Absolutely love this place! I've been to a lot of their locations and this is one of my favorite ones. This Maman is spacious and has plenty of seating. I love their drinks, snacks and food here. They also have an array of mugs, clothes, bags and coffee for purchase. I need to come back and get more of their merch. It's all so cute. I had an oat milk latte, piña colada overnight oats and a cookie. Everything was delicious. I've come here for breakfast and lunch too. I was going to give this restaurant a second positive review but had to adjust after my experience.... We went to Maman in Greenwich for breakfast this morning. The food itself was good and the space is beautiful, but the service/setup felt confusing and a little awkward. We waited in line and were given the next available table, but once we sat down, we were told we needed to stand back up and order at the counter -- even though we had just been waiting in line. Thankfully, the waiter did agree to come over and take our order at the table, which we appreciated. I spent about $10 on a latte and $20 on the egg ratatouille, so I thought it was pretty crazy that when I asked for butter for my toast, I was then prompted to tap my card for an additional $2. The toast did not come with butter, and it felt awkward to have a payment terminal brought over for something that usually comes with toast or is offered as a basic side. Overall, the food and atmosphere were nice, but the ordering process and small service details made the experience feel less smooth and welcoming than expected. read more

We had a morning to explore Greenwich and this was the first coffee spot we saw, so we decided to check it out. It is truly adorable in here, very rustic and cozy. We waited for about 10 minutes before someone took our order, which was a little frustrating because there were a lot of employees working, but it was like they were all too busy to take our order. It was also strange because there was no one else in line! Eventually someone did take our order. I went with an iced latte and an almond croissant. Both were good! I'd come again for the coffee. There are lots of beverage and food options to choose from, which is almost overwhelming, but nice to have. The calories are listed for every item, which is good for those mindful of their calorie intake but easily could deter someone from choosing something that would appeal to your taste due to the high calories. Some food can be made gluten free. The omelette, wilde salad, squash salad, papa's breakfast bowl granola parfait, and oats are naturally gluten free without request. Desserts are not gluten free friendly. My partner had the tartine au saumon (can be made gf upon request and additional charge) and felt it was super flavorful, fresh, and filling. When I work in my NYC office, I'm close to about 5 Maman locations, so being able to enjoy a nice coffee on the weekend while in Greenwich is just a bonus. This location is very busy yet very spacious. I would suggest going early if you want to avoid lines. Note: the cell service is pretty bad (Verizon customers, this is for you) so either order on the app before arriving or you won't be able to get points, if that's your thing. read more

Food was really good but the staff were super rude and unhelpful. The cashier had her laptop out on the counter next to the register and was watching Netflix. Was visibly annoyed when we interrupted her show to place an order. Once the order was in she just didn't give it to us. There was one other couple besides us in the restaurant it was otherwise empty. We sat for probably 15 minutes without our food or drinks before I went up to check on it. The girl paused her show again. Picked up the item we ordered which was right next to her, placed it in a bag, and handed it to me. I guess she couldn't do that when we ordered. Absolutely awful experience! I went there with my husband & toddler after some shopping. I was flabbergasted by the state of the shop. The staff was non attentive as the place was overrun by weekend patrons. Even a waitress was eating a pastry out of a bag in plan site at the service station. Several people waiting for their drinks (more than 10 minutes) from a backlogged barista who was more concerned refilling flavored syrup containers than being nice to customers. I was given the incorrect drink size, but was gaslit by servers that they only serve "one size" of this drink... which is untrue. I strongly consider people going elsewhere for better food/drink and service. This place has gone downhill since the opening. read more

Have been to many Mamans in other locations (NYC, Jersey City, etc.) and this one is an outlier. Strange experience. Went to this one previously without incident, but today my daughter and I went for a mid-afternoon latte. Walked in a little after 2:50 and as we were in line a barista shouts out (on what is likely the busiest shopping day of the year, the line was nearly out the door) "we close in five minutes". We checked online and noted the "special closing time" on Black Friday of 5 p.m. We figured perhaps they were just closing the kitchen, or even if they were actually closing two hours early they'd lock the door and serve the people already in line. Alas, no. Another employee then told people at approximately 3 p.m. that "we're closed" and to leave. Bizarre. Unlikely to be back. There's a thousand ways to kill a brand; do better please. read more

This is a pleasant addition to the cafe scene on Greenwich Ave, which I feel has always been lacking in the cafe departmemt. The place is pretty large with wooden chairs and tables inside and a few small tables outside with cute little umbrellas. They offer coffee, tea, desserts and a nice selection of food items. This is part of a chain so you will also see some cookbooks by Maman there too. I tried their nutty chocolate chip cookie to start with and it was pretty dense in flavor and filling. They carry tea by Sloane, which was very nice as well. The food items looked appealing too, but will come back to try them. I love Maman and this may have been the first location I ever went to. But I find Greenwich to be a poor experience compared to NYC stores and I have also been in DC. Every time I come here it's super disorganized and it's a minimum of a 15 minute wait when sometimes I am just getting black tea- their signature house brand- with lemon to go. Compare that with my experience today at a NYC location near Grand Central where I was in/out in less than 5 minutes. Its a shame too because this is a nice pretty space and I have met friends and relatives here. But they really need to improve operations and make it more efficient for the customer. read more

The newest hidden gem in Greenwich, CT! Maman just opened up their brand new location in Greenwich, CT! We got to visit on their opening day to try out their decadent desserts and pastries, along with the refreshing coffees and teas! We got to try the s'mores cookie pistachio chocolate croissant, pain au chocolat a mango passion fruit croissant, and an almond croissant. For our drinks, we got the honey lavender hot chocolate and an iced Matcha latte with pistachio milk. What a let down... I have been looking forward to trying Maman since I heard they would be opening a location where I live in Palm Beach, Florida. I happened to pass by this location while visiting Greenwich, and I can't say I was too impressed. My chai tea latte was extremely watery didn't have much flavor. My mother in law had a similar experience with her honey lavender latte. The chocolate chip cookie was burnt and crispy, and tasted kind of cheap... Two small drinks and three cookies were $30. My favorite part of the experience was the cafe itself, I loved the vibe. But this one was a miss for me. I'm in the area and looking for a simple brunch, Google recommended this cafe, so I wanna give it a try. It's a beautiful setting, when I walk in there's a huge counter with pastries cakes, looks delicious. I started my order for one Andrea's and the girl entered 8, I almost ended up paying over 100 bucks, good thing I checked, she kept talking and laughing with the girl next to her, ok non of my business but can you finish my order? Then I walked to Sephora thinking it might take a while. When I came up after 20 minutes, my drink is still unpacked, I got to ask for a lid, the girl goes hmmm it's over there, in that demeanor tone. So if I have asked for to go, why is my drink still outside exposed without a lid on? Ok whatever, I went over to pick up my real food order, again not packed, no utensils, no napkins absolutely nothing. When I asked to pack it, she gave me a stare, then I went across the room looking for utensils and maybe some napkins, I had to come back ask her again where can I find utensils, then she threw one inside my bag. How rude can all this experience be? It's not just one staff it's from check out to drink to food to packing. Man you got tooo many rude unprofessional kids. It was time to step in and check out this new cafe people are talking about. The interior is large and airy and cute with friendly staff to help you decide. There are tables inside and 3 tables outside but that was not enough for the number of people interested in sitting. There was a sign mentioning they are awaiting permits or permission for additional seating. One side of the counter has a beautiful display of pastries and all looked so yummy. They also have a nice selection of lunch items. We ordered Claires salad and the honey mustard dressing made it so delicious. Lettuce, avocado, bacon, egg $16 for and it was average size portion. We added chicken $5 so in my opinion this was a pricey salad and it didn't leave me satisfied. Lettuce is cheap, go ahead fill the bowl. On my way out I decided to grab a couple of desserts for my son to bring home, and chose the chocolate croissants. For myself, I took pastry that was banana flavored, I don't remember the name. He and I both inhaled our desserts. The banana flavored puffed pastry was unbelievable! While chatting at the counter with one of the ladies I found out pastries are not baked on site, but if she didn't mention that one would never know. What an adorable cafe! I stopped in just a couple days after they opened, and even though they were super busy, their staff was very well-trained and ensured that everyone's needs were met. We snagged a table and enjoyed the pain au chocokat, their nutty chocolate chip cookie (may I add this was featured on Oprah's Favorite Things, so you know it's good!), and our iced lattes. A new spot on the Avenue?? And it's French? I'm in! Upon entering, I felt like I had been swooped away to another land. It's airy, calm, and cute inside. It's pretty big as well. I didn't know what to sample first! There are a lot of options with non-traditional ones too. I ended up picking a chocolate croissant and a pistachio chocolate croissant. Isn't that a great way to test a French bakery?? They tasted good but lacked the crispy exterior that I was hoping for. I also had an iced latte which did not disappoint!! They use Parlor coffee for those who want to know. Delish!! The staff is mixed with various ages but very friendly and professional. It was busy and they were managing pretty well considering it looked like on-the-job training was also happening. Been wanting to try this place because it looks so cute! They have so many pastries and baked goods, it was hard to pick. We ended up getting a classic chocolate chip cookie, matcha cake and a homemade Oreo. All were so delicious and tasted homemade. I can't wait to go back to try the coffee. Service for a croissant ordered by my wife Haruko and coffee in paper cup. Server was Asian too. Manager apologized but said they had to wash cups despite us eating in the cafe. My wife will not come back and left full coffee even after manager brought in cup like the latte I ordered. Wish I could send this complaint directly to owner of the company. At the time the place was not busy. After we got her coffee in the paper cup, my croissant l, and my latte, then it got busy. This place has a very pretty interior but the pastries are not fresh. It seems like everything is delivered to the location because there is no smell of baking even in the morning. (I'm in the area every morning) I also got an iced tea it was nothing special.
