I am 100% supportive of local, family-owned coffee shops in Chicago. However, I have to give a yelp review of this Starbucks in particular as it stands out from the other Starbucks I have been to. I recently just moved down the street and began walking to this Starbucks out of mere convenience (again, usually not a fan of chains), but the staff here is wonderful! Everyone who works here is so friendly and kind, they really make this Starbucks a great place to stay for a few hours for cozying up to a book, catching up with a friend, or cramming for a test! This may be the slowest starbucks in the city. The employees seem to move slow deliberately as if they actually want to tick off the customers. If you walk in and see a line of 4 people or more, just walk out. You will be in there for at least 20 minutes before you receive your drink Great patio though, if you can ever get your coffee drink to actually sit out there and enjoy it. read more

Sausage Biscuit with cheese - NO EGG. 90% of the time it comes with egg - were in the car and my son is allergic to egg, its his sandwich! garbage! i've emailed corporate and received 10+ free coffee and sandwich's but i'm at a new level. Melvin Udall would lose his mind in this place. Cramped would be an understatement. It's Starbucks... nothing different that any other location really other than the neighborhood that its in. It isn't the coffee with SB's, its pretty much the layout that makes each location. Thank God for the patio. That was the saving grace. It sure isn't the coffee... Yeah, I went there. Grande caramel macchiato, please! I just had to give props to my neighborhood Starbucks. I enjoy the staff - they all seem very cool. This Starbucks has a great set up - inside is really spacious and cozy and they have a large outdoor space surrounded by green and beautiful Logan Boulevard. Great place to meet for coffee and it's usually pretty easy to get parking. We all know what the coffee tastes like, right? ;o) See you tomorrow! read more

I like this Starbucks. The service is usually very fast, and they have a cool "play" starbucks counter for the kids in the backroom. Parking is usually pretty easy, just be careful not to idle in the bus stop zone. read more

Yes, all the hiptrendies will rag it because it's Starbucks, but I have to compliment the staff for doing an exceptional job. Quality is pretty uniform because it's a chain, but the staff are very friendly and helpful without the Stepford edge. One thing that will earn ire with the locals and CTA bus drivers, though, is that people tend to park in the southbound bus stop across the street to just "run in for a coffee". Grrr... read more

This Starbucks is in a great location and has an awesome seating area outside! By far my favorite Starbucks. HOWEVER, some of the baristas have weird attitudes. It's a rude hipster smugness. Hard to explain, but doesn't fit within the Starbucks frame of customer service. This location automatically sweetens ice coffee. So if you order iced coffee but don't want it sweetened then you have to say so. But watch them make it, because sometimes they habitually put the syrup in it....(then give you a hipster attitude when you tell them it wasn't made correctly). Also, this location usually has a long line OR you have to wait a long time for your order! Which is rather annoying when all I order is either drip or iced coffee. read more

I love the staff at this location. They all know me and really care about the people that come in every day. My problem is with Starbucks Corporation. They treat these people very poorly. From not giving them hours or days during the renovation. And now they are pushing the old staff out and are making it very difficult for the part time employees. Most times, when I want real coffee (or even just an iced chai latte that doesn't taste like ash) brewed faster and cheaper, I go to Letiizia's down the street. If i could eat gluten (ie: cookies, muffins, and paninis), it'd be even more impetus for me to go to the Letizia's down the street. Most times, I wonder how this place would even stay open, if not for name recognition, with Letizia's down the street. However, "most times" is not "all the time", and sometimes, a girl just wants a dang caramel frappuccino. Beautiful location right on Logan Blvd, with a spacious, breezy patio and lawn and a fair amount of interior seating. The service is spotty, but they're nice enough, and what they do, they do fairly well. Most of the time, I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but if the better coffeeshops in the area ever all close down or turn slow and unpalatable, it's comforting to know there's at least a pleasant alternative. read more

This is the Cool Kids Club™ on California Starbucks. It's special because it's a neighborhood staple, like your nearby home Starbucks. The baristas here are are funny and always in a good mood. If they're not, tell them to cheer up. The whole place itself is a lot like an apartment in New York or Seattle or Boston that you dream of having when you grow up and go off to college out of state and get a place with your friends. I believe this Starbucks earned its stars fair and square, like Logan Square if I had to choose one Starbucks over all others in the city, it would be this one. I come to this location out of necessity if I could avoid it altogether I would. I order through the app so I don't have to wait because theoretically if you order 10 minutes before you arrive your drink should be ready when you get there. On the off chance that your drink is actually ready when you get there then the hard part is to get them to acknowledge you when you're standing at the counter. So you have to interrupt them or get their attention and they act annoyed that you're bothering them. Yesterday I ordered a drink on the app and it took just about 15 minutes. There was only four people in line, my drink wasn't made until they made everyone in lines drinks. Even though I ordered mobile it would've been quicker for me to just hop in the line. If they're so opposed to doing mobile orders, or just can't figure out the pace maybe they shouldn't be doing them until they're better trained. read more

One of my fave Starbucks. I come here at least once a week by myself or with family and friends. Use of space could be better, but a few of the baristas are simply awesome and can make a decent latte. Friendly staff especially the barista today and unlimited fast, free wifi! No issues parking on the street, but signs do show no parking from 4-6 pm. I'm sitting in here now, and it's freezing since the space is small and whenever the door opens, the 30 degrees chill sweeps the room. There is a counter with about 6 seats, 4 small tables for 2, and 2 couches in the corner. Based on reviews here, there should be passage to another room that maybe I'll stick my head to check out when I leave. I came here with the intent to study, but this is seems more suited as a meet-up place or grabbing drinks to go. Both the crowd and music is louder than I'm used to in a coffee shop. Unfortunately, cramped space and uncomfortable pub-style seating doesn't appeal to me. read more

Not many people know I emit a pheromone that causes baristas to become deaf to my order. Any 'bucks I've ever gone to will at some point not have my order in the queue even when the register clearly hollers it out to them along with every other order. My order is so simple and to the point that I'm pretty sure it's something in my chemical makeup that makes drinks like "double espresso" and "tall americano" go unheard or simply become too complicated that they don't even bother with it. This order is in between other peoples monstrosities like half-skim, half-whole, splash of soy decaf latte with a drop of vanilla syrup. Drinks that only cretinous individuals with no sense of decency have the nerve to order. The mistake will only happen once at each store. I don't have to say anything about the mistake because my "how did you skip such a simple f***ing order" stare or an unbelievably irritating and douchey "how's that tall Americano comin' chief (I never use that word)" comment keeps them from ever ignoring my order again. They probably wanna punch me after comments like that but if they didn't forget my drink, the one that takes the single push of a button, then I wouldn't have to make snide remarks. This store has never, ever skipped my order so kudos to you Logan Square Starbucks. You could spit in my drink but dammit you never skip my simple, simple order. This place is a small grab and go location so don't expect to be able to sit anywhere except the patio during the warmer months. read more

I come here often because it's fairly conveniently located and I'm a sucker for a good vanilla latte. But I've never encountered a Starbucks that is so poorly stocked. They ran out of mocha, which was ridiculous if they are being properly managed and keeping proper stock of their inventory. Once may have been a fluke, but a few weeks later, a worker exclaimed she might have to check if they had mocha in stock, but then realized they had some left. What?? I'd like to thank the nice, cute, little gay barista boy there on Sunday. I left my Panda umbrella there and he saved it from being stolen. I also had a great soy latte drink that was just a little over $3.00 and with all my special instructions with the honey carried out perfectly. This place sucks. I worked as a barista for 4 years at a very busy cafe and I find the speed and level of service here to be appalling at best. Today I was the only customer in line which is a rare occurrence here. I ordered an iced coffee (nothing fancy, or time-consuming) and proceeded to stand at the end of the bar waiting for my drink while the 3 employees sang songs with each other, leaned against the counter, and ignored me. One person, waiting on one simple drink, 3 employees. Totally blowing it. Eventually after staring at them I was finally asked what I ordered which is hilarious since I was asked what my name is to write on the cup, and the person taking my order already seemed to have forgotten I was in the building. I think this place is involved in a secret long-term performance art piece where they try to see how far they can go to blow the minds of their audience (err customers) by providing a consistently surreally-bad customer service experience and make them feel like ghosts in the world of the living. If my theory is correct, then someone should come and award the greatest actors of all time with the highest honors available. read more

This is one of my favorite Starbucks ever! My online order is always ready, I get greeted when I walk into the store, and all employees are always so nice! Place is clean and love the location. There is always parking in the front which is nice since it doesn't have a drive thru and for me if there is no drive thru I tend to boycott the location but I seriously love this one! read more
