The late hours here makes for a great alternative to the hubbub at Java House and there's usually parking easily found here. Great coffee, Kickapoo from Wisconsin, and americanos! I've been working my way through the loose-tea menu. Earl Grey is a staple for me and the blend here has a strong flavor. The Rooibos Chai is very good and doesn't have the Rooibos after taste that my tastebuds do not like. My only recommendation would be a dish to hold the leaves after an adequate amount of steeping time. I've taken to using the to-go coffee lids to hold the mesh strainer and tea leaves. I haven't had a chance to partake in the beer and wine selection, but hope to soon. There is a quite and extensive list to choose from! Staff has always been friendly and the background music perfect in the evenings. I love that the tables are larger than the usual small cafe tables. I can have a giant textbook and a notebook spread out while working. The loveseat in front of the fireplace is popular. One of these days i'll get to enjoy with a good book and a cup of coffee.

She told us, "Give me a minute," and when she asked if a high top was OK, she would not make eye contact with either my daughter or me. There was also way too much old, frozen-tasting fruit mixed in with the fresh fruit. The texture was so soft and squishy that it made all of the fruit taste bad. What made the experience worse was that she checked on the tables around us multiple times but never once checked on us or made eye contact with us. The only reason we stayed was because our server, Rae, was kind, respectful, and attentive. Rae checked on us multiple times and was the one bright spot in an otherwise terrible experience. We didn't speak up because, by that point, all I wanted to do was pay for my overpriced meal and leave. With the way the economy is right now, I'm willing to overlook a lot when I spend money going out to eat. What I'm not willing to accept is being treated unkindly or disrespectfully, or allowing my child to be treated that way. That was the most disappointing and disheartening part of this experience.
