My mom went out to treat us to ice cream after a long day, and it was obvious the staff didn't want to be there, even though it was only around 9:30 and they close at 10. While I get that end-of-day fatigue can happen, it doesn't excuse the poor quality of our orders. I specifically requested extra strawberries, but I only got 3 or 4 small pieces in a "love it" size, which felt careless. My mom's ice cream was incredibly disappointing as well. Stingy with both the ice cream and toppings she asked for. If you're going to work in customer service, there should be a commitment to serving customers well. It shouldn't be that difficult. She left them a tip afterward, but it turned out to be a decision she regretted. Do better.

Now I kinda laughed it off and left. I was working in my yard so my shirt had some dirt on it. The entire ride home I was trying to give her the benefit of the doubt that she didn't mean anything rude by it. I was talking to my family going over every possible interpretation of what she could have meant. But after reading several reviews about how rude she is, I have accepted that she was literally insulting my appearance and the way I looked. I honestly can't remember the last time someone was rude just to be rude. Also, please know that I will be contacting the BBB, making an entire post about it on the Wallkill/Walden Facebook groups and Neighborhoods. The fact that there are so many bad reviews about this one person and she is still there tells me that either management simply doesn't care or she is the owner. I will do my part in making sure everyone knows to never go to this place ever again.
