I try to avoid this location due to past experiences, but I decided to give it another chance today. Unfortunately, my visit didn't go well. When I arrived at the drive-thru, I waited for a while and began to wonder if they were closed. I pulled thru the window where they hand your order and I noticed people inside, some still wearing headset, some even looked at me and although I waved, still I didn't receive any acknowledgment or courtesy or kindness. If they were indeed closed, it would have been helpful for them to communicate that even without opening the window. After a long bad day, I was really looking forward to enjoying a Starbucks drink, so being ignored and made feel like a fool was quite disappointing. Went in and politely asked for a clover vertica iced coffee. The old lady barista taking my order apparently had no idea what I was asking for even though it's on their menu (it's a new item not available in all Starbucks yet,) So assuming she didn't know I asked if they had the machine yet (clover vertica machine) to which she replied with a long drawn out, hard to follow, explanation of how they make iced coffee from the machine then it is cooled. (She wasn't willing to listen and arrogantly assumed I was dumb and asking irrelevant questions.) I ended up with a regular iced coffee, so I assumed they just didn't have the machine and the lady gave me that because she hadn't heard of it yet. I looked up their menu while doing office work out of curiosity and sure enough they do offer it at that location. If i wasn't meeting a customer there today I would've scolded her for assuming what I wanted without asking me to repeat myself. It is this arrogance towards customers in customer service roles that disgusts me. I understand, we're all busy, and there are a lot of customers. But we are all human and we need to take the time do our due diligence and ask what people are asking if we do not understand it. The old lady even had the audacity to say to "choose a number in the screen and sign," when the payment terminal had processed my payment, she was implying I should tip her something and sign. I looked her dead in her eyes and hit zero so at least I got to do that. I am a young man but I have 13 years of management experience at a corporation in home building, and I would absolutely work on retraining her if I were her manager and noticed this behavior. I don't care about your age or my appearance treat me with respect and ensure I am getting my questions answered within reason, and I'm happy. read more

Quiet and not a lot of people studying on a Saturday. Some of the employees were friendly except for the guy who took my order, he looked impatient and didn't want to answer questions. I wasn't sure about their new Pistachio latte so I asked about it. He didn't give much help nor ask me what kind of milk I wanted. I realized after my order that I forgot to ask for a non-dairy. But it was too late bc the other barista already made it. So I just drank it. But had the guy at the register ask it would've helped. I used to work at Starbucks and it was nothing compared to this location. The stores atmosphere is incredible and Abby was awesome. She steered me away from the apple crisp latte and I'm really glad she did. She felt bad for steering me away and was kind enough to give me a sample, safe to say the drink tasted worse than a candle. Long over do review of Starbucks on Madison and Sunrise. The location is convenient however, there is no drive thru. Parking is fairly good with outdoor seating. The coffee is always consistent and the customer service is always outstanding. I usually get the soy latte on ice when the weather is sunny. When it is cloudy I get it hot... I also love the variety of coffees you can taste on the spot. They have wi fi and usually a free Sacramento Bee paper available if you want to read. This Starbucks does close around 8:30 p.m. so if you like a late pick me up you will need to drive down to Madison and Fair oaks. read more

It's a nice new facility (I think it opened a few months ago, I pass by everyday at work). The primary concern is that they are extremely slow to serve inside. I stop here 2-3 times a week and there is a minimal staff here so everyone seems to always be doing something else. No one is ever at the register waiting to take an order and it typically takes 3-5 minutes for someone to realize customers are waiting in line and will take an order. The problem is this Starbucks in particular has jacked my order up for the third time. And just like the last three times I didn't notice until i was to far away and I don't have time to go back. Walked right in at 7:15am, no line. Cashier was very friendly and made me feel welcome. Ordered tall black coffee. (Note: You save 10¢ if you bring your own mug) Sat down in the comfy leather chair, read my book, drank my coffee and watched the organized chaos of the staff run their morning routine. Everybody that walked through that door, got a friendly smile and a "Morning!" The frequent customers of the store got their "Morning! (Followed by their name) and your usual?" The music was at an appropriate level to the point where if I wanted to listen, I just had to stop what I was doing, but it wasn't a distraction to my reading. Parking was an ease, seeing that other stores weren't quite open yet. I can assume it is a chaotic trying to find parking when all the stores are open at once. I love Starbucks just as much as the next person but this location is pretty tiny! A friend and I stopped by to grab a drink before we went ice skating in Folsom. The business was very clean and put together. Everything was in order and all the holiday cups, gift cards and specials were displayed beautifully. The drinks were great! The same quality you get at every Starbucks. I ordered a Peppermint Hot Chocolate which was good. I like a lot of peppermint but no matter how many pumps of peppermint syrup, it just isn't peppermint-y enough. My friend ordered a cider drink that he enjoyed. They even gave us a free drink because it was an extra. It was a hot caramel drink, I don't really remember the name of it but it was really good. I thought that was very nice but it was so hard to consume 3 drinks between the two of us. The service was excellent. I would give the girls at the front 5 stars! I loved how smiley and welcoming they were. They even had sparkley eyeshadow on and green bows in their hair. They know how to get into the holiday spirit! The reason why this place gets 3 stars is because it's small, doesn't have a drive-thru and the location is a little wonky. Starbucks is the only place that I can do my homework or do some work of my computer The music is amazing love this place I would like to say that This place is amazing. I like this particular location Starbucks. It has lots and lots of room inside dining area. There are very comfortable Chairs, and very comfortable tables. It's a very cozy place either to answer your business emails or to do your college homework. They do have wifi for free and I would say it's pretty fast. There is also plenty parking space and it's very clean and I would say it's safe. Their bathrooms are very clean. If you are dining in their coffee is with free refills. The passion tea is very good. Their deserts are pretty pricey but they are delicious. My favorite thing to get is hot white mocha 120 degrees with barely wormed up chocolate cookie. The reason I get that chocolate cookie barely warmed up is because if they will heat up that cookie to their usual temperature, my hands will be covered I. Chocolate.I can't wait till the winter time. They will have my favorite winter drink is caramel brûlée latte with cranberry bliss bars.
