where the ship hits the iceberg.) Crash. As I gracefully rolled around the corner at 10:43 to run in and order what could be the only thing capable of keeping me alive on this chilly January night, I was in awe when there were no lights on in their location. WHAT'S GOING ON? Was there a power failure? Did the communists win? I could feel my heart drop, comparable to what happens to a dog about five seconds after their owner leaves them for work in the morning.. I was devastated... The reality that I would not be receiving that delectable passion filled latte hit me harder than Ike hit Tina.. I didn't know what to to do. The moral of this tragic story is that despite letting me down tonight, you have always come through for me in the darkest of days and although Dunkin was my only other option after the let down, I passed right by those sissies in a storm of hellfire that left them choking on my dust. I will continue to support you through thick and thin like the Bae's that you are. Keep killing it homies. I'll be back tomorrow to get that good good. read more

The worst Starbucks in the area. And that makes me sad =( On more than one occasion, I have waited for some ridiculous reason or another for my MOBILE order. If you know how mobile ordering works, you usually get a little sticker with your name on it, acknowledging that its yours. Naturally. EVEN FOOD ITEMS. Because the guy before me had a sticker on his coffee AND his food item. So perhaps its my fault I didn't ask what this stickerless bag of food was sitting ON the counter and not even in the mobile ordering spot. So my punishment, standing there for an eternity(5+mins) waiting for my food. FINALLY someone asks, points to the item on the counter and says thats it. THEN proceeds to tell me they don't put names on food. UM yes you do, for mobile ordering I'm pretty sure. Because I saw *Korey* WALK OUT OF HERE WITH HIS. I'm over it. But I think I'll be utilizing the Dunkin down the street from now on. read more

Want a green tea latte on a Saturday afternoon? Drive on... I'm a regular at this Starbucks and have been for about five years now (it's the green tea lattes, I'm powerless against their lure). I've seen management and baristas come and go, but one thing has remained consistent; management does not staff up appropriately for Saturdays and busy holidays. I used to pop in there as part of our Saturday errand routine, but have given up. Week after week the drive through line and walk in line is packed and there are usually just two or three baristas moving (never very concerned with the crowd or their efficiency). Shouldn't management note this and adjust staffing? Today was my last straw; Line out the door, baristas working away and the manager sitting in the seating area typing away at his computer, completely unconcerned with the chaos and crowd, couldn't he roll his sleeves up and help out at the bar during this mad rush? Another problem that I have with this location is while quite a few of the employees (especially the long term ones) are friendly and professional, many of the new recruits are not. I don't expect much, it's Starbucks, not Cheers, but if you order and pay for a soy drink and you get a dairy drink, the barista that you alert should make some statement of apology, if only just a "sorry about that." My final gripe has to do with Starbucks in general. I've spent a small fortune (really!) on soy green tea lattes and earned myself a gold Starbucks card in the process. A benefit of this loyalty card used to be that I didn't have to pay extra for soy milk. Apparently this benefit was discontinued some time last year. Having to pay extra for a non-dairy option seems wrong to me and having a benefit of my loyalty card yanked definitely has me questioning my loyalty. There are other great local coffee houses in beacon and cold spring, but I just wish Starbucks could turn this one around because this mama does love her soy green tea lattes! read more

I have been coming here for years only because this is my only option close my house unfortunately. The other Starbucks is too far up north on Route 9. The service here is slow, the staff isn't friendly and after tipping a few times with not even a thank you or smile - I will never tip again. I worked in a coffee house for 3 years... I am familiar with the business... I always treated the customers friendly and was grateful for a tip but never expected one. The prices really are high enough! I wish we had a better Starbucks or a new coffee house in the Fishkill/ Wappingers area. read more

I worked at Starbucks for a long time. But I hate that this is the closest Starbucks near my house because it is the slowest Starbucks I've ever been to. Writing this as I sit in the drive thru for the past 17 minutes (I timed it this time). And every day it's this long, don't even bother with mobile ordering. Staff is nasty too, doesn't say thank you or any type of greeting. I said thank you after every time they handed me something through the window and said have a nice day before driving off and the barista responded "yeah". 7 employees joking around behind the counter while patrons are waiting to order and waiting for their orders. Once I finally placed and received my order the drinks were horrible. Strawberry açaí refresher was a pale pink with a few random strawberries floating around and tasted like water with strawberries in it while the mocha frappe ordered without whip had a large mound of whip cream floating on top and tasted like a little kids chocolate milk. The 1 star was due to the fact that the sandwiches were tasty. I guess they cannot screw up something they just have to heat up. Should have went to Panera instead. read more

I was pretty indifferent to Starbucks for a while, I know they get alot of slack for being so......EVERYWHERE, but it never really bothered me. As far as their coffee and drinks went, I liked them, but didn't go out of way for them, especially since there were alot of small time (and cheaper) coffee joints very close by. I currently live very close to this Starbucks, and my girlfriend is a fan, so we stop in quite a bit. They do have some delicious drinks and desserts, I must say. The service is really good, and fast. It's also a nice spot to actually sit and enjoy your stuff (I know alot of Starbucks get a little crowded and noisy, but this one is relaxing). read more

I have been to Starbucks around the country and on other continents. I have never had such a poor experience getting a cup of coffee in my life or throughout my travels. There are, at any given time, seven people working behind the counter, yet none of them are assigned to fulfill orders. The drive-thru line is a notorious joke that is laughed at cross-county. You should be prepared to devote, at minimum, thirty minutes just to place your order. There is also zero sense of urgency, in any capacity, at any time of day. I absolutely hate this Starbucks. You can drive 25 minutes to the Starbucks in Wappinger Falls or Lake Carmel Park, order, get your drink, and drive back home to the Fishkill area before you'd get your drink at this Fishkill Starbucks.
