Hard to describe what happened, but I'll try. First off, Kilwins historically has been solid over…read morethe 9 years of coming to HHI. I want to give them that. But last night, on July 10, 2026, they were not. It was somewhat of an awkward, tourist trap like experience for me. I'm not sure I'm coming back at least for a few years. I won't belabor the points, but I feel robbed... - slow, disengaged workers (there for over an hour) - workers listening to AirPods - closed up early, walking around w drinks and closing blinds. - no waffle cones on a Friday night at prime time. I asked. They were not willing to make them either. - the scoops were so small, really small. Putting a value of it, I estimated for the amount and size I was paying about $35-$40 per pint. That is just too much. - the was a pregnant lady in the waffle area. I'm gonna give Kilwins the benefit of the doubt and say they were doing a kind gesture to a person in need. But it was an awkward atmosphere, very awkward, so I do wonder a bit at least. I love Kilwins. Hope they get their act together. But be aware. It might not be the Kilwins you knew on a previous visit.

I understand the higher prices for touristy attractions but this was brutal. The coffee was okay. It was a basic ice latte but it didn't have a great flavor even with the flavor added. 5/10 The chai tea was solid. No real complaints. 7/10 The muffin - this was not good, not super moist, even tasted a little old. The crumb on top typically the best part wasn't good. The cinnamon/pecan roll - yeah this was average. the inside was good but the outer portions had no flavor. Overall, this place wasn't great especially for the price. Maybe if you slide in for just coffee it'll be worth it but even that was $7 for that.
