I'm from the area, I now live elsewhere, and I visit Hiawatha a lot. I visit family, and I just like a good road trip home. I camp, go to hotels, I do whatever I feel like doing next. Most of the employees at the Blair's Ferry Starbucks this week were fine. One was so rude on my way out that I won't be back. I'm guessing they are just an unhappy person. I bought like three drinks a day and tipped $2 with each drink ("refresher", hot chocolate). I think I sat and did research twice sitting at a table. I always cleaned up if I did rarely use a table. Due to the Canada wild fires the air quality index was over 200. I was grounded, and couldn't do what I had planned this week. Four week road trips are a "whole thing". I decided right then that the fires were not ending so I abruptly changed plans. I got one last "refresher" as I would be in the car for hours. This was their tipping point for some unknown reason. I take it most customers AT THIS LOCATION use the Starbucks app, or use GrubHub. This person might be annoyed that I'm ordering in person taking up her time. I would use the Starbucks app except I shut it down after my Starbucks account got hacked. Scooters Coffee is further out, but they fit the bill. If I need internet for a moment the Kum&Go has great WiFi, and KwikStar is better for "real food". read more

Consistently for months order two drinks an americano and a nitro in Mobil pick up and I concistently stand in the store everytime for over 10 miniutes waiting to be acknowledged. The young man I think Isiah told me they wait to make it until someone shows up and I said well I consistently am ignored in this store and the audacity of that statement was hilarious. Good location on Blairs Ferry Road. Usually not too crowded so finding a place to sit is normally good. Variety of seating options. I've never had a wrong order or poor drink, and service is normally quick. The store is kept clean, and the staff is fine. One slight problem is that they do not have a volume control on the speaker, so if you sit near the front of the store it can be loud, bordering on annoying. In the winter the heat gets pretty warm in the entryway, so that can be a nuisance too. Otherwise, it's a fine store. read more

I'll agree this Starbucks needs some work. The property needs managed and direction needs to be had. The line is always out the road. Which means you absolutely could be waiting for 20ish mins. They have some great things for them being around Walmart , Loews , Sams , and. Right off the interstate. Because of the wait I usually keep this store for the out of towners. I love Starbucks it's a great place to get coffee. My favorite is the white chocolate mocha with an extra shot. It's so good and creamy. Today when I went I tried the roasted butterscotch Frappuccino. It was delicious and if you like butterscotch you'll like it a lot. When I pulled up to the drive thru window the barista saw my dog and asked if I wanted a puppachino (I think that's how you spell it). Anyway it was a small cup of whip cream and my dog bowser loved it. Nice gestures like that make me wanna come back. read more

I ordered a Dark Roast Pour Over. It's a very easy thing to make. The person said her area was closed down for the night and she is not able to make the coffee. It was 5:19 when I left the store. I had to settle with a Medium Roast. They can't make a dark roast. She truly didn't care and gave me every indication that I would just have to live with it. I am posting here and I will contact Starbucks Customer Service. She was the worst I've ever seen at that store. read more

I love this Starbucks. The Coffee is always good. The baristas are so friendly and warm as well as able to get your order right and fast. I'm in there every morning and they know my drink as well as my name. Makes my mornings awesome. It's a really busy place from 7:45 to 8:15. And you may have to wait a bit for a custom drink. Use the mobile app for your morning brew and give it ten minutes. Some may complain about the wait but what can you expect at those really busy times. read more

The barista that works in the mornings there LOVES to argue with you about your coffee choice . Several times now this has happened.... I prefer no vanilla add other option and she always has to comment that this certain item doesnt come with it..... Yeah i know. We go through this everytime. This place must have turned around quite a bit since the last reviews. We stopped by on our way through town for a caffeine fix. The baristas were friendly and professional. Drinks were perfect. No complaints here and will definitely add this to our list of good places for a quick stop. read more

We went to this Starbucks this afternoon and went to the drive through. They were rude about our drinks and took our order twice at the sign, then again at the window. We ordered two lemonade açaí refreshers and a caramel mocha with no dairy (vegan), and they handed the refreshers out without lemonade, and then gave us the mocha with regular dairy and whipped cream. We sent the mocha back and asked for no whip and almond milk, and they handed it back out with no whip, but still regular milk. Overall, the staff was rude to us and couldn't get the order correct even when we politely corrected them. We always try not to be rude when people mess up on vegan options because it can be difficult, but they we're not understanding of our order or restrictions, and willingly gave us the wrong order. We're headed to another starbucks now to spend $16 more just to get the right order. Very disappointing. read more

I came this morning at 7:15 to get a coffee. I read my order and pulled forward. The manager named Autumn went out of her way to come to the window and was extremely disrespectful and snippy and said to me "I told you, I was reading you, your total THEN you could pull forward" rolled her eyes and walked away from the window. First, I know my total I get this coffee every-time I'm at Starbucks I didn't think I needed to stay parked just to hear my total. Sometimes I'm even at Starbucks and the employees say "pull forward for your total". The employee was by far without a doubt way more eligible to be the manager THAN the actual manager. The employee treated me with RESPECT and apologized for HER managers behavior!! If she's behaving this way in front of her employees and thinks this is how she should treat Starbucks loyal customers it's setting the wrong example. Starbucks needs to know!! Absolutely unacceptable and I will NOT be back because of the manager and I'll let everyone know of my experience at this Starbucks. read more

Beware this store when using drive through and any credit or debit card. After stopping there recently, I saw fraudulent charges, which could not go through because this is a reloadable card and not a credit or debit card, show up on my card summary. I use a JP Morgan Chase Starbucks Visa card, so Chase alerted me to irregular charges being attempted, charged and then reversed because of insufficient funds or lack of correct CVV code. Thank God because they were charging up to $4000-$5000, attempting to anyway. I contacted Starbucks corporate and will talk to Cedar Rapids PD tomorrow! From now on, I'll go to another shop and use cash only!! Creeps!! read more
