And when I say staff, I am speaking of the OG original employees that have stuck around through all the years of craziness, management changes etc. Wayne, for example is probably one of the best people I have ever encountered at a Starbucks. The one employee I miss here is Jas, she held this place together and it has not bern the same since she left. That was the -1 star, she was the star. I have been frequented this Starbucks for 8 years. The turnover rate has been consistent during those years, from managers to staff. The current staff is very helpful and service friendly. The manager, Ashley, runs a very customer conscience store and goes beyond her job duties to make sure her customers are happy. Her and her staff know their customers and will at times bring your order to you instead of calling out your name. Ashley and her staff have been an asset to the Starbuck corporation. read more

A Starbucks location is more or less the same anywhere you go, the big differentiating factor for me is the service. I had placed a mobile order a few minutes prior to walking in, and waited until the app told me it was ready. I didn't see my order so I asked an employee, Ashlee. I explained the situation and she very quickly dismissed me by saying, "it's not ready." Rude with no explanation and no apology for the discrepancy. I completely understand if the store is busy, but if my drink is being delayed because you want to chitchat with your coworkers and then you turn around to give me a rude response, I will be upset. I stopped here two days in a row Saturday and Sunday morning. The place was clean inside and very busy I've been a people in and out. Outside few tables were dirty the first day, second day they were OK clean. Is there were no lines when I ordered the second day and the cashier young Asian baby was very courteous and patient with me as we both wore masks and could barely hear each other ha ha ha. I ordered ice Americano small and it tasted good and strong at the beginning so I had to wait for the ice to melt a little bit. And my cup was full all the way up for those complaining about the cup not being full all the way up. Sitting outside is really loud because of the cars but as the weather heated up there was a very noisy noise coming I believe from an AC (?) on the top of both entrance doors. This has been my neighborhood Starbucks for the last 12 years and I can't tell you how many times I've walked to or driven here to get my starbies fix. Never once have I had an issue and I continue to be happy here. What's even better is their development in the online pick up department. I live less than 5 minutes away and I usually order right before I leave my house and they typically say your order will be ready in 4-6 minutes. I almost always arrive 2 minutes after arriving and it's already on the counter for me! I love the speedy service! Especially since I use to drive a little further to go to the drive thru but atleast now I can just park real quick, hop out and then grab my breakfast then head out for the day. I had the mango dragon fruit tea w/ the breakfast sandwich this week. The tea is super sweet & refreshing for these hot days creeping up and the sandwich is absolutely delicious! The croissant roll is so flakey and buttery and you can taste the smoke on the bacon. Ugh, I'm craving on rn. Keep it up starbies and I'll continue to be a broke college student. Lol read more

The impenetrable "no dogs allowed" force field of Reason and Logic pit me against the love for coffee and my dog. Wow, what a disappointing holiday weekend for my local Starbucks. Ordered three drinks in total. Had a cold brew and iced latte yesterday (we've been in the 70s in mid January). The drinks were surprisingly weak. I brought them home and added Nespresso shots to the drinks to jazz them up. Chalked it up to just maybe having too much ice added. Ordered a regular coffee this afternoon. Picked up and the coffee was lukewarm. Again, I brought home and needed to pop into the microwave and heated up for a minute. This my neighborhood Starbuck's that I typically frequent at least 2x/week. They are always sure to greet you upon entry! Not all of the SB's do...I know that sometimes they can be really busy! But here they still make sure to say hello. All of the employees are extremely friendly and helpful when it comes to exploring menu items you may not have tried yet. Anytime I've ever tried something new, whether it be a new seasonal drink, or just to try something different, if I wasn't happy with the drink, they were more than obliged to remake my usual just to have a happy customer. For awhile I was getting the caramel fraps as a summer coffee treat, but it's definitely not the most health conscience drink. And the milk hadn't been sitting to well with my stomach. After speaking with the barista about an alternative option that is sweet but waaayyy better in calories than the caramel frap, she recommended the Iced Caramel Macchiato and substituting the milk for soy (which is vanilla flavored and helps sweeten the drink), and basically less than the half the calories of the frap. Low and behold, we found my new coffee drink! I can't thank her enough for that recommendation! Now I get my coffee fix that doesn't make me feel too guilty about the calories, and my stomach is happy. For awhile when I was going there pretty often, they even remembered my name and drink which is a nice personable touch! But now with mobile order, I literally order my drink as I'm leaving my driveway, parked in their lot in under 4 min. And my drink is always ready upon arrival. Never fails. Do yourself a favor and do mobile order and save yourself some time. Parent Tip: Not available on mobile order, but in store, you can order a kids cup of whip, no charge. This is probably one of the best Starbucks in the Elk Grove area. It's not one of the biggest stores inside, but it does have a decent amount of chairs & tables outside. This location does not offer drive thru services. The service is usually fast whether I order in store or mobile. The drinks & food have been consistently correct, for me at least. The store is clean & well kept, and the staff have been helpful & kind. I have to remove one star because there was one occasion where I ordered a simple drink in line & it was somehow lost. I noticed after a few minutes that people that ordered after me, had already gotten their drinks. I had to approach them about my drink, they did apologize & I was given my drink shortly. She didn't even bother to ask if I would like anything else. Then asked me for my name again? I think she was annoyed at the fact that people were ordering multiple drinks. Please call out mobile orders when it's done. When I go in and ask for my order they say it's not done. As I am waiting for my order they're calling out other orders and setting some order aside. There has to be a better system. I end up waiting another 10 minutes for my drink because they set it aside without calling my name. Then I have to ask if my drink is done and it's sitting there. I did a mobile order and came at the time it said my order would be ready. I waited 15 extra mins in the store waiting for my order. I dont have a problem with patient especially if the place is busy.. BUT i was extremely annoyed because somehow everyone who walked in after me including walk in orders got their orders before me. I will emphasize i was the only person of color in the store. ALSO the employee at the counter asked everyone else if they had a mobile order they were waiting for BESIDES ME. Overall there should be no reason my order took 15 mins longer than the pick up time . Second of all the employees need to learn how to accommodate all customers. Never going back to this location. The staff and coffee at this location are great. No complaints about either. However, a lot of the patrons are jerkwads in the parking lot. The lot is a very tight U-shape and for some reason entitled pr*cks are attracted to it. On multiple occasions over the past 6 weeks that I've been there I've witnessed them parking in the red-curbed fire lane, which is also an oncoming traffic lane, while they go inside to fetch their drinks. Or someone sits in the vehicle while the passenger goes inside. On another occasion as I drove into the parking lot a driver in a small white car passed me on the left, causing the truck in the oncoming lane to slam on their brakes to avoid a head-on collision. Then the driver of the white car whipped a hard right in front of me, missing my front bumper by mere inches, in order to get the parking spot they wanted up close to the entrance. That said, the beverages and service are the quality I expect from Starbucks but the parking lot is pretty risky. read more

This store absolutely kills it everytime. It's disheartening how some customers treat employees working over minor inconveniences but these team members absolutely handle themselves with grace. Today they experienced a system error, and the other Starbucks shut down without notice causing floods of people. Did my drink take a little longer sure it did, but that's no fault of these team members. I hope that people can learn to slow down. Stop treating people poorly over a drink. Prices went up today. Not thrilled about that. Still it's a corporate policy and not the store. This store has played around with the layout over the last year or so and it finally has a clean look and feel that flows real nice. The customer service has become far more engaged in the experience as opposed to timing a transaction and serving a beverage. I certainly appreciate as well how the flow at the counter to the bar seems much more in synch. Never any mistakes with my drinks and they are tasting even more delicious as of late. The place is also kept much cleaner than in the past. This is the closest to my home and a go to on the weekend. I like all the positive changes.
