Convenient parking lot with a Panera Bread on the other side of the same shared building. We received great, fast efficient service during a peak busy breakfast time at 8:00 a.m. Most of the staff weren't smiling. They were concerned & concentrating on their craft, knocking out all of the drinks. The one who took my order was smiling though. Very nice & friendly. Someone in my party ordered a wrap and received it quickly also. Guests were coming and going picking up their pre app orders that were ready. In and out they came and went without skipping a beat. Like I said, they're very efficient here. They are true masters with their craft. One guest came in and was just a kind when he asked my niece and I if we were next. We both told him we're all set. I thanked him for that. We told him we already ordered. He was quick to ask if we ordered for him too. I chuckled and told him if I knew him, I would. I then said next time, next time. Told him, it may not be for a year, but next time. He was speechless for a few seconds then replied, "well happy Thanksgiving anyways". Great location right off 84. The perfect stop when traveling across NY and you need some fuel to keep driving! The staff here is friendly and accommodating for custom orders. There are a few bistro tables outside under a tree but most of the seating is inside. Great lighting inside if you are looking for a place to work. If I could give the Starbucks a zero I would have. Not only is the staff extremely rude every single time I come, but the coffee is never consistent. Today I ordered a chocolate cream cold brew and it was not made into foam the ingredients were DUMPED into the bottom of the drink. This is the second time this has happened to me this week, I thought I would give it another chance but clearly the staff is just lazy and rude. To make matters worse something must have been experienced in my creek water of a coffee this morning because I have had violent food poisoning ever since. We were off to a good start this winter. I visited a couple times when closing on my house and then doing visits, walk-throughs etc. I always do mobile orders cuz ain't nobody got time for standing on lines and waiting for people to decide whip or no whip on their half caff capp. The baristas I encountered back then (December through February) were always so nice when handing me my order. And then I don't know what happened but this is one of the most inefficient Starbucks that I have ever encountered. We now know that we have to place mobile orders at least 10 minutes ahead of time or risk waiting amongst the scores of parents with their screaming children waiting too long for their effin frapps (side note: are these parents masochists? I mean, I drank coffee as a child, don't get me wrong, but a small cup at most). Sometimes something is broken (20 min wait). One time we were on our way to the airport and it was super early and they were super slow. Why? Why oh why would you be slow in the morning at a coffee shop? Unacceptable. Get on your game. You have one job. I don't even expect a smile at 6:30 in the morning. Most recently, the place was packed as per usual. It was a Saturday afternoon so you can imagine (see above). Slow as molasses (I like sounding like a grandma sometimes). And I witnessed a barista loudly complaining and saying something "sucked" (to which I wanted to reply, if you mean this entire scenario, yeah "you right," as a New Orleanian mawmaw might say). This barista is the one my guy identified as having an awful 'tude whenever he goes in there. I don't need to describe her because I have no doubt if management were reading this, they'd know who I mean. But hey, I can deal with cursing, obviously. And if it were a funny and fast situation, bring it on. And if our drinks were made right (spoiler alert: they weren't. My guy's frap was full of air), I seriously don't care. Did I mention I am prone to rage stroking when waiting in a crowd of people in a place that's not the middle of Manhattan in the morning. It makes zero sense. The crappy thing is, when I've got a morning appointment, I have to rely on this mouth of hell for my caffeine fix because the locally-owned shops are nowhere near to being on my way out of Dodge. Ok wow. This Starbucks does takes the title of longest wait time. I originally got on the drive thru line but it didn't move at all for a good 5 mins. In fact I had enough time to grab my phone and place an order before I got off the line. So off I went inside to pick up thinking that 'haha' you guys waiting on the drive thru will not get your drink before me SINCE I ALREADY placed my order. But I still ended up getting my drink order after as I had to wait inside for another 7-8 mins. The drink itself did taste great, exactly what I wanted and how I wanted it made so at least on that end it was good but if I had to wait this long for a drink daily I'd definitely go elsewhere. read more

So after the last time I came here and had a horrible experience I was going to write a review, but then decided not to. But then yesterday I had another bad experience so I'm just going to hop on here to hopefully discourage people from wasting their money at fishkill Starbucks. So the first time I came here I had ordered 2 drinks, one for my mom and one for myself. I ordered a Frappuccino for my mom (Chocolate chip with a double shot and coconut milk- not complicated at all) but baristas tend not to like making traps. So after I said that order the lady taking my order in the drive thru was annoyed and rushing me for my next drink order. She kept cutting me off trying to rush me and wasn't actually listening to my order. I noticed that she wasn't getting my order down correctly and I tried telling her so she could fix it but she was just like yeah I got it you can come down. Whatever, so I went down to the window to find them giving me 3 drink. Turns out she took my 1 drink order and split it into 2 (iced quad espresso with 2 pumps white mocha and almond milk was my order.... but she gave me a plain iced latte and a white mocha with almond milk//none of which I drink because one had regular milk and the other had way too much sweetener and not enough espresso). So I told her the mistake and she said she would remake it, BUT THEN TRIED TO GET ME TO PAY FOR ALL 3 DRINKS!? Like what!?? I'm not paying for YOUR mistake, get out of here. So now the second time I go, I get the exact same drink (I get that drink pretty much every day) and the lady taking my order was super sweet and she wrote it all down correctly - love her - but then of course the guy making the drink messes it up. He puts like a splash of milk in it and then I ask him if her could put more and he says "you're going to have to ask for a latte next time, but for today I'll put a little more". Than puts a splash but more almond milk in there. Like sir, a latte is an espresso beverage that is mainly milk. It is very little espresso to basically a whole cup of milk (milk to the top black line to be exact). So yes if I wanted that much milk in my drink I would ask for a latte. But I don't. I want milk to about the first black line if you're putting the milk in first but the drink should be mainly ice for an iced espresso. He didn't even put enough milk to go half way up to the first black line for the Venti cup. So like I said, I get this drink pretty much every day and have been for the past few months. It always fills an entire Venti cup at every store I've been to before (which is a lot of stores considering the fact that I travel a lot between NY, PA, and OH). This dude gives me this (pictured below I have the quarter empty cup he gave me compared to what I usually receive). I was already having a really bad day and that experience just made it worse. I was on the verge of tears and just wanted my usual coffee to pick me up... and ended up getting this bitter tasting piece of crap. I was so mad. The worst in Dutchess County. 4 out of 5 times the drinks are made wrong. For the amount of money we pay, you think they would pump out the correct drinks. Staff is rude and when you say, this isn't how I ordered it, they act like you're in the wrong, not them. Manager is a total waste of space who literally makes drinks wrong herself. Wanted to try Starbucks for a holiday coffee and to get a free coffee cup. Didn't work out so well they had nothing sugar free in a holiday blend. I opted for a green tea instead. While waiting for my order the 5 people in front of me each got a free cup with their order, when my order was up I asked if I could also have a cup " no they are only for holiday drinks" and a walk away! I do not believe the 5 patrons all had a holiday drink, but I could be mistaken! Also there were other customers there who just took a cup and left, with employees paying them no mind. Not sure it would have broke the bank for them to give me a mug. it would also be nice to have the holiday coffees sugar and dairy free! Ordered from this Starbucks a couple of weekends ago (just moved back to the area) and one the staff members couldn't have more UNINVITING if they tried. He looked annoyed as soon as I walked in the door. I grabbed my order and said thank you, have a nice day, no response. I start walking to my car and took a sip of my coffee which was bland. Went back in and waited for someone to pay attention, finally, "Yes"? I said doesn't taste like there is any sugar in my coffee. Well, the pumps of cane sugar are only half pumps. What? Why would ALL other locations I've been to make my coffee perfect and you use a lame excuse to make up for not? Ok, well, can you add more? He huffs, how many? The service at the location is HORRIBLE!! We have been here several times while in town this week and have yet to have a pleasant experience. They do not put stickers or names on the orders so everyone is standing around waiting on their orders. The cashier doesn't listen or follow directions. The staff is snarky and rude. Why do they ask for names if they are are not going to put them on the order? One time out of seven trips has the order even been right. When you ask the baristas a question, the answer is always "I didn't make this order". Very disappointed!! Glad we are leaving town today so we can get good coffee! read more

Drive through folks are great but blonde roast is always cold and tastes bitter or sour. On far too many occasions I have had to return the coffee and ask them to make a fresh pot. And someone needs to wash the pots because it affects the flavor. Also, beware because they often try to pass off Pike as Blonde. By far the best Starbucks in the Hudson Valley Area. The Baristas literally go out of their way to get to know you and if you become a regular they will get to know what kind of drinks you like. The line is fast paced and drinks come out and a good rate. A+ read more

This is where it all began for me and where I spent a good deal of my time for about 2 years, from 2006 when they opened... *sniff* I miss going there every day for lunch to get my fix with my coworkers but I still visit on weekends. I knew everyone there at one point. I'll always love Starbucks, thanks to this store. I was there the day they opened. LOVE IT!!! May 2018 update: they have new staff, great friendly faces and are working hard to keep up with the busy crowds so I give them a lot of credit! July 2015 update: Unfortunately I have to agree with recent reviews. This location seems to be overwhelmed and although people are friendly for the most part, service has gotten very slow and the area by the napkins and stirrers is sometimes very messy. Hopefully they'll get whatever they need to stay on top of things because this is a great location and obviously a heavy traffic area. This has to be my most favorite Starbucks to visit (and I've been to quite a few). And I'm not just saying that because I live 2 minutes away. I've always had great service, great drinks and desserts (yummy lemon loaf that's ALWAYS fresh no matter how late I go), a comfortable and clean place to sit and just an overall relaxed environment. Maybe I'm just lucky because I go later in the day. As a nice touch, they feature local artists on their walls and it's always interesting and unique that I can actually appreciate. I walked into the Starbucks with my 2 year old. My coffee maker broke so I was desperate for coffee and was happy to see no one was ordering so I would be in out, right? WRONG! I ordered 2 drinks! A Grande cap. And a REGULAR COFFEE! My first drink took a decent amount of time. But my REGULAR COFFEE TOOK TOO DAMN Long! I just didn't understand it! My 2 year old had been holding on but was ready to leave! And here we were still waiting on a regular coffee! I find this location to be very slow! Customer service sucks! Whenever I do go to that location they always have problems with my order! I often get the same older women at the register who takes my orders! My orders are constantly lost or forgotten about even when fully staffed and no matter how busy or empty! I'm staring to take it personally! But of course the process of paying for your coffee is always quickly done! Go figure! read more

Oy vey! What a hot mess this place is. I've been here before and it was crowded and a bit chaotic but today takes the cake. Next time: a Coke from the Mobil. Went in just before 5pm for an ice tea... paid and then waited... 20 minutes for it. I kid you not. I showed the staff the timestamp on app for when they took the payment. They were slammed and the staff is working hard - non-stop - but no excuse. Starbucks: You cannot have it all ways and get away with it: Pricy drinks that take time to make, limited staffing, mobile orders and drive-thru and expect four people to handle all of this. No one is coming in to get drip coffee on a Sunday afternoon when the temp is pushing 100º. You know 98% of your customers are going to want cold, icy, specialty drinks that take time to make - so staff up accordingly. And I was not the only person in the place complaining. Lots of folks said the drinks weren't what they ordered and naturally they had to remake them. My luke-warm ice tea was a disappointment but I was not sticking around to have them make it before. What I should have done - and will the next time this happens - is ask for a refund and leave. From now on: it's 5 minutes or I'm outa there. read more
