I am a frequent customer of the Starbucks on Summer Street in Stamford and often place my orders through Grubhub. Recently, I had some concerns because my Venti coffee orders seemed to contain less than the expected 20 ounces. I called the store and had the pleasure of speaking with Nikki, the manager. She took the time to thoroughly explain how the beverages are prepared and why the volume can sometimes appear different depending on the drink and customizations. More importantly, she provided helpful suggestions on how I should place my orders going forward to ensure I receive exactly what I'm expecting. What stood out most was Nikki's professionalism and positive attitude. She came to the phone ready to listen, explain, and offer solutions rather than excuses. Typical Starbucks here. Gets super busy most times throughout the day. Especially early mornings and afternoons. There is large shared parking lot, however it does get very congested here since this is a shared parking lot and off the highway. (Exit 6 i95) They are very overwhelmed here which can cause errors and slower than average service. They are quick to correct mistakes and they are relatively friendly for the most park. I usually do order ahead, however most people do the same so sometimes they can still be a wait. It is clean and it is pretty spacious inside. I would recommend this location over going into the Stamford Mall and using that location. This is also a Barnes and Noble and they do have a Starbucks. But this is by far the easier option for in and out coffee and other Starbucks items. read more

If you've like 1/2 hour of time to waste, come here. It's not unusual for Starbucks to be slow on the uptake, but this place may be the slowest Starbucks ever. Wow. And the service generally is weak and the espresso drinks they often get wrong. But ask them to remake a drink? don't! Order online. But then again, don't bother. I've been a customer since they opened at this location there is a manager who refuses to speak or say good morning to me but she says it to the other customer this has been going on for years the other employees working with also noticed and they ask what did you do to her I said nothing I don't know her . The employee ask the manager what is your problem with him and she said he gave me a ticket about 10 + years ago. I don't remember ever seeing this person ever . Can't believe she has been mad at me for alll these years again I don't remember this person all the other employees are amazing one day I hope to bump into the owner . The biggest knock on this Starbucks is the head manager. She is extremely rude and not friendly at all. I have listened to her speak to her staff unprofessionally in front of guests. Besides that, its a typical Starbucks. Usually long lines therefore I order on the app beforehand. read more

The grande macchiato with caramel was delicious. The team members were kind and helpful. I didn't have to wait every long, which was great! I sat there for over an hour talking with a friend. It's a Starbucks that meets the regular standards of one. I came approximately around 6 pm on Sunday to get some programming work done. I ordered a Pumpkin Spice Latte immediately because they are amazing. It was a short line and a short wait. The server was rather curt and didnt even ask for my name. But he got it done and made a great latte. For sure above the cut. Classy Starbucks marketing portraits/paintings decorate the store. Store was very clean and well maintained. I have two complaints. One: there aren't many outlets and the outlets are positioned near couches rather than tables. Two: music was rather loud in the store. Also, had a small issue with someone walking in and verbally aggressively asking me for money. But no serious problems came out of it. Overall a good experience. My son and I go to Tae Kwon Do every Tuesday and Thursday right next to this location and a find ourselves going after class each time. Staff is fun and friendly. My son , who is 7 feels confident ordering his drink and food order even if he messes up because the staff is encouraging to him. Lovely place! This meets the qualifications of a Starbucks, even though you play the waiting game. This Starbucks usually has long lines and by the time you get to the register they might not have what you need. I know that has nothing to do with the Starbucks, but I think that they should stock up more on the things that sell out. Some of their most popular things are the Cake Pops, the Frappuccino's, and of course, their coffee. If you want any of those, I would get to this Starbucks early. Try and get there when there is no line so you will be able to get what you would want. Overall this is an okay Starbucks, so well done, but try and stock up some more on the things that sell out more quickly! read more

This is a smaller Starbucks in a busy shopping plaza, not an enclosed mall but not "just" a strip mall either. We walked from our hotel, had very good drinks and pastries before heading out to other events of the day. Competent and friendly staff, and a nice clean store. This is a great location as it is right by Ridgeway Plaza, so you can grab a drink before and/or after shopping! Nothing exceptional or out of the ordinary here with food or service. Everytime I go to the outdoor shopping center. My go to place to get an iced tea or iced coffee is this local Starbucks. The staff here are super friendly and do their best to get to know their clients and try to do their best to make their day even better. This is one of the better Starbucks in Stamford. It's a convenient area (especially if you workout at LA Fitness) and the baristas always take their time to get your order right. If somehow make a drink incorrectly they agreeably remake it for you. I've only ever had one negative experience with a barista when I went to pick up a mobile order. She was cranky. I didn't really care. I understand bad days I just hope it doesn't become a habit for this barista for be outwardly irritated. When I go here it's almost always quiet and rarely ever crowded and if there are a lot of people they're always mindful of the noise level. read more

Personally, the employees look tired and unhappy, I came on a Sunday morning, it's busy, but slow, a lot of customers ordering ahead which is what they advertise, but they could not efficiently keep up with the orders. We were asked our names at the cashier register, but some employees were not using names or mentioning if it was a to-go order. I'm pretty sure someone else grabbed the wrong persons order. The coffee is standard Starbucks, no complaints there. The service is what I find inexcusable. There is always enough staff, usually more at this location than the mall spot. However it always takes twice as long to get through the line and then wait for your drink. The people here don't ever seem to want to be there either which doesn't help either. I've always been critical of the Starbucks order system of making people with a simple drink such as iced coffee wait for 6 moch frap with double whip to be made first..? why starbucks why? Long wait - one person in front of me; four employees and took 20 minutes to make my latte. Need to work on serving customers who walk in vs mobile orders. I'd place a mobile order if it was more organized and sanitary. They have a very small counter space and pile everything haphazardly. One customer after another comes in, picks up, touches half the orders searching for theirs... Also, need to work on customer service skills towards non-regular customers. I travel here at least quarterly and staff never ask for my name. I guess it's "turkey bacon." This shop is quiet quaint and cute. I like to go here and study in the evenings. It is close to my home. I'm currently a student at uconn so it is a great little place for students. It is never too loud when I go. The service is great. The employees seem to know many of the regulars and they are very friendly. I came a few weeks ago and thought I gave the barista a 20 but really it was a 10 dollar bill. They offered to count the till. Oops my fault. But they were very polite and accommodating. I would recommend this shop if you want to sit down and study. There is a large brown table as well as a little window front bar in which to sit at. read more

Today I went to get a ice coffee. I handed the older male cashier a 20 (100% sure it was a 20, I just gone to a arm). When he handed me back only change for only if it was 10. Everyone makes mistakes, so I politely said I think I gave you a 20. He briskly responded no you have a me a ten. I've been in retail management many years, a customer isn't always right, but I've counted down many till to at least to check if there was a mistake made, this was not offered to me at all. I don't understand the appeal of Starbucks. The only thing I like there are the Fraps and the one I got the other day from this one was terrible.
