Today I wanted a really custom order so I skipped the drive thru and went in, they had to fix something at the end when my drinks were ready and they took the time to fix it despite being super busy and they were nice about it not rude at all. Stopped in here this past week for a drink: Inside 5 star very clean and plenty of seats to chill and relax Customer service 2 star while the barista was friendly told me some weird rule about not allowing me to order the drink I wanted. Simple venti cold brew no water, 5 pumps sugar free vanilla with vanilla cold foam. Response we can't make that as requested because our cold brew is premade. Then we pre make our cold foam and the blah blah... Ok well I am not sure but every other Starbucks in America has made me this drink. Then started quoting policy and that's when I tuned her out. Drink efficiency 5 star came out really fast despite being a little busy. Could've been 5 star but the lack of making the drink I wanted and instead got a bunch of reasons why not. This to me could be a case of not putting the customers needs first. read more

Inside out: The location can get quite a line, but it is easy to get in and out of and there is ample parking. The inside looks like every Starbucks but has always been clean when I visited. Food and drinks: since they have a standard menu it is pretty difficult to mess it up but I've seen people do it. I've never had a bad drink from here, the breakfast sandwiches are never burnt in my experience, it's one of my top three Starbucks stores to visit. Service: at least for me I have never had bad service at this location. I would argue with the best service of any location that I visit. The staff is friendly but not overbearing, and they are extremely understanding and flexible when people are difficult or need something explained. I went to get a drink at the local Starbucks on my way home from work sat in line for about 5 minutes behind a few other cars after I ordered. Got to the check out window and was told by the server that she had accidentally deleted my order. Wanted to know what I had ordered? I told her waited another 5 minutes as 3 or 4 more cars pulled in behind me. Got my drink and she charged me for it. I said you know in the old days if Starbucks messed up your order you would get it for free or at least upgrade me one size up. She didn't say anything. I said but I guess this is above your pay grade again no response except for handing me the ATM device. I'm getting to the point of getting ready to ditch Starbucks completely after 25 years or so. Normally I never have a problem with this Starbucks but my boyfriend tried to order me a dairy free drink for Mother's Day I'm new to being dairy free so he's not very educated, and the lady didn't mention to him that a Carmel brûlée can't be made dairy free.. She just put no whip and sub almond milk but the Carmel still has dairy therefore I wasn't able to drink it... I had to give it to my sister.. kind of long, but this is my first ever real review that i felt obligated to add. i went through the drive thru today and ordered my drink this way "venti hot blonde espresso with hazelnut," i wasn't sure how to order it so that is what i said. the girl over the intercom asked if i would like some creamer in my drink, so i said yes. maybe what i ordered didn't make sense, but i didn't receive an explanation that it didn't make sense. i proceeded to the window and paid and tipped as always. she handed me my pup cup( which i ordered last minute because i forgot to order it in the drive thru, so kudos to them for being nice and getting it for me), my boyfriends drink, and then she handed me my venti drink. it was in one of the espresso shot cups so i was a little thrown off. i said "i think this was supposed to me a venti" she kind of looked at me funny and said "uhm... okay." grabbed my drink, poured the little shot cup into a venti cup and handed it to me then walked away without saying anything. i was extra thrown off because that was not what i was expecting. a not even quarter filled venti cup? she walked away and didn't come back to the window for probably a minute, which doesn't sound long but it felt long with a line behind me lol. when she finally came back i said "im sorry i think i ordered a drink...?" and she said i ordered three shots with creamer. i asked her if she could maybe put creamer or something in it to make it a drink. keep in mind i was NOT mean and not trying to be annoying, i was just confused. she snagged the drink out of my hand, rolled her eyes, and said "whatever i'll just fix it." which just genuinely made me more confused and frustrated. she then came back at me kinda harsh asking if i wanted milk or creamer and i was still confused to i was deciding when another girl with curly hair (prior girl who was very distraught with my request had a pixie cut) interceded and actually did a GREAT job explaining to me what i ordered and why they handed it me. she gave me another option to fix the drink and offered to pour in a cup, make it a latte, and even put some caramel drizzle in it to make it cute. she was super sweet, kinda girl and im glad she was able to help me. i get that they were probably busy and stressed. i worked in customer service with food for three years in high school and get how annoying people can be. i just wish she was a bit more mature about it. but i LOVE the girl who helped me last. she was great :) read more

If you want to go inside, park in the adjacent lot, NOT the Starbucks lot or you'll likely have a hard time getting out because of the drive through line. Note to manager: My main beef with this store is how you're obviously instructing your staff to address customers by name. I do not like this. I do not want everyone around me knowing my name. My name is none of anyone else's business. But the worst of it is how they SHOUT it over the intercom (at this particular Starbucks) (so unnecessary to shout that loud for all the cars behind me to hear). And this happens every single time with every single staff person. No other Starbucks anywhere I go engages in this disrespect of privacy. So that tells me management is instructing them to engage in this behavior. This morning as a common example, I ordered ahead on the mobile app, got to the intercom and said, "Mobile pickup for (Ariel)" and was nearly deafened by the booming loud voice, "MOBILE PICKUP FOR ARIEL?" That's correct, I said. Booming voice responds: "OKAY, ARIEL, LET ME MAKE SURE WE'VE GOT THAT ORDER. OKAY ARIEL. WE'LL SEE YOU AT THE WINDOW ARIEL." Then I get to the window and a different staff person greets me. GOOD MORNING ARIEL. HOW ARE YOU TODAY ARIEL? HERE'S YOUR DRINK ARIEL. HAVE A GREAT DAY, ARIEL. Now. All the niceties are fine. I don't like them, but I recognize some people do. So that's fine. But do you have to shout my name so loud, (8 times!) Really? Is that what you call good customer relations? No other Starbucks that I've ever been to engages in this offensive behavior. Suggestion: When someone announces at the intercom, "mobile pickup for (whoever)", all your staff needs to do is check to see you have the order and say something like, "Got it. See you at the window." Then at the window, the staff person can double check the order with the customer before handing it to them: "Grande Americano and scone?" Yes. Hand it to customer. "Have a great day!" (or whatever). This is what most Starbucks do. It's straightforward, respectful, and as a customer it's what I like. Friendly staff. Convenient location... Often there is a bit of a waitMy only real compliant is they run out of Cold Brew 60% of the time... Why not plan and make more cold brew? I feel so petty complaining when there are way bigger problems in the world today... this just seems like an easy fix. Update- unfortunately I spend a lot of time waiting for orders or drinks here. I usually get plain coffee, cold brew, or green tea but somehow there is usually at least a 10 minute wait... the staff is super nice and it's close to home so I keep coming back but after todays 12 minute wait with 1 person ahead of me ... I think it is probably faster to drive to a nearby Starbucks or coffee shop. Since it's been a consistent issue I'll go somewhere else and try again in a few months. It's Starbucks ok? I frequent this one since it's close to where I'm staying until my apartment is open so I get my Cafe Americano here! Grande, to be clear. No frills and no extra anything any it! (I believe the fact that I don't order 95 things to go in it freaks out the blue dyed chick in the window every time) Makes me smile though! Restrooms are typically clean! I subtract one star here because with gender neutral you get the worst of both worlds, men smell worse and contrary to popular opinion, women trash the bathroom worse! So if they checked it once an hour instead of once a shift this would probably be one of the better Starbucks in Boise! Lastly, service is pretty fast! Pros: barista was friendly and the place was very clean. Internet worked well and was fast. My drink I ordered (I always get the chai tea latte) was delicious as always. Cons: someone else accidentally took my drinks so I ended up having to wait extra while they made me a new one. Not necessarily Starbucks fault but still a little frustrating. Still the WORST STARBUCKS EVER. I give one star because I eventually get my drink but it slow and usually wrong. The staff rarely looks up. When you walk in - the whole demeanor of the store is as if the customer is disturbing them. I have given it a second chance and a third chance and a fourth chance and it has not improved in the last nine months. This is the worst Starbucks ever! I've ordered twice from the app. Both times I had to wait at least ten minutes to drink my drink even though it was already made and sitting at the side. Each time at least three people made eye contact with me, but didn't offer to help and I had to be really assertive to eventually get my drink. I love Starbucks and one with a drive thru. There were 4 cars in front of me and they went by very quickly. Less than 5 minutes in the drive thru and the employee was super nice. I order the egg white bites and they were delicious. Whoever though to use the label to help hold down the spoon is a genius. I've never actually given a bad review..but this one begs for one. They have NEVER gotten my drink correct. The staff are rude and snippy (trust me I'm a very very forgiving person..so it takes alot for me to say someone is rude). This is the closet Starbucks to me and I will drive across town to avoid this one. I really tried to like this one (due to the vicinity) but no matter how many times I returned it was the same thing. I visit this store whenever I have an need to be in the area of Fairview and Cole. While the intersection itself is (and always has been) a nightmare, Starbucks is always there to meet the needs of those seeking a java jolt, a tasty snack or some tea.
