    Lobster Roll ($32+)
    Sawako Y.

We came to Bistro V for a weekend brunch and dined outside. There was some shade and it was nice to sit outside. I love lobster rolls in CT and decided to try this one. It was covered in sauce, though, and you couldn't taste the freshness of the lobster. The french fries tasted like they'd been sitting there, too. If you're looking for a good lobster roll, I'd recommend going elsewhere.

Great outdoor patio! Very covered and out of sunlight. Everything was great until dessert. We ordered a lemon tart to split and it didn't taste quite right. Upon further examination, there was mold on top of the crust. I would hope this was a one off thing and someone forgot to rotate then pastries in the case.

Nothing French about this place. Yes it may be great spot to have coffee or a drink, but I will not return. Being European I am spoiled by the experience of true coffee houses and pastry shops. This location was not welcoming at all, the bus boy told us to pick out a table. We chose to sit in center of the room as I like to people watch. Most of the pastries we asked for were not available and the ones we chose were not that great. I was also naive expecting my cappuccino to have a design on top a leaf or a heart, even a middle finger would have been funny, but no it was just plain. Not a fan of this shop.

We had a small gathering at the Bistro V for brunch. You definitely need a reservation. The place gets very packed. Also, parking is hard to find be prepared to walk a bit. Our waiter was good and checked on us a few times. They don't rush you. I liked our waiter giving us a few recommendations. I order eggs Benedict's and French toast with berries. Everything was good but wanted to try everything. Our group shared a few plates together. Overall the place was good it wasn't loud. The decor was nice not too much made it a nice feeling. It's great for everyone. After you're done you can walk around little town to burn those calories! I highly recommend the Bistro V . I hope to go back but this time for dinner

Galentine's Day Saturday brunch for two. Started out great as we were lucky we didn't have a wait for a table. We ate every last piece on all of our plates!! Quiche spinach, croque monsieur (add egg) which I think makes it a croque madam, side salads with each. Consumed some cocktails and definitely ordered two desserts. Would recommend as a solid brunch option.

Bistro V is the first French restaurant I've ever visited, and like many of the Greenwich Ave restaurants, everything was top tier! First, I want to give a shout out to the bartender, because he made one of the best mocktails I've had! It was a fruit punch one and made me feel like I wasn't missing out by not drinking. All of the food was delicious, and the highlights for us were definitely the short rib and the chicken paillard. We also had some of the best chocolate truffles we've ever had for dessert! I totally want to come back for breakfast/brunch, and I think their pastries must be amazing too based on the quality I experienced in everything else. Love the bistro feel and how cozy the restaurant was!

Music playing and spilling out into the street Very safe in to tens of masks and gloves. The Chicken BLT Lettuce had a good crunch The chicken was moist Cream avocado a little bitter Tomatoes were fresh, bright and toothsome Sandwhich a bit slippery Fries perfectly cooked and well spiced. Service was poor; upon dropping off meal nobody came by for 20 minutes.

Went with a friend for lunch and the food was delicious, also a great place to chat. Super service, did not feel rushed at all.

Skirt steak with asparagus, truffle fires and red wine sauce- love the description, didnt love the execution. Steak was too charred- blackened, turning it bitter and not good for people to consume meat blackened that way! Grill marks are one thing but this was too much black. Didnt taste good. Meat itself was also pretty flavorless and a bit chewy. Red wine sauce wasnt great, and I love almost all red wine sauces! Asparagus were cooked well. Also the fries- these are sysco food service fries. A restaurant at this caliber should do better. Go to the elm in new canaan, try their fries. And while youre at it, try to up your ingredient quality they way they do- no seed oils, etc. makes a huge difference and would play well with the greenwich crowd!

On weekends, they have a two-course lunch pre fixe, which has a wide variety of options to choose from, which was great. I chose: - Appetizer: Tuna Tartare - Main: Mushroom & Asparagus Risotto The restaurant wasn't full but the service was a bit slow. Especially after our appetizers, we had to wait quite some time for our main dish to be served. The dishes were well-presented, although not the best seasoned. The tuna tartare had too much soy sauce on it and you couldn't taste the tuna. The risotto, on the other hand, was a bit bland. Depending on your preference, I'd recommend trying other dishes.
