Barista was overwhelmed with me asking if their coffee beans are arabica or else. Another stated I think we've got Costa Rica blend mix here. Moving forward with my order I had to repeat myself 3 (!) x cause barista would be interrupted by her headset & unable to hear or absorb the order. Drive through was served by 2 other baristas. I dared to ask if they have a Joghurt parfait, or fruit bowl/cup or anything without meat. Nope, but 'we can take the meat off'. Something all vegetarians & vegans LOVE hearing! The party I met up with experienced the same lack of attention ordering her coffee prior me, complaining she had to repeat herself several times. Rest assure our next meeting (we ended up being 6 people) will be at another venue next time.

I Ordered A Burrito Bowl, And While Waiting, I Noticed The Barista Pull A Container Of Pre-Made Ingredients From The Fridge, Scoop It Into A Bowl, And Microwave It. What?! I Don't Go Out To Eat Just To Be Served Microwaved Food. If You're Going To Have Food On The Menu, It Should At Least Be Fresh. Unfortunately, The Taste Didn't Make Up For The Disappointment. The Bowl Was Bland, Lacked Any Real Flavor, And The So-Called "Salsa" Was Unimpressive At Best. Honestly, Just Stick To Coffee And Skip The Food. Absolutely Not Worth It.

Great coffee, friendly service as always! I also got a piece of their coffee cake and a breakfast burrito and they were both so good. The seating area is behind where you order coffee--looks like it's a bar in the evenings. They also have a great breakfast selection. I was hoping to try one of the breakfast sandwiches, but had to opt for a pastry because service was so slow. I ordered my go-to basic drip coffee with cream. It was perfect! Definitely the morning pick me up I needed. Since I wasn't able to get a hardier breakfast, I opted for a donut. The cake donut was definitely yummy! While there were three people working behind the counter, I had to wait about 10 minutes to even order. One staff member was making drinks, another making food, and the third was making signs. I'm sure the signs were important, but so are customers who are standing in front of you. Bottom line, I will give Uptown another shot when I'm back in the area because the coffee was that good and the sandwiches being made looked and smelled delicious.

In Iowa I usually get overheated milk, espresso that was roasted 2 steps beyond French roast, with a nice dirt and tar aftertaste. Dunn Brothers did it right! Perfect milk temperature. I mean perfect. Possibly the best I've ever had, and I've had coffee in some of the best shops in America. The espresso was spectacularly roasted, not burned in the espresso machine, and came out exactly like I hope for when I dream of coffee. And trust me, I dream about coffee. The staff was friendly, store was clean and well kept, all the customers were happy. Overall this place just oozes happiness, which we could all use some more of these days. These guys love what they do and it show, in the store, the coffee, their attitude, and all through the experience. I can't wait to come back and test more of the menu. They claim it's a Wi-Fi issue and have you pay for a second time when you get your drink, only to find out your first payment already went through. This has happened to me twice. Along with that, the lines are ridiculous. Get used to spending 15 to 20 minutes in the drive-through. They will have cars into the next parking lot and you only see two people in there, making drinks. it's possible other people are doing things in the back, but when you're in the drive-through for that long, you can actually see who's making the drinks.
