In reality, the overcharge was about $2.50, and regardless of the amount, customers should not be made to feel uncomfortable for asking to be charged the advertised price. This was especially concerning because it was the second pricing issue I have experienced at this store in a short period of time. Just a week earlier, I was overcharged by $8 on another purchase, although that refund was handled without incident. Everyone makes mistakes, and pricing errors can happen. What matters is how those mistakes are handled. Unfortunately, the lack of professionalism and the way I was treated when I raised a legitimate concern left me with a very negative impression of the store. I always love supporting my local business especially the local corner produce store. They always have fresh fruits and veggies hence their name Best Fresh Farm. Always got great prices and juicy sweet fruits. During Covid-19, they have plastic barrier to protect the cashier and they enforce the social distancing on line to pay. I'm just glad that they were even open during this time so we can get our groceries without it too being expensive; some places have old produces at outrageous prices (the Ctown nearby had moldy cherry tomatoes once you slice them).
