Village Coffee is serving up some seriously divine and completely guilt free coffee. Why guilt free? Their coffees are all 100% free trade, organic, and nonGMO. AND (!!), Tuesdays are discount days in The Village and so the Tuesday I was there they were offering their coffees at buy one, get one half off! They have plenty of seating and even have a lovely fire feature you can sit by if you so choose. Plus, in finer weather, there is outdoor seating as well. Bonus reasons for fandom: They serve BOTH a Salted Caramel Mocha and a Mexican Mocha! How to choose? Both are like Autumn in a cup. They have some particularly tasty looking cinnamon rolls (I was just there for coffee but would definitely like to give the cinnamon rolls a try next time!). So- ordered water in a cup- paid for it- YES!!! Along with the kids' Italian Sodas and milks. When I got my order, the manager, said, "In the future, Hon, we can't do water like that". I told her I specifically requested water with ice. That's all I drink, I don't drink plastic bottled water, yep, she replied, we won't be doing that for you in the future. Came for the street Tacos- YUM! Kids wanted a different drink- so Village Coffee was a good option. But this will be my last purchase. If I want ICE WATER, and willing to pay, gimme a break. Nice little spot to grab a cup of coffee at the Village! Coffee is great and their pastries are quite yummy. However, I do think it's strange that it shares that same establishment as Rice Works and Calle 75 Street Tacos. I wish this place was its own little store but I may be asking for too much and have been spoiled with other coffee shops around town. Nevertheless, this place is ideal for those looking to grab a quick cup of coffee and hang around the Village. Be prepared for the volume to be a bit louder than what you are used to at a more typical coffee shop. read more

Finally!! We have a coffee shop in The Village!! I am ecstatic!! Great coffee. Lots of options including Coconut and Almond milk. Wifi. Great setting with high tables and a fire place to cozy up to. My only complaint right now, is that they don't open until 9:30am. I'm sure that makes sense for them as businesses are just starting to fill up The Village office spaces, and until they do, they might not be super busy in the early ams. But selfishly, I really hope that they open around 6/7am in the near future. If and when that happens, The Village Coffee will have a guaranteed weekly customer as I am walking distance and I need a break from my home office. This place would be ideal!! read more

This coffee shop is located inside a little building in the Village it shares with an Asian fusion place and a taco spot. The atmosphere here is open and inviting. I usually sit in a little corner right behind the area where they make their drinks and they bring it right out to me. I don't expect them to, but they always do so as a result I always tip. The coffee is pretty good. I always order the same thing everywhere I go - white mocha with amaretto. Thank dog Idaho likes amaretto; it's hard to find at coffee shops in California. My mocha is always right on the verge of too sweet, but not quite there. I should probably just ask for an extra shot of espresso or one less shot of amaretto. I'll do that next time and update on the taste portion here. The employees: super awesome friendly peeps. They always have a smile for me and a little bit of small talk. They always seem busy when you walk in but are quick to come help you when you're ready. The pastries, as is the case with most coffee spots, are mediocre and overpriced. Save yourself a few bucks and buy an entire dozen giant muffins from CostCo, then wrap them individually in saran wrap. Boom. Done. Overall, definitely a decent place. I come here several times a week to work since there are less distractions here than at home. Yes, I said there are LESS DISTRACTIONS at the outdoor mall than there are in my house. So now you know why I am always reviewing coffee places. Come here for the coffee, stay to watch the Bellagio-like fountain out front. Or people watch. I've had Village Coffee a few times, and their product is good! They make yummy coffee and also can sling a really good London Fog tea-latte. This might be trivial to some, but my main reason for giving it 3 stars is that I just can't get over the smell inside the area it's housed in. Village coffee shares quarters with Rice Works & Calle 75 Street Tacos. Each of these things on their own are SO good, but housed in one area together- it makes a really unpleasant smell. Like I said, it might not be a big deal for some, but I think the reason it bothers me so much is because I love coffee for the experience of it- the taste, smell, atmosphere, etc. When I walk in to a coffee shop I want to smell freshly ground espresso, not a confusing and unpleasant concoction of scents. If you're looking to grab a cup of coffee and go, then Village Coffee is great. However if you're looking to linger and hang out, I wouldn't recommend it. read more

Arrived at the Village Coffee on a Saturday morning just before opening at 10 am and the machine were not ready for us as much as we were for them. We didn't have to wait long before we were sipping on their salted caramel mocha. What a delicious drink it was so rich and creamy. The area has multiple wooden tables and chairs and a nice comfortable seating area in front of a fire place. We found ourselves talking for two hours sipping on our drink before moving on to other stores in the Village. read more

Village coffee gets better by the day. It is a great place to grab a cup of coffee, sit and people watch or to grab and go. The coffee at Village Coffee is solid, served hot and fresh and the people are always friendly. I like that they've added a larger selection of pastry and other items to their menu. Their coffee is average price for a cup of coffee at a shop. One of the things I like most is the seating and the fireplace. You can grab a cup of coffee or hot chocolate for the kids on a frosty day and enjoy a beautiful fire while you sip your beverage. This is a great place to watch the water show and people watch as well. It is a fun, lively atmosphere and seating is almost always available. I prefer this to the coffee at the Gelato shop by far which is the only other place to get coffee at the Village. read more

I love the Village and what they are presenting. What I don't like is being gouged for eating and drinking. Typically we'll eat at home prior to going to the Village or eat on the way to the Village. Village Coffee changed that perception for me today. We were attending the Grito de Delores Mexican Independence Day festival from 4:00 to 8:00pm. My wife and daughter are fanatic coffee drinkers and I saw that Village coffee was offering a discount on their Mexican Mocha. I walked up to the very friendly cashier and she asked me if I wanted hot, Iced, or Frozen. I ordered a hot and an iced. I used the Square payment that is typical in the businesses that are not sit down types in the Village and waited. The coffees were ready in a Mexican Jumping Bean Minute and I salsa'ed my way back to the counter. I noticed a small smooth rock on each of the lids and haphazardly thought it was to keep the coffees in place. Like a typical gringo, I placed them on the counter. The lady told me that not to leave them behind as they are the jewel of the drink. Dumbfounded I had to ask what they were. She pulled me in close to whisper in my ear like we were day traders outside of Wall Street's Stock Exchange, " Those are chocolate covered coffee beans" I generated an Ohhhhhhhh and then pleasantly thanked her and smiled. I passed the drinks to the girls and then said, " Try these first." They looked puzzled but with a trusting leap of faith they popped the chocolate drenched treats into their mouths and raved about it for hours afterwards. This is a perfectly nice and affordable coffee shop that is exactly what the Village needs to keep me and others enjoying the sights and sounds. read more

Went here once with a coffee craving and wasn't very happy. I got a Vanilla Latte and it didn't really taste much like vanilla, was kind of bitter and flat tasting. Props for the cool bean/chocolate thing on the lid and at least the coffee wasn't watery like Dutch Bros. Lastly, their smallest size is a 12OZ which is much too big for me and puts their cheapest drink at least $4.50... Pretty expensive if I'm going to throw 1/3rd or more of it away. About average for a specialty coffee house. read more

There dont seem to be any bathrooms in the coffee shop itself but there are around the area! The person on register on dec 13th at 8:15pm was so sweet! We had arrived for our film extremely early, so there was plenty of time to walk around the grounds in the searing heat. I started to crash soon thereafter and I saw someone carrying an iced coffee and thought that there might be a shop on the grounds or somewhere nearby. We went to one of those standing directories and saw that there was one in the center of the complex. We walked and the cool air blast is what was needed. I instantly perked up and ordered a nonfat iced coffee and my GF ordered a cinnamon bun and a water. The seating area is quite large and Village Coffee and Calle 75 Street Tacos share the space. They have large wooden tables and chairs and it is comfortable. Service was great and it was what the doctor ordered. Oh, and from one of the newspaper profiles on the place - I believe Chuck Norris' stunt double works for the company in some capacity. He's either a partner or he's in charge of buying the coffee beans. read more

All I had was an irish cream breve, but it was a darn good one. The location is really hip and stylish, yo. The Village is basically U-Village in Seattle's U-District. This coffee shop offers high custom ability, a few pastry options. The menu is a tad overwhelming, but the staff was friendly in helping me pick out a drink. read more

What a cute coffee shop. This shop has two other little restaurants in the same building. Which makes it a really fun environment. The seating is really neat and the huge fireplace is inviting and makes for a great place to visit or even read. Michaela and Kristen helped us and were wonderful and very friendly. Gotta try their coffee vanilla smoothie! The smoothie isn't blended on site, but instead comes out of a soft serve machine. Probably explains why it was extremely smooth and creamy, but I appreciated the fact that it had real coffee and not just artificial coffee flavor it in it. read more

The coffee I bought was a luxury, water shouldn't be. I always get a water with my coffee, so I won't be going there. I came here all the way from SoCal on a trip visiting Boise, Idaho for the first time. My family and I decided to go in here because it was really hot. I wanted to try the Italian soda that they had here and I wasn't disappointed. I got the peach-flavored Italian soda and it had everything that I wanted. It was the perfect amount of sweet and really refreshing. I needed that boost, especially after walking around shopping when it was 100 degrees outside. The workers are always extremely friendly. The environment is always very good. My coffee I always get is Americano but not room for cream but chai. I have gotten some of their other drinks and smoothies and I'm never disappointed. First time being here and was VERY disappointed! The girl that took my order looked like she didn't know how to use the register. She was very slow! I expected this to be a "run in, run out" type of deal, but not with this worker! She made my drink slow, she even wrote my drink name on the cup very slow, don't sure why. I waited, to me, felt like almost 5-7 mins for my drink. As I was watching her, she would pull the shots and then pour them back out into the espresso machine. She did that twice before actually pouring shots into my drink. Besides the drink making, HORRIBLE customer service! While the "slow" girl was making my drink, another girl was there just standing on her phone. Horrible service, not even being engaged with me being a customer. AND, to top things off, the drink was horrible. Super bitter and burnt like taste! I would NEVER recommend anyone to this place ever! The Asian & Taco place had better customer service towards me and I wasn't even ordering from them! Horrible management in maintaining their employees and horrible customer service. read more

I really hate to leave a negative review but I'm really disappointed with my service tonight. Every time I've gone to this location my espresso shots have been burned, I have never said anything or even returned my drink because I don't want to be that person. But I also don't want to waste my money, so this time I asked if they could pour my shots straight into a little milk so they wouldn't go bad, and was met back with a lot of attitude and explaining that they don't ever let their shots go bad and snarky eye-rolls and making obvious comments to each other about me when I could still see them. As a barista I completely understand that customers can have weird and annoying requests but I honestly didn't feel like this was that ridiculous of a request? I just didn't understand why it was that big of a deal to put some cream in the cup before you put the shot in... Very poor customer service. read more
