There are also plenty of entertainment options and games to play, which adds a fun twist if you're there with friends or family. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Emma and Pyper especially stood out--they clearly know what they're doing and made the whole experience feel smooth and welcoming from start to finish. The place was also very clean, which is always a big plus. The coffee itself was excellent with lots of fresh options to choose from, and they often have interesting specials worth trying. Our drinks were genuinely delicious. The lavender latte was amazing--smooth, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The strawberry matcha was just as impressive and honestly hard to stop thinking about after. Overall, this is a spot I'd definitely recommend. Whether you want a quiet cuppa, something fun to do, or a place to bring the family, it really delivers. You won't regret checking it out. Oh and they even had pup cup for my fur baby, which was extra special. Definitely coming back!

I picked up my drink across where I ordered and then I picked up my food from a separate place when the device they gave me buzzed. What I ordered: * Chia seed pudding $7 - coconut chia seed pudding with coconut flakes, strawberry jam, and granola. Generously stuffed into a round container. Delicious. Inspires me to make chia seed pudding at home. * Hot earl grey creme tea $4 - I added honey. Perfect balance of citrus and black tea flavors. Came in a big paper cup, but had the option of having it in a tea pot and pouring it myself. Note they have a card surcharge of 2.9%. I was able to find a comfy seat with a round table. There were a lot of people but still enough seating and not too loud inside. The music was relaxing. Loved all the natural light and cozy, earthy vibes. For fellow matcha lovers, I saw a sign they use Mizuba matcha. It was already late afternoon and I had a matcha latte earlier so I chose not to get a matcha latte. If I'm around the area and come back soon though, I'd love to try their seasonal summer offering of the coconut matcha cloud. They also had a pastry case next to the register. The savory items sounded great too, so there's lots of items I'm interested in trying from here. Would recommend if you're looking for a nice, spacious cafe to relax or do some work!

If you cannot resolve a problem, or if it is an ongoing issue, you should escalate it to someone with the expertise and authority to address consumer concerns. Do not wait for customers to approach you after the situation has already deteriorated, especially when a flippant response has shifted the tone of the interaction. Another option would have been to table the conversation for a later time or on a different day until more information was available. What began as a discussion about a product concern quickly became focused on a employee instead of the issue itself. The manager appeared to become frustrated, stated to understand the main concern, yet responded with an unnecessarily intense tone and level of defensiveness. There was considerable deflection, repetition, and what felt like half-truths rather than a sincere effort to work toward a mutual solution. The manager should remember that they represent the Root of Happiness brand. We have been patronizing Root of Happiness for at least 10 years, long before the owners expanded to the Roseville, Midtown, and Rocklin locations. Additionally, over the last few weeks, the Justin's Peanut Butter Cups have seemed unusually dry. It may be the result of a bad batch from the vendor or the effects of extreme weather conditions impacting the product's quality.

I originally came because I kept reading all the glowing reviews about their matcha latte, and I was also intrigued by their Filipino-inspired drinks. My husband went with the vanilla latte, while I ordered the matcha latte. I would've loved to try one of their flavored matchas, but unfortunately I failed my gestational diabetes test by one point, so I had to keep it simple this time. We arrived right when they opened and were greeted by one of the owners, Freddy, who was so friendly and welcoming. We also got to meet Kate, and you can really tell how much passion they both have for their business. It's always nice to visit a small business where the owners are genuinely excited about what they're creating. The matcha was exactly what I was hoping for. I could immediately tell they use very high-quality matcha. It was creamy, smooth, and delicious. I opted for whole milk and 50% sweetness, which was perfect for me since that's usually how I order my matcha at boba shops. I also really appreciated that the sweetness didn't overpower the matcha flavor. My husband really enjoyed his vanilla latte as well. The café itself is super cute and has plenty of seating, so it would be a great spot to hang out, catch up with a friend, or get some work done. I'd definitely love to come back and try some of their other Filipino-inspired drinks the next time I'm in the area. Such a cute find, and I'm glad we made the stop!

After the group run, we all met back to enjoy a drink together! This is a super cute little boba shop, with really cool local art, decor but even a piano and books if you want to hang out. I was able to get a happy hour discount on my drink, and I chose a Zen Garden which is a jasmine milk tea with matcha layered on top, and I added lychee jelly and sea salt foam as well. This was yummy, and a nice big cup size for an iced drink. Also got a card for BOGO Drink 50% off on my next visit. The barista was quiet and reserved, not especially welcoming or personable. The menu describes the Vietnamese iced coffee as "phin filtered coffee with condensed milk," but it leaves out important details, like whether it's brewed to order or made ahead and kept in the fridge. I ordered, then used the restroom. It's well stocked, but the door has no handle, just a lock, with the handle hole covered by a piece of colored cardboard. I've been to plenty of rundown cafes and have never seen that. My coffee was ready in under two minutes, and it tasted very stale. Either it was brewed ahead and left sitting in a carafe, or it wasn't truly made with a phin. If a café can't get Vietnamese iced coffee right, I won't be back. Stale coffee, a neglected restroom, and underwhelming service.
