The employee helping me this morning came across as completely uninterested and lacked basic customer service skills. I still left a 15% tip, but honestly, I don't think I should have. Tipping shouldn't be automatic. It should reflect the service you receive. It's also a bit overpriced. Two burritos and two black coffees came to about $50 after a 15% tip, which feels excessive. I won't tip next time unless I actually receive good customer service, assuming I decide to come back. Without the quality of the food, this rating would have been even lower because of the price and the service I experienced this morning. If I had been helped by someone with a friendlier attitude, it would have made a big difference. With better customer service, I'd say the current 3.8-star overall rating is fair.

I got the village veggie, with no cream cheese, but thinking back.. that would probably even make the sandwich more epic, it hit all the right spots. It was flavorful and delivered very well. - my buddy got some kind of chicken sandwich that he said was amazing as well. As someone who is bipolar and been homeless before, I always pass along my leftovers to one of the homeless that hangs out in the park. I came up to him today with a cup of tea, and he asked if I could get him a cup of coffee. I said sure, it's 2 dollars that I can spend on someone in a similar situation that I have been in myself before. I came out with a cup of coffee for him, he was standing by the bar down the street. He requested milk and sugar. I didn't want to touch the cup he was holding so I said okay. The girl at the register was happy to give me an extra cup for milk and sugar. I filled it and was cornered when I was exiting. She was fuming, flustered saying that refills aren't free. How dare I take free refills from the shop before. I apologetically expressed I can pay for a second cup of coffee. She didn't back down. She verbally berated me in front of EVERYONE and it was an awful experience. I've been homeless myself but I've never looked it. This is unacceptable behavior and very ableist. I will still come by, but I wanted to warn others that this place is very discriminatory against the disabled homeless population and I do not want to be a part of this kind of energy.

I liked my lavender iced latte and like the fact that they serve it in a large mug if you plan to drink it at the cafe, it had that extra, comforting touch that I love when hanging at a coffee shop. The room we sat in had a beautiful cherry tree draped in cherry blossoms as well as a cute neon sign, perfect for pics, as well as comfy chairs, a love seat and a table as well as a large window that brought in plenty of sunlight. There's another room on the left side of the cafe but I didn't have a chance to check it out since we left to get lunch at Belly. According to my friend, the room is gorgeous as well; I'll have to check it out next time I visit. They had a lot of scrumptious-looking dessert but they were a little out of my budget. They're beautiful though, and I'd try one for a special occasion (the coffee bean dessert cost $20). The cashier (owner, I'm guessing?) was welcoming and helpful when I said it was my 1st time there and pointed out a list of specials. I'll have to try the cherry blossom and banana drinks in the future! They have private shared parking with a bunch of other businesses; I found a spot easily on a recent Saturday morning. Thank you!

The cappuccino was OK, I asked for more milk and it was definitely not prepared the way I ordered it. It was made with more espresso than milk and foam. The chocolate donut was not good. My son took 3 small bites and never finished the rest. The barista that was taking orders was rude but there were 2 other baristas handing out drink orders that were very nice. I do wish I had ordered my items "to go" because it took awhile to find a spot to sit. I wouldn't say it was busy but there was a lot of people studying and working at this location so almost all tables were occupied by the same people the entire time I was there. I do like that you can get your coffee in a mug but I wanted to leave after I realized I'd have to wait for a table to free up. It was very quiet at this location (since pretty much everyone was working/studying) so I felt a bit awkward being there with my young child.
