HD creates a good variety of beers to choose from and if you don't drink beer they do have a cooler with hard ciders and other drinks along with a few non alcoholic options. In the summer they have bands on the weekend and a canopy over most of the outdoor seating. In the winter the have igloos to keep warm. They don't have a kitchen so no food except free popcorn and a snack bowl of mixed nuts. You can buy a few things to eat like peanuts and beef jerky. Th location is just off the Cedar Valley Nature Trail so this is a good location for those that bike or hike on the trail. There is a large bike rack to accommodate those individuals. But overall, the experience has been pretty good. Until today. Sunday Brunch begins at 10 am. Today, I walked in alone at 10:02. By alone, I mean there was nobody else in the place except the maitre d ',, the manager, the bartender, and the waitstaff. In other words, zero customers. Not a big surprise since it was a Sunday morning and ReUnion had just opened I was seated; my waitress, took my drink order, and I hit the buffet line. So zero-minute ticket time. The waiter brought my coffee and disappeared. Time passed. At about the five-minute mark, the manager came by to check on me. After 15 more minutes, my drink had gone dry. I could see the waitresses crowded around the gaggle of other waitpersons, gabbing about who knows what. She never came back... I got up and asked the manager if my waitress had gone off duty. I spoke to the manager and expressed my disappointment with the lack of service. I was the only customer in the place, and my waitress couldn't be bothered. The manager's response was to "handle me." She offered no apology. When I asked her how she would feel in my place, she double-talked, i.e., had no answer. I very politely told the waitress that I tip a minimum of 25 percent, but that today's tip would be two dollars. She, too, failed to apologize or offer any reason for her terrible service. And..... and... she had zero other customers. There are too many other buffets in town for me to put up with this substandard tableside manner.
