The staff here are amazing especially mari i believe her name is Ive worked at a few starbucks in different locations and man this girl is the best she always on top of everything shes super friendly and kind. You can tell it's genuine she knows peoples names, remembers the mini stories shes had with guests before. Starbucks essentially sells one thing: water. They sell hot water (they call this coffee), they sell iced water (they call this a frappacino), and they sell room temperature water (they call this smart water). It's incredible that they've managed to build a multibillion-dollar business with this model. It shows you the power of good marketing, as they do have one of the best logos in the history of corporations. Starbucks deserves some credit for helping to bring European coffee culture to America, but now that there are so many great independent coffee shops everywhere, why would you ever go to Starbucks? It's not as good as the independent shops and usually just as expensive. I've watched a Starbucks worker take out a pre-made pastry from a plastic wrap and place it in a nicer bag to make it look more authentic. Starbucks coffee is as soulless as it is flavorless. Waited 20 minutes for a tall caramel macchiato and there was 5 employees on the floor girls on hot bar were talking non stop instead of making drinks if your backed up on mobile orders you should be focused on the drinks no musical songs to talk about. girl on oven put the tongs in the garbage when throwing away paper and proceeded to cook more food with it hair was also not properly kept up in a pony tail and when my name was called for the drink I could barely hear her call it 10am 4/19/26 and one of the bars were not even being used while one employee just sat there talking and orders just kept printing and nothing was being done to keep a good pace read more

I don't get it. They just redesigned this Starbucks because it was pretty tired looking and dirty and they did a terrible job. It's not clear where to lineup. It's not clear where the garbage is. A spare of the moment visit to this Starbucks location while driving nearby the Illinois Centennial Memorial Column. Thanks to Yelp for assisting me with identifying it as the nearest location because I just had to have my Starbucks fix, if you know what I mean, hehe. At this location your options for parking are within the neighborhood or along N California Ave which can be a hit-or-miss I imagine depending on the time of the day you visit. Keep in mind that there are other businesses along N California Ave prior to your consideration of this location. What caught my eye while walking up towards this location are its social distancing markers outside of the door, as well as inside. Covid-19 has been a real game changer for places like Starbucks. I have to say it because for the first time ever I entered an empty location with no customer chatter or customers lounging around. Pretty much a shell of what it was, but I can always count on encountering that bubbly barista behind the counter. Not sure if it is just this location or Starbucks locations worldwide, but I admired that the baristas wore masks, as like the customers are required to while visiting. As for my order, I did contemplate ordering a caramel macchiato, but ended up ordering a cinnamon dolce latte which has been my go to drink for years. That taste is always something my taste buds yearn for. Yum! And it keeps me wired up for hours to come. I had the biggest grin on my face after taking a sip of my grande cinnamon dolce latte. Yes indeed my Starbucks fix has been satisfied! I enjoyed the interaction with the baristas prior to ordering and as I waited for my latte. Overcrowded, disorganized staff, poor direction to customers, rude employee directing customers and making them feel scolded for not knowing where the line started. Also a double wait time from estimated mobile pickup on more than one occasion. Corporate needs to pay more attention to what this little storefront can handle for all that it's trying to accomplish with mobile orders, Uber orders and normal orders all at once during COVID -- especially when it's too cold to wait outside. Never have I been to a Starbucks and have been treated like total crap. After my dog passed a medvet j decided to grab a coffee to wake up and get back into reality. This barista Paul , didn't even say good morning , upon giving him my order he had this really big inappropriate attitude. He rushed my order and asked what is was that I wanted rolling his eyes. I simply walked away and went to the next barista Peter who had no issue taking my order , understanding me, and politely said have a great day. Now another woman walked in , attitude changed, very happy and was joking around with her. So my question is was I not good enough because of my skin color, is my money not green enough? I come here to work and sometimes never order anything and the staff don't care or say anything Which is cool. The only thing I've had is the hazelnut frappucinno. They are fast with your order, quick to make any changes, and really friendly! I come here almost every Sunday morning, and it's been consistent and good. There is actually an entire section on the left that no one really sits in, and that's a little weird. But if you are looking for a more quiet section, just know that it's there. Definitely order ahead of time for this location - it's quite busy. Bonuses include sometimes seeing doggos out front. Today, we ordered 2 trenta Passion Iced Tea lemonades and in my boyfriend's drink, at the bottom of the cup we found what seemed to be a cap from the juice. Starbucks my old nemesis... It's been awhile! Met up with a friend here and I see why I never bothered to stop by this place. Inside is the same inconvenient small hipster atmosphere we've come to know and hate in Logan Square. Why it's thing to open a store barely large enough to fit 8 people comfortably I have no clue. Furniture seems to be proportional to size as well as every piece of furniture seemed to fit only the wafer thin, slender body of a skinny jean clad hipster which makes a linebacker sized guy like me feel silly and clearly uncomfortable sitting here. The furniture all seemed pretty cheap which is surprising since in the Logan Square area cheap usually means "hand-made from recycled materials", but these were clearly cheap mass produced pieces. A lot of people seemed to already know the deal. They quickly walk in, get their order and take it home instead of trying to find a place to sit. Because they do this, the place seems to be not busy (although from what I see they aren't that busy compared to most Starbucks), but people streamed in and out at a decent pace. There's only street parking, but since this place isn't that busy and people ride bikes or walk a lot around here there's plenty of parks. There's a decent sized outdoor area as well, but again everything is small and cheap. One table umbrella was itching to be knocked down by the wind the entire hour I was outside, prompting the people sitting under it to move away quickly. Prices are still set to "wallet gouging" as usual with Starbucks. Chai Tea I had was pretty sweet, but mostly just sugar water, they didn't let it brew long enough. This place is not that far away from some great Mexican places and if you're a little more adventurous, Phat Rice. Skip the coffee and enjoy a great meal instead! 3/5 Stars read more

With a good location on the corner of California Ave and Logan Blvd, this Starbucks catches the eye of coffee seekers driving by. In addition to the location, there is a nice patio in front for when the weather is warmer, which we Chicagoans know is not a very long season. Alright, enough talking them up. I strolled in on a Saturday around 4 PM. Three total lonely pastries in the display starred at me, begging to be put out of their misery. I couldn't do it. Single random disheveled pastries are not usually desirable. Also, I think someone was running a day care business out of the back room near the bathroom. I had to obstacle course it over some children to make it over to the bathroom line. I may of accidentally taken a few out on the way. Hey, when you gotta go, you gotta go. I knew there was a reason I hated Starbucks, and after going to this Starbucks I'm only reminded of why I hate this chain. First, not a single Starbucks is ever different from another. At least differentiate your stores regionally PLEASE! I mean even McDonald's is creative enough to do this, I'm sure you can take some time to change up the store a bit. OK, I LOVE this Starbucks. This is the one that I call "my Starbucks" because it's right across the street from my house and it's awesome. I typically only come here before 9 a.m. (and 7:00 a.m. during the school year) and the staff are always super friendly. Since I come here every day, they know my name and what I order... no time wasting here! I always feel like this is a super friendly place and the staff are super efficient. What more can I say? However...even though the staff is always super friendly, upbeat, and helpful, there is always a long wait (mobile and in store) in the mornings, and they run out of so many items. But today I came here because it was the closest to my location and I am glad I did. The staff here is very friendly, made me feel warm and welcomed as soon as I entered the door. This Starbucks is fine, lots of seating, but you cannot get coffee in your Lattes here. 5 or 6 times (every time) when my girlfriend or I ordered a Latte or Iced Latte it would be almost all milk. Mmmm, milk! No wait, I came for coffee. Knowing of their tendencies there, last time I specifically requested more coffee than they usually add. Then I watched the Cashierista turn to the Barista and ask for an Iced Latte, no instructions given. Low and behold, it was an iced milk with coffee coloring. They fixed it afterwards and everything. I'm just saying: watch out for too much milk. I guess the quantity of espresso shots is probably well regulated for each latte size, but I just thought it tasted lame. read more

Love my little neighborhood Starbucks. Great people behind the coffee bar! They're usually pretty fast, unless someone's sick or the air goes out (happened recently w/ the rain & weather issues), but they let you know right away so you they can set expectations. Hands down, they have the best outdoor patio of the ones I have frequented. It's kid and puppy friendly outside. The only downfall is that it's at a weird light at Logan & California. This is probably the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. I have two jobs, and this is the one closest to my twice a week, part time job and sometimes, I consider driving completely out of my way to find another. And this Starbucks is only 2 blocks from my job. There are always about 20 people behind the counter, with only 3 people doing any actual work. They're friendly enough, but I've worked for Starbucks and there's no way anyone should have to wait more than 3 minutes for coffee when there is no line behind them. No matter how early I get there before the start of my shift, I have to end up rushing to get to work on time because it's taken forever and a day for someone to remember to pour my coffee. In the six years I've lived in Logan Square, I've rarely been to this Starbucks because of the proliferation of coffeehouses around the neighborhood. However, thanks to Starbucks app, I like going to one because I can pay easily, no fuss no muss. This is especially helpful when you've got a stroller and a two month old infant. Lately, my visits here have been with my two month old infant for early morning iced tea pick me ups and my favorite spinach and feta wrap. The staff is nice and the location is great with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It's a solid Starbucks to get a quick caffeine fix or to let my infant do a stroller nap while I read the paper. It's location is perfect for our little circle around the neighborhood to walk on the boulevard and marvel at the pretty old houses. read more
