Recently stopped by NY Caffeine on a whim. It's walking distance from the train station, which can be very convenient if you're looking to grab something on your commute. I would have given this amazing coffee shop five stars but one of the staff members wasn't really friendly I felt twas the customers. The guy who is in my one of my pictures he was amazing. I was visiting this area because I was in town for a three day convention and some of the friends told me about this place. I checked out yelp, found the location and picked myself up some items for my train ride back home. I got an iced spiced chai latte,and an iced cookie butter for tomorrow morning's work day. My oldest daughter got an iced vanilla latte and my other two daughters ordered a chocolate and a cinnamon muffin. I later learned that they were giving 15% off for visitors visiting the convention center and because I missed that opportunity, I was instead offer an assortment of complementary danishes. I have to say my iced spiced chai latte was delicious! So go that I ordered another one in the larger size to take home. I wished all chais would taste like this. They have set the standard. It was so smooth with the amazing yummy spices you could taste, just really good. My daughters, all three had no complaints. They loved the muffins, although they said it should have been warm up, but still was very soft, moist and fresh. I wished that on my second order, the girl who rang up our order would have honored that 15% perfect off because we still made another order after finding out but she didn't and she wasn't very pleasant like the guy, so I just let it go, it was a spiritual weekend for me and I didn't want to let her irritated me. I even included a tip because the male staff member was great. The space is very cafe friendly, plenty of seating, nice ambiance with relaxing music playing. I was honestly expecting a lot more out of this place but it wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be. But it's not bad, it's just fine. Service [5/5]: The workers here were extremely friendly and made sure we knew what we wanted, and how we wanted it too. They also gave us a free dubai chocolate croissant for the "long wait" when it was really like 2 minutes, we didn't even complain or think it was taking long so it was really considerate of them to let us have one for free. They're very nice employees! Atmosphere [5/5]: The place is really nice and a great lounge. Open area with good amount of seating there were people doing work there while also drinking whatever they ordered. Music was a little too loud but honestly still a great lounge area. Food: [2.5/5]: Heres where it gets shaky, I personally didn't love what I got, and I specifically say love and not like beause I did like the food but it's nothing to rush to try and honestly underwhelming as well. Crepe (Strawberries, Bananas, Nutella, sweetened condensed milk) 2.5/5. It was fine and for some reason crispy like a potato chip. I've never had a crepe with that texture and it was weird. The crepe also wasn't really sweet and was kinda tough to eat. Strawberry lemonade 1/5. I didn't really enjoy it very much. It wasn't sweet and it tasted like a watered down Kool-Aid. I only really drank it because it was hot today. I would've probably gotten a water or something else. This was horrible. Dubai croissant 2/5 for my first time trying a Dubai chocolate anything that would sure be my last time. The croissant itself is delicious but all of the extra stuff was disgusting in my opinion. It was very nice of him to give it to us for free but had I known what it tastes like before I would'e turned it down. The croissant alone is very delicious though. tldr: Overall outside of aesthetics I doubt I see myself coming here again. The food was bland, the service was great, and so was the ambiance. But realistically you're coming here to eat and drink not sit around. So I'd probably go somewhere else unless you're willing to take a chance here. read more

I kept seeing this new coffee shop all over tiktok, so we finally decided to drive and check it out. We got an iced vanilla latte and an iced shaken espresso. Since it's super popular right now, it was still pretty busy even in the middle of the afternoon. There were only three people working -- one at the register, one on food, and one making drinks. It took a bit to get our order since there was just one person on drinks, and honestly, the work area looked a little messy, which was kind of a turnoff. That said, the coffees were good! And I totally get the hype about the container -- it's super cute and definitely part of the appeal. read more

Taking a walk in that neighborhood as I waited for The Black Keys concert to start, I tumbled upon this place. At 7pm it was pretty empty and I decided to get some sugar. They have a pretty cool looking desserts, cookie Croissants, cookies and some fresh lemonade. I decided to get the strawberry lemonade that gets mixed together, bubbles added and then sealed like a coke can which was pretty cool. I also tried their chocolate chip cookie croissant and it was delicious. The place is attached to a hotel type apartment complex, so draws the local residents. The folks behind the counter were very pleasant and the service was good. Now that Bridgeport is attracting some great musical acts, I will be visiting this place more frequently. read more

I love the atmosphere in this coffee shop from the light wood color on the walls to the leather couches. I was surprised by their large menu and offerings. They serve pastries, coffee, sandwiches, smoothies and much more. I ordered the Dubai croissant and a classic caramel latte. The container the latte is served in was so cute! Visited the shop twice. The first time I visited it was super busy so I did not want to judge them for my order. I had to throw my order out. It was not good at all. My daughter had to toss her coffee as well. Went back about a week or two later and my coffee had to be fixed twice. It was not very good or hot. The avocado salmon toast was not toasted and really salty. The avocado and egg toast was not good. The egg was a yellow disc like shape, not good. Not many people there and I still waited over 30 mins or so for my order. The workers were kind and polite. But for $40 for one coffee, 2 toasts and a chocolate croissant it was not worth it. I will try again in a few months. Maybe they need to find their flow a bit more. I wish them the best. Tiktok spoke so highly of this spot. I went in with my 2 friends for coffee and food. We all ordered our coffee and it was good. My two friends received their food after around 15 minutes and we were just waiting for mine. We waited there for 25 minutes before they asked if we were waiting for anything else. We said a grilled cheese and it took them 10 minutes to give me this. We waited for almost an hour to get 1 latte, Dubai brownies, and a crepe. We placed our order at 2:19pm and got all of our order at 3:15pm. The person making the crepes had a bracelet on that was touching the crepe when she was patting it down. There was no proper spatula to flip the crepes with. It was flipped by hand and the finished hot crepes were dragged by hand into the box container. When we arrived to the place all the seats were already taken by people waiting for their orders. I ordered a hot latte but got an iced latte. The one good thing we got from this experience was a free Dubai croissant and that was because it wasn't communicated to the person making it that we canceled the order. She was understanding and generous and gave it to us anyway. Management needs to seriously make a change to speed things up. No one should have to wait 45 minutes or so for a coffee and pastry. read more

It is such a shame that I did not get to try out this place, to experience what I have read in the reviews on google. Because of my experience going here ... it was my first and last time visiting this establishment. I ordered a large hot chocolate and a bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant at 9:39 am. I patiently waited for my order as I watched orders continued to accumulate both before and after mine. The gentleman who was responsible for making the food orders appeared to be clueless and constantly stepped away from the food station to speak to the other young ladies that worked there. I watched as a customer who ordered for me inquire about her bagel/cream cheese which he then decided to make. So I'm like okay cool, maybe I'm next ... at this time it's 9:45a.m., when he was done with her bagel/cream cheese ... I asked him if he was going to make my bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich in which he looks at me with this clueless look I mentioned earlier ... and asks me, "now?" I said yes, he then asks me if I," placed my order." Like why would I ask you to make me a sandwich if I didn't order it ?! (Hand over face) ... I then proceeded to head back to the cashier and explained to her that I could no longer wait because I'm on the clock (break) ... now it's 9:55am ... the gentleman then comes over to hand me the refund ... totally ignoring the fact that he still needs to catch up on orders, as he then proceeds to argue with me and tell me that he still have to make other peoples orders who were before me ... so I responded that, "If I've been here for nearly 20 mins and they still don't have their orders, then something is wrong!" before I walked out. read more

I have never left a review but decided to make a Yelp account for this place today. It's a quaint and aesthetic place for sure. I absolutely love the design and ambiance of this place. Definitely a nice spot to sit and do some work or relax with friends. I also appreciate that it's open late as I come to Bridgeport at odd hours sometimes. The food is okay at best. I had ordered a Nutella crepe with some additional toppings along with a generic latte. Only 3 people were working and it was a little busy when I came, so perhaps that's why they were really slow with my latte. But about 20 minutes had passed, and I still saw the crepe machine just off. People who had ordered after me had already received some orders. I asked one of the girls if my crepe is going to be ready soon. She looked at me confused and asked if I had ordered a crepe as well. I mean...I wouldn't have asked if I hadn't ordered it. I saw the register print out a ticket of what I had ordered, but somehow they forgot I had ordered a crepe and what I wanted in it. Fast forward 10 minutes, it's ready thankfully but I see that there are toppings in there that I didn't order! Mind you, the staff had asked before starting to make it what toppings I requested, but they forgot in those 10 minutes. I brought this up to them, and they were apologetic, putting the correct toppings without an additional charge.
