The Covington Starbucks MADE and SERVED a drink that they HAD TO KNOW WAS NOT MADE CORRECTLY! I ordered 2 Venti both drinks Looked wrong and tasted very Wrong. It looked nothing like the picture in the Starbucks app. It lacked any substance of eggs, cheese, bacon or sausage. There was plenty of the white undercooked potatoes in the Wrap. If you're looking to spend half an hour waiting for egg bites and an iced tea then this is the place for you! I even did mobile order but that seems to take way longer. The way everything is organized is utter chaos and it's very clear the employees have no clue what to do when there's more than like 7 people in the store. This is my experience here every time yet I still come here probably once a week if not more BECAUSE IT IS THE ONLY STARBUCKS IN MY AREA. It feels like I'm being punished just for simply wanting egg bites and green tea. This time really pushed me over the edge though because after waiting probably 15 minutes for these egg bites, they were finally ready. I was thrilled. Dear manager of this Starbucks. Why is this store so slow at service. In the drive through and Mobil orders it sometimes takes me 30 minutes to get a coffee. I have no advice for you or your employees perhaps it a corporate thing that they need to rethink the pick up drive through method. Maybe redesign your store to accommodate larger volume due to your demand. Also I would like to point out that while waiting for my coffee I was staring at the black history chalkboard on the counter with a fist with rays around it as if it was exaggerating a point. Black history month is over for one thing. The other is that it made me feel uncomfortable. It questioned my self worth and added value as a customer. I was asking myself should I be here. I have never had such awful service in a Starbucks. Anywhere. Walked in to grab some hot tea. Traveling and staying in a hotel a block away. One person in the cafe. Waited at the counter. For over 6 minutes. No one acknowledged us. No one helped us. 5 people behind the counter. One working drive thru. One possibly cleaning the bar but when I went to the other side there were half jugs of milk and steamers all over the place. Cafe was a disaster. Trash over flowing. Tables full of crumbs. Floor visibly dirty. Finally got help. The woman at the register could not have been less interested in helping us. My son wanted a chocolate croissant and kids hot chocolate. His standard order. He ordered and help out the phone to pay. Just like he always does. She looks at me and says "a kids hot chocolate is not the same as a tall hot chocolate" I replied "I know, this is his order" (he's been a gold member since he was 5....we spend a lot of time in Starbucks). She rolls her eyes and rings it up. Then we order our tea. She doesn't know what kind they have. So I walk down to the end and try to look over the counter to see. Trash. Bags. Boxes. A til just sitting on the counter in front of me. No one counting, just a drawer of money. Weird but whatever I just needed some hot tea. So they are out of the two we wanted so I guess on two others. Mom in law wanted a tall coffee. We finish ordering with more blank stares. Another younger girl materializes and hands me my venti tea. No second cup, no cardboard sleeve. I set it down immediately bc my hand is burning. My husband goes over and grabs sleeves. His tea comes out. Still standing here waiting to pay. Another girl brings my mom coffee. It was like sludge. We pay and walk down to wait for kids chocolate and croissant. And wait. And wait. Meanwhile my mom opens the lid to put milk in and there is none. Also the coffee was filled to the very top instead of room for cream. So I ask the barista to please dump some out. She ignores me. I ask louder and then ask for some milk bc nothing was out. She looks around and I see two half used jugs sitting there. She picks one up and says "oh here you can use this" I asked once again to please dump some out. She does and then turns around clearly upset over having to help us. A guy walks toward the window and I ask for the croissant. Apparently it was forgotten. Finally it comes and is burnt to a crisp. We move along outside to a table and sit. I see half the staff outside at another table chatting. One to her car to smoke (right in prime parking in a busy little strip mall). Then a kid comes whipping into the handicap space. So we watch. Clearly not needing a blue space at all as the lady who parks next to him absolutely does, she's hobbling by while he's sitting in his car). So then he gets out, goes to the other side and starts taking milk jugs into the cafe. Made three trips and then zooms out of his space almost hitting a car that came around the corner. He parked and then came back inside. This is absolutely NOT Starbucks standards. We have lived and travelled all over the world and I don't think we have EVER been in a worse Starbucks. read more

Slowest and most unorganized Starbucks I've ever been too. I hate this location but it's the only nearby location to my work! I live in Slidell and work in Covington. I will do a mobile order when I get off I-10 and get on I-12 that's generally a 20-25 minute drive...THE DRINK IS NEVER READY!!!! I will then be waiting in the lobby an additional 20 minutes!!!! I don't understand why this Starbucks has so many issues. The employees act as if they have no sense of urgency, and on of the baristas makes some of the worst drinks I've ever had!!! They do have a drive through on the backside of the building. It was very clean inside and out, and the barista was friendly. I haven't been here in a while. I started going elsewhere and have been satisfied. Today, since I was going to be right near there, I placed a mobile order. It gave me a time that it would be ready. I arrived about a minute before my order would be ready. My order was two breakfast sandwiches and two coffees (one hot and one cold). There were many cups on the counter and the customers inside were all taking turns walking up to the counter and picking up each cup to see the name on it to see if it was theirs. I did the same. After some time, a cup appeared with my name on it. Then a minute later, the two hot sandwiches appeared. We waited about 10-15 more minutes for the other coffee drink. Nothing. So, I asked. Whew. That was a mistake. I was told that different employees make different things and that they were backed up and had no idea when the other coffee would come out. So, we decided to sit at one of the tables and eat our sandwiches while they were still hot. Still waiting for the other coffee. I kept going up to check the names on the cups that were on the counter. We finished eating our sandwiches, and still no coffee. Finally, the coffee came, more than thirty minutes afterwards. That is ridiculous to put out three of the four items and not wait to put them all out together. Had we waited to eat until we got the second coffee, the sandwiches would have been cold. The coffee tasted weird and just not good. The other one was fine. This one had a sour milk taste. This place cannot handle the volume. Also, I needed some sweetener packets for my coffee and there is nothing out. You have to wait to ask an employee behind the counter to get it for you. I won't be making the mistake of going to Starbucks again when I've found something much better. read more

It's a Starbucks in the perfect environment, at one of the entrances to a corporate park that crowns the front of an upscale subdivision. There are a few tables outside and more tables inside. And for those n a hurry or antisocial, there is a drive thru. The staff is friendly and quite efficient. The store is clean, and you are soothed by the ever present wooden decor. Had the door locked in my face tonight by Storm and her rude assistant who refused to give her name. It was a very humiliating experience. Hope their management will review the video footage. They closed at 9 and I made it to the door a minute before, but saw them running to the front to lock it as I was walking up. I've had excellent service up until my experience tonight. If you're on the Northshore, this is the best 'Bucks to go to. Kinda small and not much seating, but always pretty clean. Friendly staff, too. It is hard to see it from Rt 190; it's set pretty far back from the street. I have to keep an eye out for Regions bank every time I go there, or I'll still drive right past the turn. read more

After living in 3 different states I find myself in Covington LA now. Honestly, I have to say that this is the worst StarBucks I have ever been to and it shows no signs of improving. Multiple times I have been here and been greeted with attitude and long extremely long wait times. (for the readers: in Covington there are only 2 StarBucks this one and the other is in a target on HWY 21 I think) I have tolerated the hit or miss customer service from this establishment until now. I would much rather purchase a cappuccino machine and wake up earlier to make my own beverage than come here and spend my hard earned money and be ill treated simply for convenience. Do not spend your money here. Go somewhere else maybe to Mandeville's StarBucks or PJ's (of you like there coffee). Friendly staff... fast service! Typical Starbucks... nice and clean inside, high vaulted ceilings at this location. However, as a visitor -- it was extremely hard for me to find this location off the road. And there are fewer tables and chairs inside (my perception), and they were all occupied. I don't typically review well known places in which the population at large has visited at some point in their lifetime, but I was impressed with this particular Starbuck's setup so I figured I would put the word on the street. This should be the flagship Starbucks store that is responsible for training all of the other Starbucks' stores. The staff here really seems to enjoy their jobs. There was at least 6 - 8 staff cranking out orders at any given moment from the main line, phone orders and the drive thru. I have no idea how they were communicating or who was doing what even though I was actually trying to figure out their system. Most of staff wore earpiece headsets and reminded me of motivational speakers or fitness instructors. Some of them were singing and jumping around. Basically the sad and downtrodden need not apply here! I finally got wise to using their drive thru service. For days I had seen the line wrapped around the block so I avoided it but one morning there were only 4 cars in line and I figured it might take 8 - 12 minutes to get my order (I was in a bit of a rush so I had to calculate the cost/benefit of stopping for some hot chocolate on the way to the office). It took approx 5 minutes to get my drink so I was pleasantly surprised. read more
