Had THE best time at this place. Their service was awesome and seating outside made for a great evening. Also Ian's Pizza was fantastic. We had a group of 20 and everyone had rave reviews of the food and drink. Kids were also enjoying the root beer and slush drinks. Czech Village is alive again!!! Thank you!!!!!!!!! read more

This is the third time I've been here and I want to like it - but I can't. The beer is ok. The bar tender is nice (the dark harried one - not so much for the blond). But we are here for the Iowa v Iowa State football game on a beautiful Saturday and there are literally four people in the bar. We wanted to order pizza - but we couldn't because they were too busy!?? Take out maybe? The beer is mediocre. You can't order pizza. And the staff doesn't really seem to care much. I think three strikes and I'm out. Off to Parlor City with better beer, food, and awesome wait staff. I bet the doors are locked on this place within six months. read more

Yeah, it was okay. I originally thought they served food. Or maybe they do on occasion (one of my favorite travel YouTubers went here and ate and drank). But the experience was weird because I was the only person in there that evening. They did have a lot of selections of alcohol, and I went with the Crunch Berry-flavored one. It was fine. read more

We had gone to the farmer's market with around 16 family that were in town for a wedding reception. We needed a cool spot and this place was awesome! I got the Witwer Chicken sandwich and I could eat that everyday. I asked for a side salad instead of fries... not great, but doable. All the beer we tried was good and especially liked the blood orange radler. read more

We really liked it here. We brought our dogs and found a quiet corner. As we were walking in a group of people saw the dogs and were really welcoming. We were from out of town and it was so friendly. A waitress saw the dogs and came over to say hello because she had the same kind of dog. Our beer was very good. The patio is large and there is plenty of seating inside. We didn't get food but it was available. The patrons and wait staff really made this place special. read more

Stopped at a few breweries today and this was easily the best. Had a flight with a few good beers and 2 great ones. I was very impressed and even my wife enjoyed a couple beers, that's very rare. We didn't eat here, but the servers were very cool and the place was very inviting, more of a traditional brewery than I've seen in this area. We bought some cans to take of the summer soother, that was great beer. read more

Good beer! Every time I visit family I stop by to see what is new and brewing! Fun location with plenty to see and do!

Food and beer were both phenomenal and authentic!! Service was kind and courteous. Ambiance had great outdoor seating and easy access to a beautiful walking trail. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! read more

We hadn't been there since it opened & decided we were overdue to go back. So glad we did! The food & drinks were phenomenal. We had a large group so tried a bunch of appetizers. Bacon fries, street corn dip, crab cakes, and pretzel bites. All were super tasty only suggestion I have is warm cheese for the pretzel bites. Most of us ordered beer flights & I got a sour flight. It was very hard to pick my favorite. I wish I had gotten more pics but was busy drinking & eating. A few of us ordered burgers & chicken sandwiches. The Witwer chicken was to die for!!! So good. We also had a wonderful server, Brynn who at our beck & call making sure we got well taken care of. Looking forward to another visit. read more

Insanely overpriced and poor customer service from management. They used to offer a "growler" where you buy a 64 oz glass jug and can bring it in to refill with beer for about $20. My husband went in to fill one of ours with crush berry sour to take on our trip out east for our east coast friends to try. When he handed them the growler and asked for a fill up of crush berry, they confiscated the growler jug and handed him a puny 32 ounce bottle of the sour without explaining anything. My husband asked about it and they said that they "don't do growlers anymore." They then proceeded to charge him SIXTEEN DOLLARS for the 32oz jar. When a jug double the size recently was sold for $20. My husband, while confused and disappointed, politely paid and left. Two minutes into his drive home, the (puny and overpriced) jug started leaking beer all over the car. He turned right back around and while the bartender was very kind and apologetic, the manger refused to refund him and said all they can do is either refill it again or take the product back and issue a refund. Needless to say we will not be returning. So disappointing. read more

Great beer and ambiance! When you come here it's comfortable, relaxing, and a great place to meet up with friends. Grab a beer, grab some excellent food, and enjoy the company of other beer enthusiasts. The outdoor patio is one of the best in the area. The servers are always kind and offer suggestions. Everything is very clean and well cared for including the bathrooms. If you haven't been here you're missing out! Don't miss out! read more

Stop me if you've heard this. Microbrew with great beer but terrible food. Or. Trendy restaurant with good food but a horrible beer selection. Those are so common they borderline on stereotypical. What isn't common is a microbrew that actually has a diverse menu with really great food. That is what you get at Lion Bridge. The beer selection was incredible. While I had never had any of their beers previously, after sampling several of them, I can tell you that I easily could've had a pint of each with much enjoyment. (Although, I am not sure there would've been much enjoyment the next morning.). I settled on their Oktoberfest 3000, which is a whiskey barrel aged beer that is big on flavor and really packs a punch. (This lightweight was feeling it after one) As an appetizer we chose the sausage, cheese, and peppers charcuterie. Does anyone ever feel they get enough when ordering that? when the waitress presented it, I felt as if I could eat the entire board myself. Nonetheless, I needed to share it with my date. It was incredibly tasty. The sausage was very flavorful and the peppers were heavenly. However, for the price, it didn't seem like it was worth it. For dinner, I chose the roasted beet and sweet potato flat bread pizza with goat cheese. Good Lord. That sounds so hipster one would think that I needed to eat it while wearing a derby hat and riding a unicycle. Regardless of what headwear or mode of transportation, it was incredible. Seriously. One of the best flatbread pizzas I have ever had. The bread itself was an amazing combination of crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside. This is definitely a fun spot to enjoy a couple of locally crafted beers, some good food, and hopefully enjoy some great music. read more

We held my son's wedding rehearsal dinner here for 50 people and were so pleased with the service and food. We met with Bri prior to the event and she showed us the space and we talked through costs and food options. The space worked great, they accommodated the need for additional seating and the food was amazing. I don't believe any food was left! Very welcoming for us as visitors from Indiana. I don't know why it has taken me so long to visit this place. My first visit was just over a month ago and I think I have been back 4 or 5 times. I don't think I have had a bad beer here yet. The place is well little and roomy, very comfortable! They also have bands every once and a while. It can get a little loud from time to time but with the big vaulted ceilings you can still hear your conversations. I have only tried a few of the appetizers but I do remember them being very tasty. I do plan several return trips to this location. read more

From their firkins to their tappings, I go to Lionbridge Brewery frequently for their delicious beer releases. Recently my favorite craft beer release from Lionbridge was their: Mea Pulpa, a double IPA with guava. The food at Lionbridge Brewery is amazing. Their charcuterie tray is delicious along with their rotating homemade desserts and entrees. During Houby Days in Czech Village where people celebrate morel mushrooms, Lionbridge Brewery made a mushroom beer that I was told by my friend was delicious and ran out fast. In the heart of Czech Village, Lionbridge Brewery is a classic-style little brewery, with a great venue for bands to setup and play, usually on Friday or Saturday nights. They also have a nice woodchipped patio for outdoor seating, while indoor seating ranges from cozy couches to nice wooden tables or high-top tables. Lionbridge Brewery a great place to stop if you like trying good craft beer and food. read more

Meh. It was all just OK at best. $18 for a burger and fries that weren't great. Had the Hellscape and Compensation. Both kind of flavorless. Left half the Compensation. Service was great and ambiance was pretty good. The place itself is nice, unfortunately the beer and food is just average. read more

$150 worth of food and all of it was not good at all. We got pretzel bites that were Rock hard, arancini were all dried out and no cheese In them, fish basket had two little slivers of fish and was gross, we got three orders of chicken tenders and they all had different amounts of chicken in them. I get that they were busy but non of the food was really warm and allot of it was rock hard. read more

I really like the atmosphere of Lion Bridge and it was just fine this time around. Unfortunately, this time around, the food was not fine. It took a long time for our food to come out (the server was nice to come by and thank us for our patience) and when it did, it was meh. My burger (Fritz burger) was charred and the pretzel bun was not as soft as I was hoping. It was just a so-so burger and the chips were just...chips. I might come to Lion Bridge again for some beer, but I might think twice about getting food. read more

Great place, great vibes, great food & great beer! In the quaint little Czech Village area. We sat outside on the patio, which was shaded and lovely with quite a few tables. I always love lion bridge - great outdoor and indoor spaces. Lately they have been coming out with weekly beer slushees which are soo good! This past visit they had blue raspberry and watermelon. Our food took a little bit to get served BUT our server/bartender was so sweet and amazing we didn't mind waiting at all. He also made our wait worthwhile by giving us a couple drinks on the house. Amazing service, amazing beer, amazing food. Highly recommend! I wish I had gotten our servers name but unfortunately I forgot to ask. I'm so glad we stumbled upon Lion Bridge while looking for a brewery with a kitchen. The taproom is pretty basic (though I was glad to see they had the football game on) but there is plenty of seating and a fairly large outdoor patio. The staff was a blast to interact with, and they were more than happy to spend time chatting about their beer list & favorite dishes. We ended up with pretzels & perogies along with a half-dozen beers to chase them down with. I was relieved to see that their beer list was more than just IPAs & sours; I prefer darker beers, so the Oktobot 3000 & The Spice Must Flow were my favorites of the bunch. There are some great breweries in Cedar Rapids, but Lion Bridge was among my favorites. read more

You definitely need to eat here if you are ever in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, believe me it won't disappoint. When I came here I had one of the limited release beers and it was pretty dang good. I would recommend any beer here especially the ones on limited release. Why wouldn't you want to try something that is only available for a short while. Now let's talk about The Witwer Chicken Sandwich! I can't stop thinking about the sriracha honey glaze and the garlic aioli with all the fixings..on a pretzel bun. This sandwich was so tasty, my mouth is watering just thinking about it. Everyone needs to give this place a try and why not order the Whitwer sandwich which has some pretty cool history behind its name. read more

We had the french fries with the garlic aoli and the jalapeno popper dip BOTH were excellent! We did a couple flights and got beer to go. The craft beer was very good! As visitors from out of town we were pleasantly surprised with everything! Only complaint we had was with our service, it felt like we were bothering our server anytime we asked for anything (which was only to place orders for food and drinks). Outside of that we loved it! Even bought same swag to bring home! read more

I've been here a couple of times before, but on a nice sunny Sunday while out for a walk with a friend decided to stop in again. The Compensation is always a winner with me, but today I had a blood orange brew. It wss delicious in the winter and I can only imagine how good it would be on the patio on a nice warm day. The staff is exceptional. Super friendly and more than willing to help with choices. They had a nice band today playing music perfect for a lazy Sunday. Not too loud, but a nice backdrop.i recommend the Korean tacos. The perfect combination of savory with a bit of a kick. Great place to enjoy time with friends in a wonderful setting read more

I can't imagine the Czech Village without this place! This super-chic small batch staple on Main Street totally fits the New Bohemia vibe. It is exactly what you imagine when you think of a local brewery in Denver... but it's in Eastern Iowa. The finishes are industrial and cool, it's somewhere you'd want to spend Happy Hour. The beer is tasty (I totally recommend The Disaster at Meux) with food that is eclectic and ever changing. I had the pretzel with both the mustard and beer cheese. AMAZING. The mustard was perfect and I loved that the cheese was cold. Additionally-- the staff was friendly, knowledgeable and totally took pride in working for this small business! I loved that. Personally, I thought the pricing was a bit high. But ultimately, both the brews and bites were quality, so I'd spend a few extra bucks for the experience. I've been here a couple fo times now and I can't sing enough praises about Lion Bridge Brewing Company. AND, parking is a non issue, with plenty of lots behind the businesses on Main Street, as well as free two hour parking on the street itself. I will be back! Hopefully to check out their killer patio during the warmer months. And, I will be picking up a six pack at my local grocery store. It is TOTALLY rad they are selling canned brews. You go, Lion Bridge! read more

I love Lion Bridge for its beer and atmosphere. But I'm a food-focussed woman... and unfortunately the execution here is just not fantastic. The appetizers and "to share" plates are nothing exciting. The soft pretzel bites aren't actually that soft and the nachos are poorly constructed. As for main dishes, the burgers are your best bet. The Chana Masala wrap is truly a disappointment and nothing but a mouth-full of mush and the Korean BBQ tacos are weirdly wet and hard to eat... I had a giant puddle of cold pork juice on my plate after taking one bite, and still the pork was dry and bland. Don't write this place off though, I know I won't, it's still worth a visit for the great beer and awesome outdoor hangout. Just remember to come here after dinner. read more

Came here for the first time with a few friends to catch up. It wasn't a bad experience for us! I really love the location within Czech Village, and the parking easy peasy! The only thing I'm disappointed about is our waitress. She filled and refilled beers while never once asking if I'd like a refill. Maybe because it was just water? That shouldn't matter though. She disappeared for like 20-30 minutes without saying a word which sucked because we really wanted some cheese friends. By the time she came back it was like 9:05 pm and the kitchen had just closed at 9:00 pm. If she would've either stopped by to check things out twenty minutes earlier or even have us a kitchen closing warning then maybe we could've curbed the cheesy fries craving. The atmosphere was very laid back, except for our waitress who was... less laid back. I don't know how to explain what she was like, but it was a different experience for sure. I mean, she was extra nice. Very excited to be open and working I think. While this was a cool place to hang out, my friends and we decided it wasn't our "new spot" for our weekly outings. I'd still recommend giving them a try! If we decided to make our way back out I think we'd try the patio. It looked lovely and I'll bet it's great when the weather is nice. read more
