Been to this Starbucks several times and for some reason the baristas consistently do not know how to make drinks. They seem like they're not trained or something. Ordered a sweet cream cold brew which is right on the menu and this one employee who wasn't even ringing up the order leaned in to make a comment about how strange a request it was. What the hell? Other times we've ordered such complex drinks as a vanilla latte and they started going through a recipe book to figure out how to do it. Pretty much every time we've gone they said they couldn't make some drink because they were out of some ingredient which is something I've never experienced at any other starbucks. Either they don't order enough supplies or they just don't know where anything is. The building itself is nice, but it would be better if there were smaller tables inside rather than one giant banquet. There is one bench and round tables in the back which make no sense for a coffee shop where people bring their laptops and study. Go to the Starbucks at the Read House for a much better experience all around is my advice. read more

This Starbucks is great! The staff are always so kind and energetic. They now offer order-ahead which makes it that much more convenient when you're in a rush but if you're not, they have plenty of space to relax, socialize and or get some work done. read more

Not every Starbucks is the same, even if standardized in product and service model. Sometimes the smooth blonde espresso isn't available or a barista isn't as precise at a location. When I'm in a rush, I don't have to worry about those factors at this location usually. So when I receive a Starbucks gift card during the holiday season, I go here. Thanks ya'll! read more

Rarely go out of my way to review a place badly... If you're looking for a place to hang out this is not the place. Currently their hours are restricted to Saturday & Sunday closing at 12pm as well as Mondays. Guess they must not be doing well financially. This Starbucks was weird. I guess it's a franchise so it isn't owned by the actual company. I felt immediately uncomfortable when I walked in I felt like the barista behind the counter was eyeing me for some reason. This location must get a lot of college kids and foot traffic because she seemed to think I was a kid looking for a place to loiter. They wouldn't let me eat the soup I brought. Has never happened at any Starbucks location I have ever been to. Just seemed to me like the lady behind the counter kind of runs the show and swoops around trying to control people and get them to leave. Such a strange feeling, I guess this flies because this Starbucks isn't a full company owned Starbucks. Anyway, I didn't feel comfortable buying anything and just walked to the next Starbucks. This Starbucks is always my bf and I favorite one to go to! The decor is so nice and there's plenty of inside and outside seating. It's one of the biggest Starbucks I've ever been to (most are super small and cramped inside). The employees are always so sweet and helpful! UPDATE- The newness has worn off... I understand they are not a real Starbucks and cannot redeem our starts, but they don't honor the Starbucks special offers either. Every time I come here this place is always packed. There's no reason they can't honor the special offers - lord knows they do enough business. If they cannot honor Starbucks the way it is advertised then maybe they shouldn't be labeled as a Starbucks or have the emblems on the store. Will it take someone suing for false advertisement before this place is forced to honor Starbucks specials? Not to mention I cane in 2 days ago and the person at the register didn't even put her phone down to take my order. The video she was watching was clearly more interesting than doing her job. The guy that was actually working filling up the front had to call her name twice to get her to put her phone down. It's new so the staff is hella' nice and fast! First, this location doesn't participate in the rewards program, which I wasn't aware of until after I ordered and paid. It's close to my house so it's convenient but when I'm visiting specifically for the BOGO/Happy Hours/etc, I'll just drive further up the street. Second, mobile ordering isn't available so that's a bummer. The cherry on top is that my boyfriends drink order was incorrect (this was our first visit here btw). Unfortunately, I have to agree with some of the other reviews, the newness has worn off. There seems to be a frequent turnover in staff and customer service and training is lacking. The staff is usually preoccupied carrying on private convos to greet anyone or even acknowledge customers. I understand it's not a regular franchise starbucks but it is annoying that they don't participate in the reward program and they don't really offer any of the newer featured drinks. As of recently I've picked up expired merchandise that was out for sale and ordered a latte and received a cider instead (I still have no clue how that happens). When I informed the staff of the wrong order, there was no apology or explanation and they were extremely hesitant to give me a refund. They ended up issuing me store credit, which came in the form of someone writing $5 on receipt paper with a signature. I don't understand how you can accept a starbucks card for payment but can't put the money back on the card? The whole experience was extremely unprofessional. Parking can sometimes be difficult and there's plenty other local, high quality coffee shops, with super friendly service within the vicinity, so I highly recommend taking your business somewhere it will be appreciated!! read more

I love this location due to the aesthetic and space provided. It is very open which helps with not making it feel so packed in there. The customer service is also great! Wanted to try out the new Starbucks on the Northshore. One of the hottest days of the year. Spent $20 on coffee and pastries. When I asked for a cup of water for my kids they wanted to charge me. Way to embody southern hospitality! Thanks big corporate giant for elbowing out some great local coffee shops. If you want great coffee go to Velo.
