This location is reliable. I always get my coffee exactly as specified and with a smile. However I wish they could do something about the queue. I always feel like I'm in the way even when I'm not doing anything because of how awkwardly the line is positioned - it's in the way of people leaving the bathroom or after they get their coffee. It's the only criticism I have. Otherwise, this place is perfect. read more

Always a great visit here! Had a Sunsera blonde roast coffee with whole milk, heavy cream, and cinnamon! One of my favorite locations. Love the downtown Claremont area. I love the Starbucks in Claremont Village problem is it's not big enough because it's the college town is often very very busy but once you get to the front of the line, the coffees selection is delicious and the food is great. The employees are always helpful and friendly Wi-Fi is a little hard to sign up for, but thank you for not replacing real people with robots or AI. read more

The most best experience ever here! I walked in here just ready for the day to be over but chesleigh which I believe was the baristas name, as soon as she greeted me as she was about to take my order I instantly felt a warm welcome. She wasn't filled with those fake energy baristas have, she was just herself, nice and genuine. I was disappointed to learn that this café only provides water or restroom access if you make a purchase. I understand this is a private business, and I recognize the challenges of being in a city with lots of high school and college students as well as people seeking shelter. But at the end of the day, water and restrooms are basic human needs. It feels unreasonable to deny something as simple as a glass of water unless someone spends money first. Policies like this may protect the business in some ways, but they also chip away at hospitality and compassion -- values you'd hope to find in a neighborhood café. This isn't a reflection on the staff, who are just doing their jobs, but I do think the policy deserves rethinking. Sometimes what keeps customers coming back is not just the coffee, but the sense of humanity and care behind the counter. read more

I can't believe how messed up my experience at Starbucks was. I simply asked for a glass of water, and they outright denied me--no explanation, no courtesy, just a flat-out no. It's honestly baffling that in a place that's supposed to serve customers, basic needs like water are seen as an inconvenience. How will homeless people survive in this heat. They asked if we were going to purchase something. Yes, I understand the economy is tough, but that doesn't justify ignoring customer basics or being so dismissive. This location offers both indoor and outdoor seating. You can also order ahead on the app for pick-up at this location. So far, my mobile orders have always been on time. This store has also been relatively clean every time that I have visited, which is a plus. As of today, I did see that this location has the new Valentine's Day themed cups and tumblers that were released yesterday. I've been a customer of this Starbucks since my college days and I had a nostalgic visit this past weekend while in DT Claremont for lunch. It's centrally located next to the Claremont colleges and has plenty of parking along the streets. I appreciate the patio in front to enjoy your drinks outside and there's some tables inside as well. They have public restrooms available and they keep this location fairly clean. I was a little bummed when I ordered a passion fruit iced tea and the barista accidentally made a peach iced tea, but mistakes happen and she quickly replaced it and gave me the peach tea to pass along to another customer. I appreciate that they fixed the situation. A great location that I would recommend to others! read more

A cozy little Starbucks (regular size store) in the heart of Claremont. People there ordering including the baristas seem more friendly compared to the other more busy locations. Plenty of outside seating on a warm sunny day in the outskirts of Los Angeles County. In a predominantly residential community, next door to a Wells Fargo Bank, everyone seems to know each other, or maybe adapting to the coffee culture. I ordered the Pistachio Latte which was perfectly prepared. Nice and hot as the barista prepared it. Well mixed and to the point. Not my first time coming here, but each time was a good experience! After reading the one star review of a previous customer at this location who was denied a glass of water I should not be surprised. They have now changed their restroom policy. Unless you make a purchase you can't use the restroom. I have run into this in big city urban areas with crime and drug use etc., but not in the Claremont Village. I have been a good Starbucks customer for literally decades. I have spent hundreds of dollars there over the years, starting in Seattle. I am a long time customer there if I make a purchase that day or not. With what they charge anymore for a simple coffee they have enormous nerve treating patrons in this manner. Slow, but limited staff so it is fine. The shop itself is a normal starbucks and has plenty of seats to sit down in, an enjoyable place to hang put with in a group. The food is like the average starbucks. The staff have normal customer service. read more

I picked out the basic venti iced coffee, four pumps of sugar, and a splash of almond milk. The drink looked too milky and I thought I would have to request it to be remade. Had a good experience here. Staff was friendly and store was clean with plenty of walking space. Waiting area for orders was small but ample enough given they are quick to deliver your drink order. Will be coming back here for my next Starbucks drink given that they are open. As I left I noticed their business hours are not ideal. Despite the posted hours online stating open until 8pm or later, I have consistently found them to be closed by 7pm when trying to get an evening hot tea after work. Service is good and quality is good. Just wish their parking situation was better; just another reason to ride my bike but again, no where to park my bike outside to keep it safe. read more

However, when I asked for sleeves because my drinks were hot, I got the worst attitude from the girl who was putting the drinks out. I asked her nicely if I could have sleeves and she replied back with an attitude, "we don't have any" that also came with a sour face and a look of you're bugging me. Yesterday on 11/25/2024 at around 7:00 pm me and my friend went to this Starbucks to use the restroom. I must add that we always come to this restroom to use the restroom and order drinks. However, this time was different and unpleasant. We both decided to go in the restroom together because we both had to use it and the restroom is a one stall, handicap, all gender restroom. We were only in there for 2 seconds before the worker banged aggressively on the door and then when we opened the door he yelled "1 PERSON AT A TIME" I quickly left the restroom because I was uncomfortable and we left. We have been here before and used the restroom and all of a sudden there is a policy (Maybe its just for black people who knows). I'm okay with following the rules but he didn't have to bang on the door and yell at us, we didn't know and there was no sign. I dont know the name of the guy who was working because I was too scared too ask but whoever was working 11/25/2024 around 7:00 pm needs to learn to speak to others, not cool wont come here again ! read more

Clerk serves us and then another completely rude asshat yells 1-min warning I'm locking the door. You need to get out. Took our money. Stopped by at this Starbucks before my hair appointment today. This location is great. There's a lot of parking spots.. If you can find one. The interior isn't as inviting as most Starbucks are. The patio area is very small, but if you can find a seat it's really quiet and relaxing. The service also isn't top notch and they don't really focus on the customers. They're a bit too into talking amongst themselves. Drink quality is fine. Tastes as it should. I'd still stop by if I were in the area and needed my Starbucks fix. read more
