We started with a coffee, caramel latte and a blueberry muffin. The coffee was solid good. Wife really like her latte. And the blueberry muffin was moist, sweet and delicious. Also tried the chorizo sausage and gravy biscuits. Nice twist, the chorizo spiced things up to the slightly bland gravy. Wife had the eggs, toast and bacon and was all cooked as she liked. Quaint corner cafe ambiance right on a charming Main Street. I ordered the Avocado toast with an egg and sausage. I usually don't do sausage on avocado toast as that seems contrary to the point of having a fundamentally vegetarian entree for breakfast, but a friend recommended the sausage...and they were so right. The latte was very well made and their iced vanilla latte was also really good and the service was really great. The baristas are very good at their job. Inside the restaurant, the decor was really neat and quite fancy, having an almost royal feel to it, even their ceiling patterns were exquisite. The best coffee and breakfast place in Cedar Rapids! My wife and I make it a ritual to eat at this place every weekend. The restaurant is beautiful and inviting inside. The staff are super friendly. Order a large mocha (as seen in the attached picture). Also try their 2 egg breakfast, with toast and sausage. It is my go to order. Their lunch items are also great. First time visit for lunch. I ordered the daily quiche with was Sausage, spinach, onion, bell pepper and 3 cheeses. I added a blueberry muffin and and Americano coffee. The muffin was delicious and very fresh. The coffee was outstanding! But... the Quiche was a huge disappointment. There was no crust on this particular quiche which was a surprise to me as this should definitely have been included in the description. The veggie and sausage ingredients of quiche were layered at the top and the bottom layer was mostly just spongy bland tasting eggs. It was topped with stringy mozzarella cheese which in my opinion doesn't belong on top of quiche. I tried to eat it but I felt it was a waste of my calories. Thank goodness for that delicious muffin.
