Boy oh boy do I have a place I haven't been to in a hot minute to write about! So while this location might never have been amazing in any sense of the word, I've also never had a problem with this Starbuck's. To be quite honest, there were a few locations in Fairfield County that were a lifeline of mine back in the 2010's, and this was one of them. Of course, it's been years since I've made the walk over here, but given that the Waterbury branch is down to bus service for the foreseeable future and I happened to have time this morning, I decided to pay an old stop of mine a much overdue visit. The first thing I noticed today was that they redecorated the place since the last time I came. The counter where you get your drinks is longer now, and the shelves were redone. It's never been a particularly dirty Starbuck's, but based on this visit, it seems to me like they get with the times they're in and so it felt so clean today that it was borderline accosting. I've also never had problems with the customer service here. Granted, it's Bridgeport, so it does feel a bit grumpier than a Starbuck's at a more rural locale, but the people were still nice enough here. Today, I decided to try something new order the S'Mores Cold Brew. This is actually my first time having a Starbuck's Cold Brew. Typically, I'm either getting a Refresher drink or a Blended Frap. Sometimes though, it's nice to switch things up. I would love to come here during the holiday season for my Peppermint Mocha tradition that I've always loved doing. Since the Waterbury branch is on bus service and so I'm back to switching trains in Bridgeport full-time instead of only doing that in the evenings and doing Stratford in the mornings, I'll probably check in here occasionally during this stretch of time. read more

The service was unacceptable. I ordered vanilla bean petite scones, and the glaze was completely melted. When I brought it to the attention of the two women at the front who were making the drinks, I politely asked if I could get a different one. Instead of helping, they responded with a rude attitude and dismissively told me they were all the same--without offering any apology or attempt to fix the issue. This level of customer service is extremely disappointing. She was also on her phone at the front scrolling and talking with AirPods. She was hiding her name tag. I love starbucks. And this one made my quad espresso perfect. The extra whip cream was "extra whip cream." My drink didn't look skimpy, and sometimes it does. But they made it right at this location. I appreciate it. Hate when I have to ask for something that I put in my order already. It happens at some locations. read more

My god what a train wreck this Starbucks is. The wait in the drive thru was over 30 mins.. we waited at the window (after we paid) for 13 minutes. Yes... 13 minutes. I've never experienced anything like this in my life.. never returning. They could give out free drinks for the year and I'd never go back... to make matters worse, they got the order wrong. I stopped by the other day for an afternoon pick me up. 16 minutes to get a hot espresso. The staff seems genuinely nice and friendly and want to help. However, the staff didn't seem to be on the same team. One barista seemed to have 4x the orders of the other barista who spent much of her time standing around. No one seemed to be stocking ice or coffee beans as both machines ran dry while I stood there. Several patrons had the hot food already but still waiting for drinks. I'm sure Starbucks has a service process but it wasn't working here. It was like watching a train wreck. Lots of staff appearing to work hard but not producing any product. Counters covered in product, ingredients not put away, milk and other perishables left in the barely air conditioned atmosphere without ice or other cooling. The best Starbucks I come here mostly in the morning on weekdays love coming here staff is nice and always friendly and welcoming.

This used to be my go-to morning place I'd order ahead and pick it up seamlessly. Numerous times this month they've shut off mobile order-ahead but today's experience was the last straw. Ordered ahead to pickup in store yet all the doors were locked and only drive thru was open. Line was twenty cars deep in a parking lot which was apparently designed by a six year old. Waste of a morning as the drive through is garbage and takes forever it's faster if folks park and walk all of ten feet. This is the first time coming here and as soon as I walked in it felt welcoming. Once I got to the register, meeting Isaiah was a blast. While ordering my Grande Gingerbread Oakmilk Chai he asked the right questions to fínese the drink. He had such great personality and genuine positivity! The running joke for my crew is how they will upset Dave. Each time i go in (only once a week to not piss Dave off) we joke about what coffee I want, that there is a sign for, that is not there. WHY POST A COFFEE IF YOU DON'T BREW IT AFTER 10 AM!!!!!! Now, if i want to wait an additional 10 minutes, they do offer the pour over. So i tried it............TERRIBLE!!!!! I drink my coffee black so there is no way to cover up the taste of a bad brew. Either brew a lighter roast all day, take down the sign for the coffee after 10 am...........or don't bother! Today they can't open the doors due to "safety reasons" so I've been sitting in the drive through for another 15 minutes. So I barely go to Starbucks. But when ever they make a new frap, I always gotta try it. So my boyfriend told me about the zombie frap, and I just couldn't pass it up. So we got in there. First off, the woman that was doing our orders didn't smile once. She was muttering, barely able to hear her, she didn't ask if we wanted our receipts, and you know, over all rude and not caring. Presentation of the frap was very nice. Basically just like the pic. I don't know what they flavored the whipped cream with maybe grape maybe raspberry? But it was not very sweet and almost tasted like they used fake butter. I was told this was green apple and caramel. The green apple flavor was so subtle that it almost tasted like straight up sugar milk and was just making me sick XD then I tried mixing in the "caramel" but it tasted more like chocolate and chocolate green apple is NOT good. The workers see you standing there when the mobile order is obviously ready and just feel awkward and don't help you get it. This location hit the bed. Lobby is never open, drive thru takes 25 minutes for 8 cars.... Absolutely wild. Idk why you guys can't just pay your staff a living wage. It's so painfully obvious what Starbucks is going through across the country. I wanted to write this review because although they were out of some of the things I wanted, customer service was fantastic. I think it is very important for people to show kindness, and when they do, to get recognized for it, at least in the work environment. Sol, and employee, was so sweet and kind it was my first interaction with a person today and it definitely lifted my spirits and starting my day off smooth. It's been several time I gave them A chance to make the drinks right, but for whatever reason, there is a full glass of ice when you ask for light ice, the drinks are not made the way you ask them, they are out of what you order or like today, they took my order for a Strawberry Açaí refresher and no strawberries in it. I asked the " charming " woman at the drive-thru and I'm told with an attitude that they are out of it... then communicate and I would have taken something else. Too much playing around and attitude and no acknowledgement of customers at the drive up speaker so you think it's broken and have to order at the drive thru window; so then you hold up the line of cars behind you for 15 min. to order 1 drink because you're ordering at the window. Everyone here is friendly but the wait time is ridiculous. I order a black venti or grande iced coffee every day and the wait time used to be null. Now it takes 10 or 15 minutes for the order. Unbelievable. It should never take this much time for a drink with ice and pre made drink. This Starbucks is on my way to work, but so is the one in west haven and I will be frequenting that one from now on. Came back a year later. Still awfully slow. One customer in front of me. Great customer service half of the time. They often run out of things (pumpkin, heavy cream, nitro lids etc) and the service is not very fast, sometimes you get caught in the drive through in the morning or afternoon and it is so slow, feels like the longest wait ever when your in a hurry. I can tell a lot of the time my order is ready and paid for as I'm at the drive thru window but they continue making other drinks before just handing me mine. I ordered one of those pumpkin cream cold brews recently and it looked different with no foam and no nitro lid. I asked why no foam? And the barista said it's the same thing but they ran out of heavy cream so there wouldn't be foam. Uhh tell me this as I'm ordering so I can change my mind about it since what your giving me is not what I ordered. The drinks a lid the time here don't come out correct.
