I live not to far away from this produce supermarket. They have a lot of produce and other basic grocery items. They have some national brands and some ethnic brands. The prices are fair but sometimes they have produce that is passed their expiration date. The customer service staff isn't the best either. They can be quite rude and blunt for no reason. read more

There are many great products in the store, however much has no indication of price, neither on sign, nor on individual cans, packages, etc. I would buy a lot more of their merchandise, if I knew how much it cost. How else do I know if I can afford it, prior to getting to the checkout counter? Also, while there is a good variety of produce, a lot of the fruit is not ripe, and the berries were picked prior to rippening. read more

Amazinggggggg As my friend says, this is my little hot spot. It's a 24 hr mini market that is extremely well stocked, has great fresh produce and so many cool things. I am always finding new unique snacks here. There's a lot of Israeli products here as well. Prices here are good. Nice selection of frozen foods, dairy products, pasta, cookies, baking products, a huge dried goods section, great snacks section:):):) There's a lot going on here. And it's very well kept. Hello, My name is Rozaliia. I want to complaint of the product shop calls Produce Market 2000, located at 2518 Avenue U, Brooklyn, NY 11229. My family and I have been private customers of this store because it is close to our house. In addition to the fact that not all products have price tags and a lot of expired goods on the shelves, the store employees absolutely do not know the prices and put different prices into the check. This is not the first time we have noticed that. Today, on December 11, 2023, my husband and I made purchases in this store, on the way home we noticed that the check was bigger than it should to be. We returned to the store to the cashier who served us and informed him about this. He was busy serving other customers, told us to wait. We stepped aside, but he never approached us. After a while, we were called by the woman from another cash desk, she introduced herself as an administrator of that shop. I explained the situation to her, told her about the regular mess in their store, to which she started talking to me very disrespectfully, in raised tones, saying that I should understand that there are a lot of people and they can't cope with it. I politely and calmly explained my position to her, to which I received a boorish treatment, reproaches and discontent. Then a security guard came up, he listened to the whole conversation, and as the only decent person, he apologised for the mess. When the manager checked our products, it turned out that we were charged almost $5, but no one apologised. The cashier, who served, us came up near too. At the moment when he approached, I spoke to the administrator that the employees don't not know the prices of the products. And he, the cashier, having heard this, in a very rude manner, said that I am crazy. To which the guard pushed him aside and told him to leave immediately. We left the shop in a terrible state of mind. I called 311 and filed a complaint. There was a phone number on the check of the store and i decided to call and complain about the employees to higher managers. From the second call, some girl answered, I explained the situation to her and she handed the phone to the same cashier who served us. He lied that he was an administrator and again began to be rude. I said that I complained to 311, to which he sent me in a swearing form and disconnected. I am completely shocked by this behaviour of the store employees. This is not acceptable in my opinion. After such rude behaviour, these people should not work with clients. If there hadn't been a guard, he would have also tried to beat me. I saw a wild aggression in his words and l eyes. I'm planning to sue with this company. read more

I wish I could give a 0 for you, guys! Today I was witnessing an extremely ugly story. A few guys (workers of this "nice" place) caught the guy, who stole a can of soda. They were fight with him, knocked to the ground and called the cops. More then three cops came. Yep, such a crazy robbery. Well, you would think, they are on a duty and doing their job. Hell, NO! The guy, who stole the can of soda, needed emergency, he probably had some health issues and have had dehydration. Thanks for the cops, they called emergency. Now question to the management, are you okay there?! I am just wondering, what the reward have you promised to your employees for catching robbers? Do you have any humanity left? How do you train your employees, like a sort of machines? Guys, that's not right at all! The management is sucks in your store. Idk about the owner. When I think of Produce Market 2000, these things come to mind: fresh fruits and vegetables, amazing Israeli specialty foods, the freshest pita, Achla brand hummus and all at a pretty good value. They're open 24/7 which is super convenient to get that last minute milk and cookies fix. Great dairy section with specialty yogurts and cream cheeses. The turn around is high so all the foods are as fresh as can be. This place is really convenient but there's rarely any parking because of the busy intersection and the staff can be a bit rude at times but that's quintessential Brooklyn. They will always have a return customer in me. read more

This place comes and goes when it comes to quality groceries. It's racked up a HUGE amount of FDA violations since it opened, and the neighborhood seems to have a bittersweet relationship with the place. PROS: It's open 24/7, which is always good for that late night vegetable shopping you've always wanted to do. CONS: 1) I wouldn't recommend buying ANYTHING that isn't prepackaged. All of their fruits and produce look like they were thrown around and hit with brooms multiple times, to the point where they have those ugly brown "bruises" all over them. Not cool. 2) If you DO find a good apple or pear or something, their "good" produce rots or spoils a lot faster than it normally should anyway. 3) Because it's open 24/7, the bright bright light from the place washes over the residential area, which you can imagine must be at least a tad unpleasant at night. 4) Somehow, they manage to make a grocery store NOISY. I don't get it. Seriously. Google their address ("2518 Avenue U"), and ALL that comes up are complains and violations. If I can leave a place with bagfuls of produce that I paid less than $20 for, hell yes I'm a fan!! I agree with the latter reviews that some of the produce is a little, shall we say, suspect. But if you take pride in food like I do, you would take the time to search through the ahem, ahem and find the good stuff. If you want to consume whatever, whenever, that's your prerogative. For me, I look for where the bargains are and I'm willing to take that extra moment to get the freshest produce possible. Prices are fairly competitive and for the most part everything is fresh keep your eye out for the occasional bad lot of fruit and vegetables. They do not have a parking lot they do except credit card and they have a decent selection of dairy as well as Russian oriented stuff inside such as grains And bread products. I was jogging today and I came across this supermarket. What caught my eye was they had the grapes I've been searching for. I went inside and boy, do they have a huge and I mean a huge selection of fresh fruits and produce; possibly one of the largest in the neighborhood. They got a variety of apples, grapes, melons---you name it, they probably have it. Their prices are actually not the best. It's a bit expensive. They also sell groceries too but I didn't have much time to check it out. I would go back there sometime just to take a look to see what they got. I'm a huge fan! read more

To the owner. I was in this morning 6/4/2020 at approx. 7:00am. I live alone and have to shop before crowds because I have a compromised immune system. Safety is a great concern. I know you have your staff wear masks. Unfortunately, there was one young man that was not wearing a mask. I asked him to move so I could come down the aisle, he stepped aside. I asked him to leave the aisle because he was not wearing a mask. He gave a huff. I was ready to go into the grocery area and he was at the door, still not wearing a mask. I asked him to move and he got nasty. "JUST GO!" I then raised my voice and said, "Don't you holler at me, you are the one not wearing a mask!" I told the young lady at the counter to contact the boss and let him know that his employee is not wearing a mask and is endangering the customers. I am writing to make sure you are aware. They seem to have change ownership recently and they have taken over the next door space that used to be Chase. I stop here if I forget something. They are not friendly to the community. For example, they have a spout that drains water in the middle of the sidewalk. This is specially dangerous when the temperature drops and the sidewalk becomes icy. I have also witnessed where they dump all the snow from the sidewalk to the middle of the street. The last time I checked in, I found most of the items in the refrigerator section did not have the price attached. That's a big no no. There are 2 other markets within a block. They have everything i need. Its quick shopping, fast lines, great produce, nice freezer and cheese department.

Lives close by and they are 24/7 which is a plus, I can always pick up some fruits and veges. For the past 2 years i have been shopping here, their quality in fruits def declined. yes, they are Kosher and everything is more pricey than the other regular non-kosher markets, but i do expect the quality in them. The last few visits i been there, i just couldn't but any fruits, again they are more pricey than other but less fine. I found a pack of "good looking" blue berries tonight and when washing them, i noticed many bad ones, i started picking out the bad ones, one by one because i notice they had molds on them. At the end, i spent many concentrated minutes looking and end up with about 1/3 of the originally packet, was very disappointed. Usually it's easy to find metered parking right next to the market or within a block. Im only giving this bad review just because of the cashier who has short and blond(or yellow) hair. (Cashier #2) She was very rude and even talked back on me in her language(Russian) with the different cashier behind me. I was trying to use my quarters and she said she doesnt need quarters since she just filled the cash register. So i asked her if i cant use my coins. Been going here since it opened. Never had a problem since recently, never going back again. My mom went on a Wednesday right before 3 to buy a few things. As she was waiting on line another customer pushing a baby stroller yelled at her and said "I WAS HERE". The cashier then started speaking to her in Russian then said to my mom "yeah she was here.." seeing as she had a baby with her, my mom didn't argue. The cashier rang her up. My mom checked the receipt afterwards and noticed two of the four items she purchased was rung up incorrectly. She called her out on it, asking if the prices were right. Cashier lady didn't know and asked another worker (in Russian). So my mom told her what the prices on the board were. Cashier lady turned around to yell at my mom saying "I DIDNT ASK YOU". Other worker said my mom was right so cashier lady did a refund of the difference. My mom was a little confused so she asked what the refunded amount was. Cashier lady once again yelled at her saying "I CAN'T REFUND IT ALL TO YOU". I called the store to file a complaint but was directed to an answering machine. Good selection of produce at good sometimes great prices. Half the produce is outside, making it more attractive nowadays. Although no longer 24 hours during the Pandemic, they are still open until midnight making it easier to go with few people about. Parking always difficult is easier with so many businesses closed, and it was never a problem late.They have a small selection of organic and exotic produce as well as a good selection of dried fruit at attractive prices. this supermarket is not above average, it is just A-OK and I will explain why. For starters, this supermarket is kosher, so your chances of getting meat are slim to none, unless you want their high priced rib eye kosher certified steaks for 20 bucks a piece, which to me isn't worth the quality. However not every single product in the store is kosher, I was able to find some common cereals and breads that were not listed as kosher, same goes for candy. so its nice to see that the customer is able to choose between kosher and non kosher versions for certain foods, but the kosher items do tend to have a higher price tag on them. The store is organized well for a small amount of space, the frozen foods isle has frozen organic products to frozen fruits and veggies, they also have a section for pickled items like olives, cabbage, salads, and a wide range of Israeli products like hummus, tzaztki sauce, and cheeses from Syria and Israel, and fresh mozzarella too, you will not find any cold cuts here though here is a big issue for me though, in the dairy section of all their milks and cheeses [American and kosher products, so you get a variety in that too] they still keep expired items on the shelves , especially yogurts which is a big risk since it has bacteria in it, I was super disappointed that I ended up buying expired dairy products twice, so now I have to be super careful when I shop, which makes me lower my rating from 4 stars to three. the store however does have good quality fruits, you wont find anything rotting they have various types of tomatoes, cucumbers, arugula , greens, and interesting fruits like cactus pears and dragon fruit/star fruit, that was cool to see, they even have plantains here they also have a nice selection of coffees and teas from Israel, that is probably my favorite part of the store, very fancy stuff and of course I cant forget to mention the amazing cleaning products and personal care products from Israel, some with salt from the dead sea, and amazing products that get down to the dirty business like cleaning your stove, their products work miracles, ten times better and stronger then the American crap they sell also the staff here doesn't speak English, they are either Russian or Spanish speaking for those who do stock and registers, so good luck with that one. big plus about this store is the back room, stocked with amazing snacks like chocolates, gummy bears, gummy worms, twizzlers, starbursts, yummy chips and popcorn, cookies, the list goes on and on, and its next to a huge huge selection of various waters, seltzers[flavored], sodas, juices [from America and Israel] , the nectars are so good here. read more
