    Cake pops
    Alycia A.

This review is for the cake pops only. I don't drink coffee, the last time I was in a Starbucks was about five years ago. I came for the cake pops because someone told me they are great and this particular Starbucks was a few doors down from where my child was getting a hair cut. Staff was exceptionally friendly so that was nice. They had several flavors of cake pops, we chose the chocolate ones, they were SO Delicious! Very moist not too big or too small and were not too sweet either, perfect treat for a toddler! We will definitely be back again when we are in the area. They have a drive-thru and a small patio seating area at the entrance of the store. Inside the store is average size with some tables and chairs. The only negative thing that stood out to me is that the trash can was over flowing. If I had a piece to trash to throw away, I would have had to take it with me as the trash was literally falling out of the can onto the sidewalk.

This is what they gave us when we asked for no ice... cup filled 1/3...

We paid almost $13 for two drinks filled 1/3 of the way up. They said this is what you get with no ice. Considering we have ordered the same drink from this and other Starbucks locations filled up all the way, we were disappointed. We think they only made one drink because they were really busy today. They also are don't seem to be a fan of mobile orders.

This wasn't my favorite Starbucks before. Now it is. Not only because they are less than 1mi from me, but because they now have nitro available. I'm not sure when they started but they do now and that's all that matters! It's a drive-thru Starbucks which is a major plus. I ordered from the Starbucks app today and my order was ready when I got there which was before time said it was ready.

This is the closest location to my house so I might be a little biased but this location is always consistent in their good service and well made drinks. I like this location as well because it's a bit out of the way so when they have new limited edition drinks you can usually find them here when they've sold out at more popular busier locations. I typically use the drive thru and always get the most pleasant people taking my order. Even if there's a line it usually moves pretty fast, the staff really knows how to hustle to keep it moving in a timely manner. If you've never tried any of their food I'd definitely recommend their breakfast sandwiches. My favorite is the Bacon and Gouda! Also, aside from how annoying "Instagram worthy" drink orders are, the Pink Drink is so damn delicious and so refreshing for spring and summer. Its one of the few trendy drinks that actually tastes as good as it is pretty! :)

Look at the interior from the seating by the entrance.

This Cedar Rd. location is always reliable when it comes to drink quality and service times. This is a solidly high volume location though, so the trash cans can be full sometimes. Other than that it's mad spacious and has outlets near most of its indoor seating! It also has outdoor seating and a drive thru. Solid location to catch up on a book or get some work done.

If you don't know what a Starbucks is, please feel free to check out the wikipedia article. They are pretty much all the same, it's something they strive for. Nothing like a sanitized experience anywhere in the world. This place has a "drive-thru" which means the baristas don't have time for the patrons ordering inside. The staff makes or breaks this place. There's usually a 75% chance that this particular venue is dirty and in need of cleaning the tables as well as the bathroom. There's four comfy chairs. Some seating along the wall, most for two-people; some outdoor seating. It doesn't smell like coffee. Unfortunately, for Chesapeake, this is about the best you can get. Almost worth the drive to the Norfolk/Ghent area.

The "pink drink" that is not so pink.

This Starbucks usually does not disappoint but when my boyfriend got a pink drink for me today and came home with what was in the picture i just don't know why I would pay $5.00 for coconut milk.

A total nightmare to get to for logistically, but totally worth the hassle and the drive. This place is tiny so we lucked out getting seats. There are a few seats on a low top bar facing the street and a few more high top bar seats facing the kitchen. Not ideal for socializing, but we made it work, I found this place to be extremely kid-friendly even though it isn't necessarily catering towards kids. Tons of great food options - highlights being the strawberry french toast and the chicken bacon ranch wrap. Pretty sure these are both specials for February, but gosh they should keep them year-round. The gentleman cooking was great - from food to service. My coffee was good. Not superb, but hit the spot. My biggest wish for coffee shops is always homemade syrups but at least they use Monin. Overall, great experience and will definitely be back next time I stumble upon the area.

Pale Horse Coffee is owned by retired military who I thanked for there service. Inside, the line moved pretty consistently with averages of 10-12 people waiting to order and pick up their beverages. For food, they only had some fresh made egg burritos pre-wrapped and in a warming display and a few fresh baked muffins. Their coffee selection and flavors to add are pretty tremendous and if you love coffee, you'll love this place because their service is so warm and friendly, just like their beverages. They offer free wifi which makes this place a great hang out for humans and their furry friends. On the morning that I stopped in there were 3 of the most beautiful and well behaved golden retrievers waiting patiently for their dog bone treat while their people waited for their drinks. Many other people were having business meetings and working remote. There is outside seating as well as plenty of seating inside and just as many electric outlets to keep the technology charged while the body charges from their delicious coffee. Parking is also free for up to 2 hours in the garage behind the shops. This is a wonderful well run coffee place!

Hidden Gem for Sweet Tooths & Pup Parents!…read more We visited House of Marmalade as part of the Hampton Roads Passport Series, and I am so glad we did -- I don't think I would've discovered this little gem otherwise! The shop is small and cozy with no indoor seating, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in charm and incredible sweets. The bakery case was absolutely stunning -- full of beautifully made cookies, macarons, and more. We tried three macarons (espresso, almond, and salted caramel), and every single one was perfection -- fresh, flavorful, and just the right size and sweetness. We also grabbed a shortbread cookie, which was buttery and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. And let's not forget our pup! Lexi got a pumpkin cupcake with peanut butter icing, topped with a tiny bone-shaped treat -- not only adorable, but she devoured it. Definitely pup-approved! The staff was fantastic -- super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. You can tell they care about their craft and their customers. Whether you're doing the Passport Tour or just looking for a place to grab something sweet, House of Marmalade is absolutely worth the stop. We'll definitely be back!
