As someone who had worked in retail and the food service industry I get it. I get the rush, all the personalities, the stress. For that I give this location one solid star. It ain't easy to do what you do! Thank you. The second star for the operation during a National pandemic. Again, thank you! I've been by there a total of 5 times and every time I'm left unsatisfied... today, the manager (I'm assuming) was trying to correct the drive-tru woman (who was extremely nice) and he we wrong! Not to micromanage because I get it but it seemed to cause stress on the woman who was 'front line' serving... unnecessary. I also ordered a tea latte, ya know with steamed milk and I was given a tea bag.. what a disappointment, bitter overpriced tea. Ugh. In previous times I've gotten cold tea when it was suppose to be hot.. not an iced tea just a tea bag in a cup with cool water... I got the meat and cheese "tray" and it was melty? Ya know that feeling and visual when cheese or lunch meat has been sitting on the counter for an hour or two. I may not get covid from this place but I wouldn't be surprised if I got food poisoning. And no warm tea to sooth my tummy! Oh well.

All Starbucks are the same, right?? Ummm a resounding no bellows from me. This location is not like the others. The barista, Alex made my experience here one to remember. She remembered my drink after only my first visit and engaged in conversation at subsequent visits. They are very accommodating with how you like your drink and that I love. I never go through the drive thru, but that is an option here.

Literally full of ice and not all the way full. Basically paid $6 for ice.

Every time I come here , I wait in line for 10-15 minutes, longer than I ever have at any other Starbucks.

The drive through sucks. It took me 20+ minutes to get my 2 items. Consistently slow.

I actually came Thursday morning and ended up leaving because the line was long. I didn't have time to wait just to order and then wait again for food. On Friday, I did it the smarter way and ordered ahead online, then picked up from the Mad Eggs food truck in the rear, which worked out way better. I went for breakfast and ordered a scrapple, egg, and cheese biscuit ($10) and breakfast tots ($4.25). The order took about 20 minutes, which honestly wasn't bad considering how packed it was around 9:00 a.m. I even noticed people waiting in their cars before heading up to the truck, so the timing felt realistic given the volume. If I had more time, I would've waited without an issue. Food-wise, everything was good, but I had mixed feelings. The biscuit sandwich tasted fine, but for $10, I expected more. It wasn't loaded, and at that price point it just didn't quite make sense to me--I know that sounds sarcastic, but it's hard not to compare when it's a simple scrapple, egg, and cheese. The breakfast tots, on the other hand, were the better deal. I liked these a lot. The portion made more sense for the price, and I really liked that you're encouraged to customize them. That part was right up my alley. With all the topping options, I do wish they offered a sauce or gravy option (like sausage or country gravy), but even without that, this is something I'd order again and again. The coffeehouse itself is small but clean and quaint, with a few tables. Parking out front is very limited--maybe five cars--but there's more space in the back near the food truck, and there's a rear entrance, which is probably the best move. Staff was friendly and efficient, and even from inside you can tell things are run pretty smoothly. I don't drink coffee, so I can't speak to that side much, but I've had food brought home from here before by my wife and really enjoyed the matcha tea smoothie in the past. Overall, I'd definitely return. I think Rise Up does a good job in general, and I've enjoyed their Severna Park and downtown Annapolis locations before. I just expected more out of a $10 biscuit sandwich--but I'd happily come back for the tots and other menu items.

There's a small kids' area inside with tiny chairs and books, which is such a nice touch if you're coming with little ones. Outside, there's a patio space with the cutest little tree fairy house for kids to play in, which honestly makes the whole place feel a bit magical. Definitely a spot I'd come back to, whether it's for a quiet coffee break or a casual outing with my kid. Thanks for having a beautiful place for the community to come together!!

Check out the drink specials it will be worth your while to order one because can't get them year around. The pasties or good as well, just ask them to heat them up because they are cold! My only complaint is they didn't heat up our pastries and by time I sat down I don't want to get back in the long line to ask them to heat them up. Of course I could just skip the line but did I mention it's small and cramped to navigate. There is a downstairs so be sure to check it out. My tips is to order what you want, say hi to Ferguson and stay a while.

It might look tiny, but don't misjudge the coffee and other drinks they are making here! I actually went back after my first order to try another beverage, it was that good. I started with a Fall-flavored 'refresher,' though I can't honestly remember the name. But, it was amazing! I was down the strip a few shops for an event, so I popped back to The Big Bean before they closed for their "Not Ready for Winter" coffee concoction. Another winner! I also picked up a couple of biscotti for later. When we did finally get around to trying them, they were incredible! Very hard and crunchy as a biscotti should be, and perfect for soaking up some coffee for dunking. And the flavors are perfect. Other people were ordering their breakfast sandwiches, which honestly looked and smelled incredible... I just didn't have room for food that day. Or, I would have totally ordered one just based off of others' orders alone! The real five-star facet here, though, was the staff. They were very friendly and helpful, despite how busy they were. They still found time for friendly and cheerful banter while ringing everyone up. I don't think team members get enough credit when they go above and beyond, but please take the time to tip or at least acknowledge the fantastic folks here! Overall, it's a wonderful coffee shop that I wish were closer to home! And... had more parking! The number and orientation of spots here isn't ideal, but it's worth an extra walk (huge lot across the street) for the drinks, snacks, and people at The Big Bean. Outstanding overall experience!
