I went in around 5:30 on a Sunday. Completely empty store with 2 workers. 3 standard drinks took over a half hour to make and each one was completely wrong. The employees were super nice but literally had no idea what they were doing. Didn't know that ND meant non-dairy so that drink had to be remade, asked for extra cold foam on 2 drinks and had a paper thin layer on each so those had to be remade. The strawberry frapp tasted like sour milk so that had to be remade. I feel bad because the employees really were super nice, but I completely wasted 30+ minutes of my time for 3 drinks that got thrown out. read more

Came in here at an acquaintance's suggestion, and was more than satisfied with the whole experience. The beer selection was awesome and they even serve cocktails too. I come to this Starbucks often and it's always a pretty good experience (the only thing I don't like is that sometimes it's randomly closed, idk why that is) anyhoo. It comes in handy on New York mornings and honestly Bank of America gives me cashback to patronize the spot so that helps. When you work in the city, you see Starbucks in many incarnations. Small stands inside office buildings, larger venues with enough seating to accommodate fifty people or the more common smaller Starbucks with maybe enough room for ten to twelve people. When you go to any of the outer boroughs, things change a bit. This Starbucks is located in the site of what was once a diner, so it has ample room for its cashier station, serving area and seating. On top of all that there are little islands and a shelf of Starbucks products all laid out to tempt you. In short - there's a lot of room in this place. With Brooklyn College literally a stone's throw away, it's no surprise a lot of the seating and facilities here are geared towards laptop jockeys who think to bring their power packs with them. The area I hung out in had a power outlet for almost every other seat. It was quite surprising and refreshing all at the same time. The decor keeps the same dark wood tones of most current Starbucks. The service each time I went to the counter (twice in total) was friendly and fast. One time I ordered a Chai Latte Dirty and it was made perfectly. Sometimes certain branches don't balance out the mixture of elements in the drink properly so you wind up with too much or almost non-existent spice flavor. These guys nailed the balance of the spice and sweetness you'd expect in this drink. When I bought an oatmeal raisin cookie later, they heated it up nice and quick (asking first, which was nice) and it was delicious. I waited more than an hour for my food to come out and paid at the cash register using two methods due to insufficient funds. No one made my food and I kept asking when my food would be available and mind you, there was no crowd and I stood at the side of the pick up table for 1hr+. This is a nice clean Starbucks with friendly staff, computer stations and a bathroom. The location is great, right next to Brooklyn College campus and a mini-plaza with Hillel Place blocked partially from traffic. I've never had any of the food, because i have a personal thing about spending more than five buck in there at a time. (I get that dirty prostitute-of-corporate-America feeling. But that's neither here nor there). I've never had time to sit around in there cuz I'm usually running to class, but it looks pretty comfy. Clean too.
