In a town that has no shortage of cafes and pick-me-ups, Nova faces some stiff competition. Let's break it down. The building it's in looks almost like a house. If one were to look at it at first glance and not know any better, they might think it was someone's home. This is further evidenced by the fact that the porch looks homey, and the front door looks like what a front door might look like for something as assuming as a house. You have a ramp you could walk up on if you towards the back a little on the left. Even steeping inside, you could mistake this for a house in a vacuum of space. Only the order booth gives a clear indication that this is a cafe. But this just goes to show just how well they pull off the cozy, homey vibe. It feels like the kind of place where you could cook a batch of homemade chocolate cookies, serve it with some nice, cold milk, and we'd have a feast. The people who do work here are nice and helpful as well. So why the four? Well, even though the panini-pressed melt I had ordered was great and the bread it was on had a great crisp to it, you have to remember that there are a lot of cafes in Wilton. Because of this fact, this place needs to have something that makes it stand out in terms of what they have on menu, and so far the only thing that truly stands out is the ambiance. I do want to come back and try their other stuff, and I did enjoy the Mocha Madness I had from them. It's still a fair bit out of my way, so I don't know how often I will be able to come back, but I do want to give their other items a try.

The coffee station however was a mismatch of space for local papers and news taking up the space for cream and milk and syrups (which was oddly missing). The interior fits the town of Ridgefield. Upper-scale. Suave. Lots of mirrors and glass and black surfaces. This is no riff-raff shop like out in Cali! At first I thought it may be a *chicks-preferred* type of puppy-pink peony-kale & baby food smoothie-type coffee shop, but NO there were groups of dudes languishing in chairs with cigarettes and lattes taking a break. Arrived at 9am and there were 8-9 customers. One thing: that entrance door is tough. Weak armed elderly customers with not much strength had trouble yanking it open from outside. The avocado toast was served a bit differently from the traditional trimmings of red pepper flakes and a drizzle of olive oil or the everything seasoning at Dunkin. Honey Joe's serves it with shredded mozzarella, sunflower seeds, and a drizzle of balsamic. I wasn't sure how I was going to like it but it was quite good. What I really like about this place is the spaciousness, which you wouldn't guess from the outside.
