Hi Tea is one of my favorite stops for a sweet treat in Cedar Rapids! The whole orange tea with strawberry bursting boba hits right every time. Fruit teas have actual fruit making them more delicious than other boba tea places I've been. Ambiance is cheery, clean and alive with well kept live plants. When I arrived, I was the only customer. They took a while to get started on my order. Then, when I asked if they could mix the strawberry and Oreo, the owner yelled at me that they couldn't. When I got my order they didn't give me spoons and when I asked for them they looked angry. The rolled ice cream options are limited (only three to choose from) and need more flavor. It's okay for people who want rolled ice cream and haven't had it anywhere, but it's not something I would buy again because I've had better. The place is clean. This is a new place! It's cute, clean, and the people are friendly. I love boba and it may not be the best I've had but I would still come back to this place as it is the only boba place in Cedar Rapids. Their Vietnamese coffee is pretty good and boba is a bit too chewy but I can't complain. Also, their rolled ice cream is good I would come back just for that. It was....ok. I've tried Bubble/boba tea from many places in different states. Let's face it, everyone has their own version of it. I got the traditional Bubble Milk Tea here. Compared to others it was not as sweet (which may appeal to others) and it was more tea tasting than others I've had. It seemed almost watered down and it was not as rich as many I have had before. I would give them another chance and maybe try something different. It's much different in taste and texture compared to Mai Pho in Cedar Rapids which seems to be the only other place to go in CR. Not gonna lie, as I kept drinking it the more I grew to like it. It was just "different" compared to all other Bubble Milk Teas I have had in the past. She mentioned that they just opened 2 weeks ago so maybe in time it will get better. read more
