I work in the area of the Starbucks on Arlington Boston Hilton. I was a little hungry this morning. I went in and read the sings but did not see bagels and cream cheese. I was the only costumer in the store, still no one spoke to me at all. No good morning. No can i help you, they just stood and watched mr read the sign. When I asked if they had bagels and cream cheese the person behind the counter motioned to the other end of the counter and said something about the sign on the counter. When I did not see it on that sign, i said "so you guys do not have bagels and cream cheese". She then pointed to the bagels behind the counter glass. I am 62 and I remember costumer service. Don't come here in the morning. I have traveled all over the country and this is the busiest non drive thru location I have ever experienced. The previous night I wanted to order a cold brew, but the app would not let me. I came is and got good service. But at 8AM it's a nightmare! I ordered on the mobile app and it took 15 minutes to get the order. We were all crowded around the pickup area and the baristas kept asking if anyone was waiting on a mobile order. And each time we hoisted our phones in the air like reporters asking questions at the White House. They would ask what we were waiting for and tell us just a moment. I'm wondering if something was wrong with their systems because when I finally got my order it had my name in marker, not the typical order system sticker with your name and order details. read more

I'm sorry Timmy that I used cash but to snatch it out of my hand, give me $1.00 short change (consider that your tip) and then simply say "it'll be over there" while motioning with your thumb was overtly rude. This is a high volume store I get it but it gave opportunity to watch Timmy interact with others to see that his treatment of me was decidedly different and rude; don't be an asshole Timmy, no one likes an asshole. read more

In the same building as the Boston Park Plaza Hotel, this Starbucks has a lot of seating, lines that move fast, free Wifi, reusable hot and cold cups (I bought one!), and super LGBTQ friendly staff. My venti caramel frappuccino drink was served just as I ordered, quickly, and in my reusable cup! The condiments station is in a corner and gets very crowded. Highly recommended! read more

The drinks were made quickly and correctly- which is all you really need to know in a Starbucks review :) We visited here several times while in town. Service was terrible. There was a girl named ARI - Pari - something like that. Working with her headphones on. I was trying to ask her a question and she totally ignored me. I know she saw me. Another associate had to come from the other side of the store to answer my question. She was very disrespectful (ARI-Pari). I then asked her another question - she looked up for a second and realized I was talking to her and she looked down again - totally ignoring me. This is one of my new favorite study spots in Boston! It's one of the nicest Starbucks I've seen in the area, most likely because it is attached to the Park Plaza hotel. I've only done mobile order to go so I don't know for sure how good or bad service is but they seemed pretty pleasant in the span of the 5-6 hours I was studying there the other night. It definitely gets busy around the afternoon time but it dies down as night comes. Interior is absolutely beautiful and spacious. The big island table in the middle has so many plugs underneath and it also has hooks for your bags/jackets. This is perfect for people who need to use their laptop while studying, like me and a lot of the other people doing work there. Bring a jacket if you plan to stay for a while - the AC gets pretty strong! read more

This Starbucks is conveniently located in the Boston Park Plaza. We mobile ordered two lattes and a two different breakfast sandwiches. We arrived in under 10 minutes to find our entire order ready. The staff works quick and was serving everyone with a smile. Our coffees and food were all perfectly prepared. Seating is PLENTIFUL, with a lot of comfortable and work-friendly areas as well. They advertise having items, but when you attempt to order or when you arrive, nothing is there. Whoever is making the green tea, either isn't cleaning the equipMent it's old tea or straight up doesn't know how to make a simple cup of tea. Plus, it looks completely different than what it should be, and it tastes horrific. When you try to ask them nicely to correct, you get an attitude. I know the service industry is a thankless job, but as someone who did that - I make sure I give respect, & are probably overly nice. To overcompensate and not look like a complete Karen, but you get the opposite in return. I know it's in a hotel, and that usually means crap service - but at least know what you're doing. read more

Updating my previous review as they seem to have taken my suggestions to heart. As previously mentioned, this is the nicest Starbucks I've been to interior-wise. The food and drinks are consistent with what you come to expect, although they do have nice ceramic cups and plates for those staying in the café. The baristas are nice and competent, much more so than other Starbucks'. Given the layout of the restaurants with two longer tables, it's the perfect location to come in an afternoon and do work. I typically spend my weekends here, grabbing some snacks and a few coffees throughout thee day. There are also several smaller sections of comfortable leather chairs. The location is inside the newly renovated yet historical Park Plaza hotel, but with its own separate entrance along the side. It's situated in a very affluent neighborhood near the Arlington MBTA stop, just across from the Boston Commons park. Although there are several other Starbucks' in the area, including a few closer to my apartment, I intentionally make the trek out here for those days where would like to sit down for a few hours. No other Starbucks location come close to the cleanliness, interior, or just the general vibe of this location. Cannot recommend it highly enough. read more

We met a friend here on the morning of New Year's Day, and the line was super long (to be expected for a holiday, with so many guests staying). Been going here since it opened and took pressure off of their Berkeley street location. This location seems to serve three different customer pools- local workers/residents, airline crews staying at the hotel, and convention groups in the hotel. I think they do a good job of managing all three. Yes the line can be long when all three show up at the same time but the team manages it. I also think they managed the COVID Re-opening well. They were diligent but polite about enforcing the rules and - like the rest of us- are trying to find a way forward. I look forward to the day when the seating opens up again hopefully soon. read more

The only thing I don't like is that they seem to not have enough people working the drinks section the first few times I've been here. Extremely slow service. Extremely. Slow. Service. There were four employees when I went on a weekday morning at 8:51. One employee was at the register, one was making coffee orders, and two were standing there, doing nothing. The line was about two people, and there were a few people waiting for orders. I ordered two food items and asked that they be heated up. Then I stepped to the side to wait. And wait. And wait. I noticed one of the employees who was previously doing nothing went to heat up some food items. I thought this was promising. Still, I waited. I noticed that many people came in and went directly to the mobile pick up area and waited. And waited. Finally, I could not take it any longer and went to ask the cashier about my order. He explained that a lot of orders came in. I did notice the woman juggling many different food items. So I waited. And waited. When I got my food at long last, she apologized for the wait. I could have said, "It's okay." But it wasn't. I left at 9:07. Bottom line: It should not take nearly 20 minutes to receive two, heated up food items on a slow weekday morning. read more

Consistency is important for any chain establishment, that's why I come to places like Starbucks because I know what I should be getting when I order. I only order mobile orders from this place, and they have recently screwed up every single one of them. From the time they made me wait 20 minutes to make a breakfast sandwich because they wanted the new trainee to make it, to the time I spent 20 minutes, being the only customer in the place, for a regular cup of black coffee, to the time I ordered a Gingerbread latte, to them just giving me a regular plain latte, to the time I ordered an upside down espresso con Panna and they just gave me espresso. So... The people here need a lot more training, and don't plan on your order being done fast. Other than that, it's a great location and they have nice seats and places to work and study at. read more

I would use the app to make a mobile order but stopped using it after my account was hacked and the balance was drained twice and customer service was of no help. Used to be a daily sucker - I mean customer - but can no longer justify the low quality, long waits and high prices. **on the plus side, the staff are always pleasant. I've been here before and it's very nice to have it so convenient to where I live. I feel like Starbucks always does a great job and the people that work here are very nice and friendly. I was reading the other reviews and I did see that someone said that they were the quiz customers when they ask for the bathroom code, and as a business owner myself I would definitely suggest to you at practice. I know that Boston is a city and people are a little bit stingy with their bathrooms but at the same time People do you need to use the bathroom, and I don't think a huge deal should be made of it when they ask. It is a very nice area and I don't think a code is really necessary. read more

Each time I walk into this Starbucks I feel like I'm being punked and that Ashton Kucher is going to jump out from behind the counter with a camera crew. This Starbucks is the literal manifestation of The Upside Down from Stranger Things where up is down and left is right. This Starbucks always seems sufficiently staffed (4 people behind the counter minimally) but somehow nothing ever happens. I once stood at the register for a full five minutes (timed it) while four employees were engaged in the critical task of restocking the iced coffee cups in the dead of winter. I just stood there looking around wondering if I had somehow stumbled into another multiverse. I actually thought at one point that it was a non functioning mock Starbucks and the employees were just an extension of a live exhibit. OK, so first off not a huge fan of Starbucks in general, but when the mood hits (or when its damn hot in Boston and this is in the right place at the right time) its the place to go. On first glance this has to be the nicest Starbucks I've been in. Super clean and great vibes, love the huge wood slat wall with the map. Also its huge, much bigger then others I've been to with plenty of cozy spots to curl up in or a great long table to work at. The line was pretty long, but it moved at a good speed. Yeah, there is a wait but considering they have mobile orders and a big crowd its to be expected. Honestly never been to a Starbucks where there wasn't a wait, at least this one made for a good wait and its crazy to watch the employees bustling about like little worker bees cracking out coffees and overpriced food to the masses. The guy with the hat and cargo shorts took my order and was on point, seemed to know everyone that came through, and the woman with the colored hair made my coffee perfect even though I made a lot of requests (Do you think they cringe at 12 pumps of classic and five mocha?) I had to use the restroom while I was there and like all other places in Boston you had to ask for a code. It's a kind of a hassle but I'd rather ask for the code then walk in a junkie doing there thing. An unfortunate occurrence that doesn't sit well with my morning Joe. So long story short, decent coffee, great atmosphere and friendly workers ( they don't even care if I order small medium or large) Will return with laptop in hand and do some work there in the future. Why not free wi-fi, AC, and .53 refills on any coffee any size sounds good to me, and if I make sure to read the name on the cup I'll even get what I ordered.
